Well, today was our biggest game of the season so far. Even though, there weren't any sense of urgency to go forward or urgency in the passing game. It was a lifeless performance. No players, bar very few exceptions, looked interested about the outcome of the game. They were playing like me when playing in the park with my friends, in a sunny afternoon after a fat McDonald's. Even without a manager, this is the kind of encounter for whom you motivate yourself. Furthermore, we got rid of the "Problem", but nothing has changed. Actually, sacking André Villas-Boas did achieve fuck all, as there is the same motivation within the squad, and the players are still shit. I am feeling like players were just trolling.

The "problem" called Villas-Boas is gone, so why are you still shit ?

We will be lucky if we draw this game.

Oh my God ! There is the lost tribe of Shabazz !

Bonsingwa Vs. Bale... Lampard+Essien Vs Modric+VDV. Doesn't sound good to me, our midfield has little creativity and little defensive ability. But come on.

First off, I didn't say we needed a World-Class RB. On the one hand because they are very few (just Alvès and Lahm), and on the second hand because we do not need only World-Class players to have a great squad. I was only mentioning Alvès for the attributes he has. We can either promote someone from our Academy or buy a young talented RB (or even buy an average one !), as long as he fits the description. It is always good to have two kinds of players for each position, like this we are able to elaborate many strategies. Secondly, you point out that many RB nowadays are weak defensively, but sometime having a solid defensive basis is useless ! This is why I want us to have a Dani Alvès type of RB. For instance, when you play a team of the like of Wigan (a piss poor team, nonetheless you encounter a lot of those teams over the course of the season, and this is against those teams you win a lots of points) which park the bus even when playing at home, you neither need a DM nor defensive fullbacks. In those situations you need a lot of players in the opposite half of pitch, to try and outnumber them... As a fact of a matter, there will be a lot of players in one half of pitch, hence you need very good technical players to play in the tight spaces. Ivanovic isn't up to this job, to me eyes (actually, all of our players aren't, excepted Mata). Ivanovic is useless against those teams, because he won't have to defend. Know what I mean Franco ?
-
Well, in my opinion, we have to look for another Right Back next season, and the two facts you have mentioned (the eventual injuries and the possibility to move him as a CB) aren't the main reason for whom I want us to do that. Indeed, Ivanovic is good when playing in that position, but he isn't a Right Back. He sure has good attriibutes, like his good defensive abilities, but in some area he is unsatisfactory : he struggles against pacy wingers (it is always the case against Nani) ; he lacks pace ; he isn't technical enough (yes he is a decent crosser, but when it comes to dribble he isn't good enough). So basically, he is a very good option when we have to strengthen the right wing, and have to have a strong back four. Though, when we are against weak sides and when we have to push forward a lot, I do think he is the best option we could have. Therefore I would like us to have a RB in the mould of Dani Alvès, i.e. a RB who has a great speed and pace, and has a good technic (for crosses and dribbles) so we can rotate the two of them depending on our needs on the field, and our strategies.

Neither Sturridge is.

The later you revise the better you learn, and you'll be ready in your job to face tight situation

Roh, c'mon Franco ! I mean you are... really devoted P.s. Drop the tomorrow school.

You're crazy.

It seems nobody is being granted the same amount of patience.

Messi scores his third..
-
He is now the BEST goalscorer.
-
He is now the best goal scorer of Barça, on par with César Rodriguez. Well done Leo.
-
When Messi doesn't score, he assists.

This is very egoistical from those cavemen. It would have been a godd move to play the game this day. They are really...
-
The Drogba-Torres "combo" didn't win us the game. They was no alchemy between the two of them. Actually this "combo" had a little contribution to the win.
-
We aren't in a position where we can afford to make gambles. If we are truly aiming to end up in the top four, then we should stick to the safest choices. Untill now, the Drogba-Torres partnership is yet to be proved as a good one. Hence we shouldn't start him. Excuse me ? Torres outplayed Danni Sturridge in the Napoli game ? This isn't true. Torres has been praised for the same amount of work rate that Sturridge had done, though he has only got labeled as a greedy player. Furthermore Torres didn't managed to put the ball in an empty goal. Is it because he showed he was a team player that he has to start the next game ? No, not at all. If that was the case, Kalou, Bosingwa and Ferreira would also deserve to start games. And the fact he had a good game today shouldn't guarentee him to start the next game. Why ? Because what did he do in the games before ? He did fuck all except to have spend a whole day without scoring. No players should enter the first team right away just because they had a good game against a side coming from the Championship obscurity. He has to prove he is worth to come back in the starting eleven. He is yet to prove that. To prove he is worth it, he has to play good in few games in a row, and preferably against better sides than Leicester.
-
So you would rather play the biggest flop in Football History to keep his confidence going, than keep our chance of winning an important game ? Last time I checked it was Chelsea FC, not Torres FC.
-
For me it is a non-starter. Yes the spaniard has been good today, but we should remember he has just come out of a drought of 24 goalless games. One good game against a mid-table side of the Championship shouldn't guarantee him to be in our starting lineup. He has a lot of thing to prove, while Didier has been consistent untill now, even if he hasn't been in his best form, he has been rather good, and he has been very good when it did matter (cf : against Valencia, City and Napoli).
