Am i the only one that thinks this fixture congestion is manageable?? We should NEVER have to abandon any competitions because of a fixture pile up, we're all guilty of saying for years that we have the quality in our youth side, well now's the big chance to give these kids a chance to make a name for themselves... with the right mix of youth and experience who knows whats possible?? we all seem to forget where we've come from pre-Roman all too often... 10-15 years ago we'd have given an arm to be in a position like we are now.

There's been a few.. Paul Furlong, Slavisa Jokanovic, Ross Turnbull, Frode Grodas, Graham Wilkins spring to mind

For me the only thing i can see is that Azpi is only going to get better, it was always going to take him a period of time to adjust from playing French League football to adapting to the speed and more physical aspects of the English game. He's doing a good job, we're all far to quick to criticize and unwilling to dish out praise when its warranted. He's still bedding in, judge him at the end of next season, regardless of our love of seeing Brana at RB or Wallace coming in.

we've missed Eidur since he left for Barcelona in my opinion, and i would be extremely pleased if we re-signed him, frustrating as he was/is at times he's a quality player and he could still do a job for us

Cech against Berbatov for me, as a goalkeeper i know how difficult it is to react so quickly to the shot let alone get something on it, and getting enough on it to re-direct it is a different story altogether

a nice game of chinese whispers i imagine

they pissed all over this proverbial bonfire last night didn't they

We've turned to the Roma coach, is he named Spalletti or something, according to the press at the moment, i'm just waiting for a statement denying it now

just seen on sky sports news, queue the mass rumours of Chelsea players joining Inter I've put this in here because i think it's relevant to the Chelsea news...

Mozart finally has a rival !
-
haha, brilliant
-
I bet you feel better for it though
-
Well Sven has officially left Man City now... god no !
-
I don't know who or what to expect at the moment However, as fans, i think we deserve to know whats going on at the moment, an official list of candidates or anything would suffice, getting information from the Chelsea website is like drawing blood from a stone at times

who would be the perfect replacement of drogba ?

I want a Van Nistelrooy type really, someone who isn't technically the greatest footballer in the world but knows where the back of the net is -
i bet you could give old Avram a run for his money
-
Deschamps is a massive name in world football, he'd have a certain attraction and pulling power in bringing players to the club... is he tactically astute? Who knows?
-
Give Miroslav Stoch chance to play first-team football on a regular basis, a loan move to a Championship side, or a Premiership side where he's guaranteed to get games would be more beneficial than training with the Chelsea first team and making the bench for cup games.
-
Mark Hughes for me would do the trick. He's a Chelsea fan to start with, played with passion and pride for us during his playing career, which face it he was coming to the end of when he signed for us, and he has the credentials to make the step up to managing a big team. My only question would be, could Sparky manage the ego's of the big name players like Ballack and Shevchenko? Also as i've said before i think Sparky would bring David Bentley to the Bridge with him and that in itself would be a nice bonus. And as for Jose coming back, come on guys get over it
-
Man City would be mad to replace Sven with Avram
-
Sparky would be the one i'd want off the list, he's an ex-Chelsea favourite which will obviously go down well with the majority of the fans, he knows the Premier League and he knows Chelsea... i think he has the credentials to do the job

so that's who the telephone bidder that outbid me was ! -
This game takes on a massive amount of importance in the history of the club and in building the future of the club to the next level. I think when you look at it from a one game perspective, the rewards on the night, without looking at the long-term repercussion's this game could have, (for example when we beat Liverpool on the last day of the season in 2003, we didn't know at the time we'd sealed the interest of a certain Mr Abramovich) then it's certainly up there as one of our biggest games ever. But is this the biggest game in the clubs history? I'll save my answer for Thursday afternoon

I don't think Scott Sinclair is anywhere near being good enough quality to play for Chelsea on a regular basis anytime in the near future, so i think we do have to bring somebody new in... i personally think Downing would be a good acquisition because i had a bad opinion of him before seeing him play on numerous occassions this season and my opinion has changed

Both side's have former Chelsea lads in their line-ups and for me as much as i'd like to see Cardiff lift the cup for Jimmy, i'd rather see an English Cup competition won by an English side rather than a Welsh side so fingers crossed for Pompey tomorrow
