I like Meireles, but i dont know where he will play. We have Lampard, Remires and maybe Essien later this season, no need for him. Unless he can play as a DM. If he can, go for it! (but not instead of Modric!)

But its kind a weird that you looked only at those 2 parts and refer them as "what The Telegraph are saying". Like we both said, its clear that they dont know what exactly is going on.

I realy dont know how did you get this from that Telegraph article: "Chelsea’s interest in Meireles does not, yet, mean that they have given up all hope of signing Luka Modric from Tottenham Hotspur and they are weighing up making an improved offer of £40 million." On the other hand, they said couple of more things like: "Chelsea manager would welcome him(Meireles) at his club especially if he failed to land Modric" This article from The Telegraph is realy all over the place... sounds like some real bulshit. They basicly didnt say much about Modric, appart from that: "Chelsea and their negotiators have tried to persuade club owner Roman Abramovich to give up on pursuing Modric". Its kind a new, but again, sounds like bulshit as well.

Moutinho- you dont need him if we're signing Modric. If not, so i agree. Albrighton- cant get the hype over him.. but alright. Marin, Martin, Ninis- i dont know them very well. They are all youngsters, i dont think thats what we need, we have Sturrigde and we want him to be a reguler starter as an RW, we have Josh and we want him to play more, i dont think more youngsters are needed as squad players right now. Again, i dont know them much, but i dont think they are such a "must buy" instead of Perrira.

Thats it. If no one will come in the next few days, so its a realy stupid move, but if Modric comes? its pretty clear it should have happend. It will be great to have Yossi even if Modric is coming, but he doesnt think its that great obviously. You cant make a 31 year old seat on the bench desperate, you need young players to be your 2nd or 3rd sub for his role. Yossi probably want playing time at his age.

For who? for Yossi? absolutely not, if a new midfielder will come like we want, Yossi wont get his minutes. good decision for him. For Chelsea? not sure, we do have Mata, so if we are going to get Modric or someone like him unti deadline, we are going to be okay in the midfield department. And maybe we're going to get two players now... we dont know yet. I want Yossi in Chelsea off course, but im happy for him for this move, and i think he should join Roma or Arsenal, not Liverpool with all of their midfielders...

Yossi is a great player and a great person, shame he didnt show alot in Chelsea because of is injury last season. Good luck to him! I think Modric is close now...

Modric needs to play togheter with Lampard. Replacing Modric with Lampard would do very little.
