I don't know the source but the idea sounds very reasonable and could explain the quite around the story in the last few weeks, the reported "silent agreement" between the clubs, and the reports of confidence in Chelsea about the deal.
-
Chelsea are ready to table a £15m bid for #Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo should John Obi Mikel be sold. #CFC (Sunday People) Im pretty sure, after todays game, that he's not in Pep's plans. There are too many CM's before him. Pep also said couple of days ago that he would like to ship some players out to make the squad smaller.
-
No reason to laugh at them this time, it was reported also by Di Marzio so i guess its true.
-
If we missed out on Falcao and Cavani, we are missing out on Messi and Ronaldo too. Havent made a bid for anyone out of those 4 players. The club will look bad becuase we didnt improve the most important thing we had to improve. Again, if Lukaku wont explode.
-
Without Rooney, our strike force we'll be decent only if Lukaku can turn himself into a monster, but in the biggest level this time. "Decent striker" for Chelsea is someone who is good enough to win everything for us.
-
Out of the blue? big? who could that be? Zlatan stays at PSG, its Rooney or Suarez, that is it.
-
Reports that Verratti wants to leave PSG. His agent and the club couldnt find an agreement on the new contract, player want 3-4 million Euros and PSG would only give him 1.7m. For now it dosent look good but theres another meeting next week.
-
Theres a possible, reasonable reason why he's yet to request a transfer? Maybe Utd inform him they will sell him after they'll get their businesses done?
-
Just thought about it, Mou throw two statements: 1. It's Rooney or nothing, no CM will come. 2. There is no way anyone would leave. Now if Rooney will come, a striker most leave, Jose knows that and he still made that statement. I want to think its a sign that those statements are not very serious.
-
Napoli have agreed personal terms with him. Im pretty sure its all a trick to get him a new-better contract in Porto, but according to Gianluca di marzio Porto want 35-40 m euros for him. 35m for Martinez is something to think about if its true.
-
Luiz Gustavo: "I want to stay on at Bayern Munich. I am under contract with the club and I want to fulfil that commitment. I have been in a position to fight for a first team role throughout my career. I will keep on fighting this year, too." Well thats not very good for any team who wants him, but i guess Pep will decide if he wants him in the squad or not. Find it hard to belive he'll want to sell him though... they are playing 4-3-3 so they need CM's.
-
I think Oscar is going to be hugh next season. Playing infront of the double pivot and brings his magic like in Brazil. I think Mou would also like his work rate in the middle and it will give us the look of a 4-3-3 in times (like someone already suggested). and that will bring Mata to the right.
-
Should we be concerned about not wanting to spend 60m on Cavani and Falcao? i dont think so. Its a fair decision by the club. Should we be concerned about us not bidding for strikers like Gomez, Higuain, Jovetic (if you have, throw more names)? imo, no. I think non of them would have been a good buy for the team Mou wants to have, and its much better to go after Rooney. Should we be concerned if we wont get Rooney and our striker force will be Ba, Torres and Lukaku? yes.
-
Oh, havent got it right. Buy my post still relevant i saw it in other posts I wish i could see a reliable source about us going for Falcao. Just a reminder- the last rumors came during the last season, especially in January, and i think it was all from that Spanish TV show Punto Pelota. Who arent very reliable it seems. And now it looks like we havent went for Cavani at all... well.

This is the only forum in the world where Chelsea fans are afraid of the signing of Negredo in City. Limited striker for mid table teams in most football fans mind. i only see people laugh on this expensive signing. Jovetic isnt better than Tevez, so whats the big deal or the big change from last season? City had Balo-Aguaro-Tevez-Dzeko, now they have Negredo-Aguaro-Jovetic-Dzeko. hoooo We defenetly need a striker, but we'd be extremely stupid to buy Negredo or even Jovetic who isnt a real goal scorer.
-
Apparently. Big word. I realy dont think we were after Jovetic, and im not sure we wanted Falcao and all the other strikers except Cavani and Rooney. no real serious source on anyone buy those two, not even on Falcao.
-
Thats not a reason. Mikel could be sold, even if not for 15m we could still sell him for 50% or a bit more. Money is not the issue as i said, and Mikel is in the same age as Gustavo so its not about building for the future or creating a future squad. Mikel-Gustavo is an head-to-head, very simple replacement. When you spend 18m on a 6th attacking midfielder, you can allow yourself to spend 8m or even 16m on a very needed DM. Not saying Jose thinks its needed, thats the big question.
-
Absolutely agree Lief. which brings the question... why the hell we arent going for him?! we could easily sell Mikel for some amount (like 8-10m at least) and get Gustavo for 16m pounds as reported. Its not about the money, its Jose, lets see if he's realy ok with his central midfield.
-
Im sure Moyes is not the one who decides if Rooney is leaving or not.
-
Sir Alex Ferguson told CE David Gill The club have already seen the best of Wayne Rooney, It's time to sell. (ESPN) "Rooney is here longer than Cantona, Cole, Van Nistelrooy, Solskjaer. Everyone has their time." (#mufc employee) (ESPN) Full story by Miguel Delaney: http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/espnfcunited/id/8063?cc=4716

Those "we'll defenetly wont sell/buy anyone" comments in mid-July are realy getting annoying. Especially if he means it.
-
He played only 16 games becuase they got Martinez, and i said why they chose to go for Martinez. Im not overhyping him, he's the ultimate DM for us imo. Its funny that people write their opinions when they havent seen any of the player. Its easy to see you're one of them, checking how many games he played... come on. Go and watch some Youtube videos at least. Be good at what your doing.
-
Im not sure why Wolfsburg are the only club, becuase he's easily one of the best DM's in the world. Just watch him in the final against Spain in the Conf Cup or against Real in the SF in 2012. maybe Wolfsburg arent realy the only club, and maybe Bayern werent sure about him leaving and it was in a discussion with Pep and the board until now (and with Thiago's signing) If you look at their performances in the last two seasons, he's better than De Rossi. Why would Bayern let him go? they have Martinez who is more suitable to their game, and with Pep as a manager and with Thiago's arrival it seems Gustavo wont get a big part in the team.
-
According to Sky Italy Bayern Munich is currently meeting Wolfsburg for the transfer out of Luiz Gustavo. God we got to make a go at him, if he's available as it seems he would be a hugh signing for us. Sell Mikel and bring him. Gianluca Di Marzio, very reliable, is also on it. http://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/calciomercato/wolfsburg-incontro-in-corso-per-luiz-gustavo/
