This is a good move for Sturridge. I'm going to try and watch as many Bolton games as I can now. It will be interesting to see how he works with big men like Elmander and Davies because he has the pace and directness to compliment their styles. Hopefully he stays injury free!

I don't think he will and I hope he doesn't. The problem this season has been we have not had enough forwards and competition for places. If he leaves we're left with Torres, Anelka, Kalou and Sturridge. Anelka is getting worse every game, Kalou is we all know not that good and Sturridge is not trusted. Torres is very injury prone. If Drogba leaves we would have to buy another striker because the last 5 months have shown 4 forwards is simply not enough. And I don't think after spending £50m on one player we will buy another striker in the summer. Drogba has one year left on his contract so will be made to see it out and rightly so. He can still give a lot if he plays 30 games next season and gets enough rest with rotation. This summer we have to improve our midfield and that is mainly in the wide areas. I think Zhirkov is gone and that will be the major change. The summer is going to be quiet with maybe 1 or 2 new players maxium arriving.

Can you imagine Torres and the Chelsea medical department together? The same medical department that told Drogba it was just a cold when it was malaria. The same medical department that told Lampard 'dont worry you're only out for 10 days' and when it was a serious 3 month injury? Will they even make Torres do a medical? They would ask him to do star-jumps and walk in a straight line. This is going to be the biggest mistake ever.

Why bollocks? Drogba has played 26 games this season that is one more than Torres. He has more goals and way more assists. And don't give me the he plays in a better team sh*t as an excuse because nobody creates chances for Drogba and today was proof of that. In the next window? So this season is a write off? Because Spurs have a much stronger squad and we are not guaranteed 4th.

True but the players on the bench are becoming weaker and weaker. Kakuta may have been completely out of his depth in the squad but he is infinitely more useable than Sala is.

Drogba at 32 years old is fitter than Torres will ever be. Torres at 32 will be washed up even worse than Sheva. The truth is you're going to hear/read this sentence a lot "if only Torres was fit/available we would have won that game". Pienaar is far from average but you obviously don't watch enough football to know that.

Two days before the transfer window closes - 2 players have left and none have come through. Ok Bertrand is back at the club but he won't play any serious football and will get last 10 minutes of one or two games. Sala was on the bench today, player who will never come on just there to fill up the numbers. Are you not panicking at the state we're in? We've signed no one. 28 days to find players and they're bidding for Torres in the 11th hour.

Another kid who will never play more than 2 games for the senior team. Just close the academy down and we might break even sooner rather than later.

And it's injury free for a reason, they can chop and change because they have about 10 more players than us! We keep playing the same team every time and only change because of injury because the drop off in quality between the first team and the bench (bar on or two players) is HUGE. What we don't need is another superstar we need 3-4 good squad players. They are looking to add more quality but as usual they are inept and don't have a clue what they're doing. Forget Torres, Abramovich should make a bid for the Man Utd board because they're football people that know how to run a club.

Utd haven't bought a superstar in years and they have won 3 leagues titles in the least 4 seasons, a Champions League and look likely to win their 4th league title. We have more 'stars' than them but their squad is so much better than ours we can't even compete. This isn't a statement of intent it is just a clueless board panicking and bidding crazy money for an injured tart who wants to leave a sinking ship.

Another Sheva. Injury prone and will cost huge transfer fee + wages. With the money he will cost we can buy 2-3 very good players. This whole transfer is a joke.

It is because the people running the club are an absolute embarrassment. No vision, no cohesion or long-term planning. Everybody has a different agenda. This is the sad reality. We support a circus.

Benayoun is actually a good player. It's such a shame he has been injured because he would have been a huge help during that horrible run.

The new rules basically want to keep the status quo. The don't want clubs like Barcelona or Madrid to ever come under threat from upstart clubs that can compete financially. For anybody who thinks these new rules are good you will see how wrong you are in10 years time when we can't compete with the likes of Real, Barcelona, Manchester and Arsenal because we don't make anywhere near as much money as they do. They all have bigger stadiums and Real + Barca make more money through stadiums and TV deals.
