How long did it take for Sky Sports to say something about Pedro? They were literally the last. Di Marzio first of all know almost everything about Juventus transfers, and he had way more exclusives about Chelsea than Sky Sports in the last few years.

Except for the hype haven't seen his play.
IMO, not very impressive in the big games, not yet. You pay so big more about the potential than the current performances. He's yet to find the way to contribute constantly throughout the game.
Like I said many times, I think he needs to move from Seria A and Juventus to find his place in the football pitch. Seria A is too different from the modern game.

Interesting we haven't been linked with a backup option. Either means the club want Pogba because he's a star not because they think we necessariliy have a CM issue or they are confident of getting a deal done.
Or they only want someone who would get into our regular XI. Like Pogba or Koke. Not an improved Ramires/Mikel like Witsel or Schneiderlin.
Another option is that we did looked to replace Mikel but non of our targets wanted to come for a limited squad role.

I hope we are willing to spend that sort of money on alternatives, like Koke for example, if the Pogba deal doesn't happen (which is looking likely).
Koke dont want to leave, i thought thats obvious by now.
I would put this offer for Thiago Alcantara. Started on the bench for the second time in a row for Bayern. Although Pep would be crazy to let him go.

I think I saw him enough times playing for Shaktar, liked watching him but he was never so clinical like he is right now. Reasons? Motivation, better players around him, but most of all I think the Bundesliga defenders know very little about him, it's too easy for him right now. I don't know if they'll get much better because the defense in this league is pretty poor, but I find it very hard to believe that Costa will keep winning game in this rate.
And come on, now Mourinho don't let his attackers to attack? Maybe in the big games, we know it's not true about the other games. Costa would be less productive for Chelsea because PL defensive game is better, and his main move is to sprint on the line and pass, which in Chelsea we never finish those chances (not enough players going for those balls).

Pogba/Vidal should have been done months ago.
Should have been done? sounds like an ordinary task. Pogba was pursued by most top clubs of Europe this summer and stayed in Juventus. We dont know much about the VIdal-Bayern deal - who else wanted him or when Bayern started the negotiation,
but he wanted to go there.

We went too late with the bid. Should juve still have Vidal and plenty of time to bring replacement, Pogba hadnt switch to #10 and commit himself, maybe he would be ours now...
I doubt its the first time we try to do something with Pogba this summer. Even if it is, its not only about Chelsea, Barca couldnt find a deal for January or next summer, and City as well.
The difference between Pogba and Vidal is that Vidal wanted to leave. According to Marotta and Pogba, he's ok with another season in Juve.
The key for any deal with Pogba is to make him ask to leave Juventus. Marotta always said it, they dont keep unhappy players.

Im a lot more positive about the club in the last few days. Signing Pedro who Mourinho rates highly in 24h & making this offer for Pogba is like a breath of fresh air after an unconvincing and confusing transfer window. A big surprise for me.
Good to see that the club intentions are still very high, even if they needed a few bad results to act (or did they? maybe it was coming either way?).
Still hope for another player who isnt Stones.

My theory is that we contacted Juventus months ago and they made it clear Pogba is not available this summer and we didn't want to settle for a secondary choice. After the City result, in a bid to appease the fans and see if Juventus have had a change of heart, we made this bid that's being reported.
I dont agree with the "appease the fans" part but everything else might be correct, especially the part about not settling for a secondary option. I dont think we're trying any other midfielder if its not Pogba or Koke.
Mourinho IMO wants to complete his first XI "for good", its either a player who will complete the midfiled or nothing. Players like Witsel and even Nainggolan and Moutinho cannot be this player in the long term.
Plus, we have no idea if those player will come for a squad role.
Now that we have Pedro for RW, and probably we wont get Pogba, i hope Mourinho is going to trust either Oscar or Willian for the #10 role.

Di Marzio's connections with Juventus are 5 times better than whatever we have with Sky Sport.
And there is also Mundo Deportivo, Sport... i think its enough.

Am i the only one in SHOCK that we tried to sign him this week?
I mean i cant see how anyone can be disappointed because he probably wont come... few days ago we talked about the club doing nothing to improve. Now we move for Pogba and Pedro in a few days.
Thats a huge story whatever the result will be.

I believe in Oscar, but if Mourinho cant or dont want to use Oscar with Matic-Cesc in the big games, and he's intending to keep playing Ramires or a DM in every big game, there's no point in rejecting a Pogba for Oscar deal.
Pogba could give us a steady XI, for big games and all the others. If Mourinho cant see this potential with Oscar/Willian in CAM, then we need a solution.

I dont know. We got him for 30m pounds, there arent many clubs who: 1) pay this kind of money 2) clubs that WIllian would like to go to.
And when you look at the clubs who could look for AMs like Willian its even smaller. I dont think PSG and Bayern (like the reports said) need another player like Willian, far from it.
And of course, selling him without getting another player will be extremely stupid. We finaly have options with Pedro in, so we let go of Willian? this will be crazy.

Well Cuad is probably off as we already got Pedro. Oscar would be directly replaced by Pogba who can play anywhere as CAM or CM or b2b in 4:3:3. But yeah we should get extra midfielder without letting any current midfielder go.
However that would almost certainly be the price to sell Oscar if we want Pogba. Juve is on look for #10, Isco no chance, Draxler was alredy denied by Bepe, so they might be interested in Oscar.
Might be? Oscar was their 1st option along with Isco.

Well I think we really do need a more dynamic midfielder who is good a solid box to box player and an effective ball winner, someone in the mould of a Nainggolan, Marchisio, Strootman, Perez or similar. I think Witsel is a decent player and that but really, not exactly Chelsea standard. Maybe say the same of Nainggolan but still.
Really gutted we didn't try and get Rakitic to be honest, although it was obvious he was wanted by Barca but a MF of Rakitic - Matic - Cesc would be class. Someone who is rounded like him but also at a high level.
I agree a box-to-box CM would be better. Though the players you mentioned probably not available at all. i would probably go for Moutinho, but i cant see us getting a player like him, it will be a big blow for Oscar.

'Pedro Rodriguez' has a lot more sex appeal than 'Pedro'.
Tbh the biggest problem of Pedro is that he also doesnt look like a star in any kind of way... i always found him annoying-looking in a Barcelona shirt. But i already forgot about it obviously...
