  1. Who said Witsel was available? There are much much better MF players out there than Witsel. He's gonna cost an arm and a leg because he plays for Zenit, who pay him very very well on a long term contract and bought him for a whole lot of money. The fact he's not exactly developed much since going there either it makes no sense to try and buy him from Zenit. He moved to Russia for a huge salary so do you think he's gonna come here on a lower salary, to play a bit part role? I really don't.

The reports of Di Marzio (and others) say an offer of 30-35 million euros will make Witsel available. I dont know if he'll want to come to Chelsea for a squad role, i can only guess he'll take the opportunity to get the hell out of Russia and play for a big club in the Premier League. But i agree its an issue with any CM we might look at because in most games we play with Cesc-Matic and 3 AMs.

You didnt named any CM though.

  2. Update:

    (Google translate)

Mourinho and his aides say Vestel (Witsel) player very normal in their eyes and will not benefit the team

    # Chelsea

    (Original)

مورينهو ومساعديه يقولون فيستيل لاعب عادي جداً في نظرهم ولن يفيد الفريق
    #تشلسي
    اوباه

    Who is this guy?

  3. Strange... You keep coming back to this thread saying it won't happen. Why keep coming back then? Are you trying to convince yourself it won't?

I've always said Chelsea would be dumb not to be in for him and it's looking more likely that we are. We'll see where this goes.

The reason i posted was to say that imo Oscar will move to Juve in any deal for Pogba. I also dont think it will happen, so i wrote that, but it was a marginal part in the post.

I know i sound like a party pooper and its not my usual thing, but i just dont think its possible. Wish im wrong tbh.

  4. The point is that we didn't even try bro. Who knows what could've happened if Mou made a cheeky bid.

And how do you know if we, or any other club who looks for AMs (most top clubs), didnt made a move for Isco and Reus? obviously clubs were trying to get them and maybe Chelsea as well.

Reus agency said Reus is staying while they admitted he had offers. Isco was wanted by Juventus and Real said he's not moving.

Griezmann is a different story, he had a 60m Euros (and now its 80m), and he's not really a Winger. And he might want to stay as well.

We had other options, but not "World Class" options like Reus and Isco imo.

  5. The guy who was only slightly behind Matic in terms of winning the ball from midfield last season? What we need considering the amount of space Cesc leaves behind him and how poor Ramires and Mikel are.

Yeah but its pretty much it with him, winning the ball. 35m Euros for a player with his abilities is a joke imo.

  6. Well im not thrilled about Pedro, but i cant reject the idea he'll improve our RW spot and make us more dangerous. And most of all, create some kind of depth in our midfield.

Would be happy if we also throw 30m euros to Zenit until September and get Witsel. From zero good alternatives in midfield we could have like 2 or 3 different approaches.

Barcelona winger Pedro (28) travelled this morning to London to close the deal on his transfer to English club Chelsea. [rac1]

  7. I was following that Sergi Dominguez for some time, and also some other spanish journalists who know him, and on a couple of occasions they said 'Sergi has sources at Chelsea'.

I only remember that he said we have nothing with Arda Turan.

  8. Signing him would be extremely underwhelming imo. You should look further than this season, buying him for 22m pounds would probably mean not buying an AM next summer, while Pedro is 28 and after years of unconvincing displays.

A player who seems like he's past it.

For me our next buy in AM should be someone who can be a world class attacking player.

  9. Thanks in part to the work of agent Lucci, Chelsea is open to loaning Cuadrado with an option to buy. Juve is interested (Di Marzio)

Mourinho could still move for another attacking player if CFC can sell either Cuadrado or Moses (Telegraph)

  10. After the game i opened twitter and saw 'Otemandi to City - Done Deal'. It felt like the 4th goal in our net.

It will be extremely disappointing if until the end of the window City will get Otamendi+KDB while we just get Baba, and Stones wouldnt make it much better. That will be a serious show of intent from City, and the lack of it in Chelsea.

Especially when we're talking about City, a club who is under the threat of FFP, like us. So it leaves no excuses.

  11. Shocking line-ups.

Don't know what to expect. Can only hope for the best.

I hope Hazard wakes up from his siesta.

Shocking? we dont have anyone to replace Ivanovic and Oscar is injured, so whats so shockingly wrong in our line up?

  12. Also, yes, he is very likeable.

You definitely seem to think he is...

Reus is a great player, one of the best wingers in the world, but yes because the way he moves with the ball isnt "unstoppable", he falls behind Hazard. Its a lot easier to get him out of the game and he cant be consistent like Hazard.

But Hazard is a special talent, no shame in not being as good as he is. "Messi, Hazard, and Robben are literally the only 3 players in the world who have that close control dribble ability" - thats why they are the best.

I didnt say there are 15 better wingers than Reus, read carefully, i was talking about players with better close control and dribble. I have at least 10 in my head.

  13. Ridiculous. Just ridiculous. Reus doesnt have half of the ball control abilities Hazard have.. its not even close.

I cant believe a football fan can look at those two players and say Reus is anything near Hazard in terms of close control, dribble.

Reus isnt even top 15 in the world in those attributes. He is extremely light and the ball doesnt "stick" to his foot like with Messi, Hazard, Robben and others.

I saw todays game, it was embarrassing, a walk in the park for Dortmund. Reus didnt stand out and didnt need to. But it doesnt take much for people to overrate him because he's somehow very likeable.
