Very good? this is the stupidest thing ever, we actually made money out of this guy?

In a few days when the club realise Everton would never sell them a player, i wonder who's going to be the next target...
I mean is it possible they'll just go straight to Lacazette? finally? -

Even if we sold him I couldn't get excited like some of you until I know whether he's being replaced or not. Knowing us, we'd sell him and just consider RLC his replacement and not sign another midfielder.
Oscar has no place in the team, he's not a winger or CM, so which kind of midfielder do you want? I dont think Conte will bring another CM since he wants Matic to stay, and i think we have enough wingers...

On the other hand, if Hazard plays LW who plays second striker? That's a position that is arguably more important tactically than LW.
It (worryingly) seems that Conte rates Cuadrado and Pedro. I said somewhere else (Pedro thread iirc) that unless something unexpected happens, we'll probably be looking to sign a winger in the next two windows.
Who plays the second striker? A striker. Two out of Lukaku, Costa and Michy. That's the idea of two strikers, even though i don't like it that much, that's what Conte wants.
Personally I would get Laccazzet instead of Lukaku.

If it were up to me, I'd take Diego and, by what little I've seen of him, even Batshuayi just in front of Hazard in a two man strike force.
So Hazard as 1 of the 2 strikers? then who plays LW?
We need Hazard from the wing, from the attaking midffeld area, we dont have other options but him.

As expected. Seems like we've hit a brick wall on every major transfer target in the past two years other than Kante.
Stones, Pogba, Nainggolan, Morata, now Koulibaly. This might be the most frustrating one because it's our biggest need and he's the most perfect fit for what the club are after.
Still hope the club do whatever it takes to sign him.
But dont you think that Kante came beacuse we couldnt land Nainggolan? unless Conte wanted them to play together in his 4-2-4? interesting, but my guess is that it was Kante or Nainggolan.

He looks a shadow of his pre injury self, theirs a reason he was gettable for a relitevely cheap price.
That's not true, he played to his best for most of the last season.

The obsession with 'top level' on this forum is getting ridiculous, unless it's a world class or borderline/potential world class player linked people lose their shit, sometimes I do genuinely wonder if theirs members of the Real Madrid board room on here.
Conte is a manager known for making a team bigger than the sum of its parts, if he thinks Joao is the right man to partner Kante in the centre that's good enough for me. Pep has signed Nolito and Gundogan, not world class signing by any stretch of the imagination but I bet they will improve City.
What needs to he done this summer first and foremost is to build a solid unit again, i still get nightmares on how easy it was for City to counter us back in April.
Gundogan not a world class by any stretch? holly shit. He's about top 5 in his position when he's fit. And who knows he'll might put the injury days behind him at city.

Sterling, De Bruyne, Silva, Nolito, Nasri...wtf would City need with Mahrez? Likewise Real Madrid who already struggle to fit in the likes of James and Isco.
Honestly, I'm surprised Arsenal are even after him and aren't instead throwing everything at a world class striker. They have Walcott, Ox, and sometimes Ramsey who play on the right. Are they going to sell a couple of those? I can't see it. Not to mention they have that kid Iwobi whose place would be affected by signing another attacking mid.
Man, I hope this doesn't happen. I like seeing Arsenal fans suffer.
Their supporters are by far the worst on the internet whenever they make good signings.
Sterling, Nolito, Nasri, Walcott, Ox - none of those players should start for their teams. Ramsey shouldnt play on the wing, and Silva is getting old.
I think both Arsenal and City could use a winger as good as Mahrez was last season.

Gameiro is off to Atletico.
Still think Costa's leaving?

Conte sounded very sure yesterday about Costa.
‘Diego is our player. He is a fantastic player, a player with a fundamental importance and there is no problem. He stays with us, he is working very hard, he is very happy to work with his teammates and with me in the new idea of football. He is a Chelsea player.
‘He is an important player, a very strong player, one of the best in the world, and I am sure when he goes into our ideas he will score a lot of goals for us.’

The thing is that United's central midfield wouldnt be too great even with Pogba.
Playing Pogba next to Schneiderlin in 4-2-3-1 will not be good enough, Schneiderlin isnt a top player for me. And off course Carrick and Schweinsteiger arent good enough anymore.
The only midfield with some potential will be Pogba-Schneiderlin-Herera with Martial-Zlatan-Mkhitaryan, in a 4-3-3. Will Mou play this way? i dont know.
But, getting Pogba is a huge accomplishment for their club, really sends out a massage.

Pogba isn't worth 100M either, this is the market now.
If we really are in for Lukaku he is coming because Costa is off, dead simple.
But when we offered this money for Morata everyone agreed that Conte wants to play him next to Costa... i dont think Costa is leaving.
Conte wants 4-2-4, letting Lukaku and Michy be the only strikers (with Traore) will be terrible .

I am not sure about how reliable this Alfredo Pedulla guy is (from what I was able to find about him, he is quite reliable), but he claims that we are after Candreva and Parolo, for whom we are ready to offer between 40 and 45m of euros.
Both players seem very average to me.

No one is interested about this kid? seems quite a talent. Would prefer him over Morata.

Its almost impossible to deal with Napoli and ADS.. i tried not to be too optimistic with Koulibaly. Manolas a very good fallback option, but will Roma sell?

How about Kante, Matic and Cesc in a midfield three?
Matic
Cesc-Kante
With our current squad i think 4-3-3 is the best (and maybe only) option. With the three you mentioned in midfield and Willian, Hazard and Costa up top.
To play 4-2-4 we'll need another CM who can play regularly next to Kante (Cesc and Matic can't - Cesc is a bad defender and Matic a bad attacker), and another ST so we'll have at least 3 good STs.
For 3-5-2 i think we'll need two more CBs. Terry and Cahill are not good enough imo.
Im good with that 4-3-3 tbh, but besides a CB and FB, another good CM would be great.

Well that puts to rest all those attacks that our board are penny pinching people.
Di Marzio and other sources talked about it when it happend last summer. I thought everybody knew that..
Anyway, the attack on our board could still be relevant since the board woke up so late, with those August 20-30 bids for Pogba, Manolas and Marquinhos. But to say that Roman doesnt want to spend a lot of money anymore and shit like that (shit that i read on twitter) is proven to be false.
-
I think he'll fit well here, seems like a Wiliian-esque kind of signing. We got to get two new CMs, and he's a good alternative for Nainggolan
as B2B i think, with his energy and ball skills. And he's also very young.
Cesc-Kante-Mario could work well, or even without Cesc if we're going with 4-4-2. -
