DELETE!
Every Juve fan i know says Mandzukic is better than Morata, for now at least. There's a reason why Morata was only a sub when mario was fit.
Paying 50+ milion on Morata is fucking crazy. Cant see what our board is thinking. You pay this kind of money on special talent, Morata is not special.

PSG got that Polish DM, Mourinho is going for Pogba... looks good.

He's good, not 58 mill good. Realistically the 58 mill good players can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
Yes, general opinion is that we'll play 4-4-2 next season. But how can we play 4-4-2 with Cesc? Conte surely wont play Cesc with only one CM next to him.
A diamond formation is the only way, and that means Hazard/Willian wont play, something like this:
---Matic---
Cesc-Kante
---Hazard--
Costa-Morata
-
Do you really think he's that good for this big money? im not sure..
And what buying him means? playing him together with Costa in 4-4-2?
-
I really wanted us to sign him last season. I want to say it could be the signing that will let us forget about the Douglas Costa saga...
I dont know if he could be a regular starter though. Hazard and Willian will play on the wings every game certainly, and Conte surely wont play with Cesc in a double pivot regularly (means we'll play 4-3-3 probably). Thats why we're after Naingolan.
But, i do think we need another option for attacking midfield. I really dislike Pedro's game, and against the lesser teams we'll have to have a more attacking formation as an option. And its not like Brahimi is a superstar who cant sit on the bench.
So... i wish its true. Brahimi-Hazard-Willian would be a joy to watch.

Agreed. Unless we continue to deploy a 4-3-2-1 with Pjanic at #10 and a new DM signed to play in the "2" with Cesc it doesn't seem likely we'd be after him. A midfield with Cesc and Pjanic both playing deeper will require one hell of a shield. Like two DM's.
Playing 4-2-3-1 with Cesc-DM and Pjanic at #10 is even less defensive than a 4-3-3 with that kind of 3.
-
I think Vidal or Nainggolan are much more needed than Pjanic. Pjanic is similar to Cesc but with more pace and works better in defense. As far as i know he's also similar to Cesc in his lack of stability. And im not sure Conte will play both together.
Tbh my move would be going for 2 out of Vidal/Nainggolan/Kante and play them with Cesc. We need to change our midfield completely, from slow to ultra dynamic.

Usually im very passionate about Chelsea, thinking about the team all the time, reading everything related to the club... but this season i felt like i lost my Chelsea.
I just watched the games, sometimes got a bit mad, but tbh i wasnt too bothered. I just knew we're shit and nothing will change, and all of our big plans/fantasies about the club have gone to trash... the skies have fallen and nothing will be the same from now on.
Today i felt like my Chelsea is back, for a bit. I reacted to our goals, i was nervous about Sunderland's attacks... i felt like it was way more than just 4 months since i cared.
I was a big fan of Mourinho, and i still want him to succeed, but it came to the point that i couldnt see him anymore.
It was a nice start today, but the players have to continue. Its their crucial moment.
About the fans in the bridge, i think its embarrassing, makes Chelsea looks so small, like we are Mourinho FC and not a serious club. Its a cult like someone here said.
But its the same fans who sang to Lampard 5 minutes after he stubbed them in the back by going to City trying to win the league over us, his fans.
Some of our fans are so over reliant.

Only if we did it two months ago... well.

God i hate UCL draws, same games all the time. And obviously Barca-Arsenal and Bayern-Juve, 2/3 of the best games, are being played at the same day.
And it always happens.

have not been here that long enough but any half decent striker would have had a first half hattrick
I asked seriously which players are believed to be "part of the problem", not you specifically. When i think about Chelsea right now im thinking "its all shit", but i guess that fans here elaborate about any of the problems we have.
Im kind a happy i dont have the energy and time to do it this time. Im just watching the games and thats it, maybe i grow up or something? thats sad.

Please just leave
I didnt follow the forum for months, so which players are dominating the "Please sell him" list?

My man!
The only positive thing from this season for me. Our best player right now, by miles. I dont think its a good thing, but its the truth. I have so much respect for him, always gives the 100% no matter how shit we are, no matter the problems in the dressing room and whatever happens with Mou.

Hazard's only problem is motivation. With minimum motivation he's better than Bale and Isco, with normal motivation he's better than James and any other AM who played for Real in the last few seasons except Ronaldo (who plays like a striker this days).
Him leaving this summer would be a disaster end for a disaster of a season. A season that would take us years back.
-
So did he really 'Liked' someone's post saying he'll play for Real Madrid?
-
We just met a pathetic team, like us, this draw is nothing. Mourinho has to go, the team is hopeless.
-
Like I said, Maccabi are without a doubt the worst team Chelsea faced in Europe in years... But it's nice to have a big win.
Maccabi fans were incredible.
-
Maccabi is by far the worst team Chelsea played in the last few years...
-
Less than 2-0 win would be very bad.

Terrible performance tonight, really bad.
I have a special relationship with Pogba. I like him, I like watching the things he can do, every time im not watching him for a while (like this summer) I'm dying to see him in Chelaea, but then I watch him in full 90 minuets 2-3 times and I'm like "wow, he's going to be the biggest flop ever when he makes that switch". It's like the 3rd time this cycle happend. It's like im a victim of all the hype around him.
He has to improve, he's not really concentrating on the pitch, his actions rarely contirbute anything, and he doesn't seem very connected to his team, something about his game screams "Individual". But the problem is that he's a midfielder, you can't play like that when you're a midfielder, when you're a winger who scores lots of goals you can.
Still young though, but I want to see something real from him. I seriously think Oscar can end this season as the better player, it's not far at all.
-
Awful, such a special talent. But he can come back just as strong im sure.. Still very young.
-
And you do? If yes, please do tell us his qualities.
You said I was making assumption about you earlier and here you are, making assumption about our defence. Yes, the defence hasn't been great but it won't/can't stay as hopeless it has been (surely we'll improve because we can't get any worse!).
Yes, we wanted a CB but unfortunately, we didn't get one who's quality. If Djilo is as good as you're making him out to be, then why not many have heard of him before last week? Why was he snubbed by several of the lesser teams? Why did we only purchase him on the final day of the transfer window after failing to get Varane, Stones, Marquinhos etc? Having a top class CB (and Djilo isn't one regardless how you want to spin it) won't solve our defensive problems. The more important issue right now is making sure the all the players get back to form and drilling them into ensure our defensive organization is a solid and tight as a unit.
1) So because we dont know him we should just assume that he cant do better than our own CBs? did you knew Abdennour before he arrived to Monaco? did you knew Benatia before he arrived to Roma?
I didnt knew Djilobodji as well, but the important thing is that the club knew him, they thought he's in the right profile to what Jose wanted from his new CB. Thats why they signed him. Mourinho can give them some kind of credit and put him in the squad before a player that he knows he wont play.
2) lol making assumptions about our defense? those "assumptions" comes from watching every minute of this team, and seeing what the club is trying to do in the transfer window. I dont think they'll continue to defend badly as they did till now, no,
but i think Cahill-Terry cant get us to where we want to be, it was never the case. They are slow, they need protection, and we cant make the next step with them as a CB pair, thats MY opinion based on me watching every game.
Zouma got to be the first name on the team sheet because he's fast and athletic, thats why Djilobodji came, because he's in the right profile for our future defense. This future has to be this season, its Mourinho's 3rd season here and some people want to see improvement, progress. With Zouma we have only one CB who fits the bill. So, those "assumptions" are very different from your assumptions about me, i dont know how and why did you make this connection.
-
That's your view then. Either way, making a fuss of Djilo - who is only a squad player at best - being left out of the CL squad is silly.
Why would you say he's a squad player at best? you dont know him. Right now our central defense is a huge question mark - we have one ageing and super slow CB, we have a slow CB who's IMO very average, and a very young talent.
Jose wanted a CB for a reason, the minimum is the put him in the CL squad instead of one of those wingers. There's no way we'll need both Kenedy and Traore when we have Hazard, Pedro and Willian. There is absolutly no need to make
this decision. Jose gets nothing from it and the team gets nothing from it. Maybe he gets to show the club he's the boss and they should listen to him more, but thats helping no one right now.

Dybala is similar to Morata? Dybala is ten times more technical and quick. no room for comparison in my eyes.
