I tried, but the machine exploded when it came to his hair
-
He is already there

I had Song in my team Should I replace him asap? First time I'm playing

Well now, it's down to our personal taste on what kind of defensive midfielder we prefer, but if you want to put stats in, Fellaini won the most tackles after Cabaye in the previous season and had most successful passes in the Everton squad. He also consistently covers more ground then his teammates and he is just an ideal player to torture someone in the opposition team like Kagawa and Silva and like Yaya Toure did to Mata when we played City. On the other hand, I've seen quite a bit of situations in the last couple of seasons where Mikel should have been running like crazy to tackle and stop a dangerous opposition attack but instead he chose to cover.

I know, just telling people not to get really excited... You are like talkchelsea's personal twitter transfer update
-
I thought at first it was sarcastic #sackfergie trending but now I can't believe it's actually trending Clueless idiots...

You went in the Mikel comparison so I will respond Yes, Mikel is a big lad and could be used as anchor man but when I watch him play he just doesn't impose himself physically like Fellaini, Tiote or Yaya Toure do for example. Instead, he looks to me like he is guarding some space around and waiting for someone else to go and do the dirty work. I don't rate his jumping that much also, with his strength and height I would expect more. It's not a big surprise that he still hasn't scored for us minus 2 goals in FA Cup quite some time ago. I am not impressed with his forward thinking and play also, while as you've seen Fellaini just tortured Manchester United playing basically as a striker Marouane is obviously not worth 25,30 mills and I never mentioned any massive money figures. In fact, here, a part of one of my posts here Besides, I'm pretty sure that if he came here, somebody would leave so we would get a part of the money back.

This doesn't mean a thing, it's just a guess from telegraph. There wasn't any talk about negotiations breaking down and he isn't here already only because we have refused to pay how much Wigan want for him. No offense to you mate, just saying
-
He was good, but nothing really impressive. Some nice passes here and there, but looked a bit lost from time to time. He isn't praised? Well yeah, this is a Chelsea forum and he is hardly going to get a mention here unless he does something more then give a regular performance... I noticed though that he avoided dribbling which could've helped United create more space since they had a full parking lot ahead of them.

His role on paper was to go up the pitch, hold up the play and trap long balls. I believe he did that very well. In fact, he did that and tracked back to help out defense. That's a lot of running for a massive guy like him, yet he done it well. You say slow on the ball and unable to dictate the play? Well yeah, he is not a bloody playmaker, but a massive guy with massive hair who tackles around and sends the ball to someone more creative when under pressure. Yet, he is reliable and solid with the ball at his feet since he can keep it under pressure so it compensates for the lack of technical ability. His stamina is also very exceptional and whenever I've watched him play he was always very active on the pitch putting pressure around the opposition midfield. On top of that all, his best performances have come when it really mattered. Whenever Everton played against big opponents, he was among the best players. Yes, you can argue that we don't need players like that and I won't be dragged into discussion whether he is suitable for our formation since we can go on and on about the double pivot role, but you just can't deny that he is a very good player. I would take Fellaini with his simple passing and kick ass defending over slowpoke relaxed Mikel in an instant. He is even younger then Mikel Perhaps, but I'm not doing medicals for free *regular attacking lineup When we want to attack the opposition, put them under pressure and try going for counter attacks. Like on a regular PL game against Sunderland/Wigan...
-
Well we are, for quite some time. Along with Olympic games that is the reason while this transfer is dragging on so much. Porto is requesting a large sum of money and we don't want to pay it. Hulk wants to leave and they are trying to squeze as much millions as possible.
-
Hopefully some of you changed your mind about his quality now. Yes, he has played in an advanced position which is vastly different then the one in defensive midfield is, but it is evident that he is a beast in air, has amazing stamina and work rate while he managed to send out some nice passes while being under massive pressure. I would put him ahead of any of our players in the defensive midfield in a milisecond.
-
Well fucking done, United couldn't do shit. Brilliant move from Moyes to put Fellaini in a more advanced position to act as a target man.
-
Haha I meant penalty kicks, his free kicks are nothing special... damn, gotta start checking what I write...
-
Am I the only one that thinks Lampsy takes best free kicks in Europe? They ain't pretty or really accurate, but they somehow always get in.
-
People also tend to forget that Cole had help from Bertrand on the left wing while Ivanovic was mostly alone on the right wing.
-
Come on Jake, say it! He said it
-
All I care is 3 points and no injuries today. We have a really big and long season ahead and I don't give a fuck if we defend a bit as long as we keep winning. I'm really happy for Ivanovic to bang our 1st goal in the PL and Hazard has been really good. We finally have someone who will be a constant pain in the butt to opposition
-
Renamed it... Latest is that he favors a move to Arsenal rather then Liverpool.
-
Arsenal drew at Emirates, Liverpool lost to WBA with Lukaku scoring and having Agger sent of, Tottenham lost to Newcastle 2-1 and QPR got demolished 5-0 by Swansea at home What a wonderful world I live in :blue scalf:
-
Busquets and Song are 24 years old so they still have a lot ahead of them. With Barca playing with 1 defensive midfielder I can see Romeu staying here
-
Noticed that too, but I've read and the commentator said that he isn't match fit.
-
Just goes on to show you the power of media nowadays.
-
He probably meant that Hulk returned to Porto but London is calling him.
