Completely agree with that. As for him being under insane pressure? Not so much. What's more important; winning at Marseille or Tottenham? He is putting himself under pressure. He should have treated this like the nothing game it is and made wholesale changes. Another bad result tonight and he's under even more pressure with a tired team away to dangerous opponents on Sunday.

Why would there be? Carlo is obviously taking this game seriously even though it changes nothing, we still finish first and have a big game on Sunday. The man is going is insane. Honestly that's the only explanation I have for what he is doing.

It's not in my opinion. He isn't a strong manager and is happy to be dictated to. Not a lot of manager would have gone into a season full of expectations with such a small and ageing squad backed up by kids he doesn't trust. Would Ferguson or Mourinho do it? Never. Even Wenger gets 100s of kids as back up that he actually plays. The Chelsea hieracrhy are taking the piss and Carlo seems content with letting them do it. They found the perfect manager for their cost-cutting exercise.

Since this is the last meaningless game we'll play for a long time it would be criminal if Sturridge doesn't get a start. (Carlo only gives him meaningless games/minutes). It would be even more shocking if Kalou gets a game after his performence against Everton, you can not reward that sort of display with another start.

I agree with you that Anelka is a better finisher than Drogba. He is the best finisher at the club by a long distance. However he has started to drop deeper into midfield and is ineffective in these areas which is a real problem. Malouda sometimes gets into better goalscoring positions and he's a winger. I think Anelka needs to start playing more like a right forward as opposed to a right sided attacking midfielder. Stay upfield more and play on the last shoulder of the defenders because he has the pace and finishing ability to score more goals. Either the instructions he is getting or the way he wants to play is not working for him or for the team.

You know Pienaar may not be such a bad idea. He is a very good player that will be available for free in the summer (refusing to sign new contract). We can do much worse and as he won't cost a penny will be excellent for the cost-cutting exercise.

True some of his crosses weren't that bad. I loved his cross against Monaco.
