  1. Mindless offence? You're better off just leaving this conversation 'cos you clearly don't know what you're talking about. Your Eva 'question' is literally too stupid to humour with a proper response. If you genuinely need an answer to that, then.... wow.
  2. Probably one of the dumbest posts i've ever read on this forum. Wow.
  3. Thats the ideal, of course. But I think realistically its going to take small steps to ultimately reach the point where, maybe one day we have a real 'top class' current Premier League and international player out as gay. Whether that takes six months, six years or six decades is anyones guess. The ideal for the moment is obviously that all these non-outed players that are obviously out there currently feel happy in their lives and allowed to feel comfortable and safe within their own dressing room and their own club. As I've said before on this forum, I found it hard enough to come out to my small circle of friends, I couldn't imagine the stress that comes with doing it to a country and to a world-wide sport. And when you've got Danny Dyer fending off homophobes on twitter for a gay coming out storyline on EastEnders, it shows you just how far this country is from everyone treating everyone equally. Your second point, I see what you're saying. But they shouldn't be 'signing up' for 60,000 fans each Saturday to give out 'banter'. All of it is unacceptable, all of it. As fans, we pay our £40 on a Saturday to see these players do what they do better than anyone else in the world, NOT to shout 'banter' in order for a cheap laugh. You wouldn't think about doing it down the street, so why do it in a packed football stadium?
  4. I'd like to think a lot of his teammates knew and supported him through it and kept it secret from the media. Now that would be progression.
  5. I really don't see this happening, but he would be a very useful addition to have. More than just a stop-gap for me.
  6. For those who do here in England, Gary Lineker will be interviewing him for Football Focus, this coming Saturday lunchtime. I'll post an exact time nearer the show if I remember.
  7. I get what you're saying but if I was part of a sport where, for ten years, a heterosexual man had the words 'we wont give a fuck when you're hanging from a tree, you judas cunt with HIV' sung to him on a weekly basis based on rumour, I wouldnt come out either. For those who don't remember this, I'm referring to Sol Campbell.97/98% of British fans wouldn't have a problem with a gay footballer in this country. Its the odd idiot that makes it terrifying. Look at the coverage Tom Daley has had. Not to belittle him or his sport, but an olympic diver is no where near the same 'league' as a Premier League and international footballer. It does need to happen, and I pray it does soon. But I wouldn't hold my breath. But most importantly today, congratulations Thomas. You're a brave man and I'm proud of you.
  8. Think it shows just how poor the dutch league is more than anything in all honesty.
  9. Willian has been immense. If we keep attacking them, we'll win this. Not really a bad performance out there so far. Come on Chels.
  10. I apologise on his behalf for him being an absolute fucking idiot.
  11. Lunch at the shard for me and the boyfriend. Ridiculously good views of London and great food.
  12. Please be in the mood again today, Fernando. Come on Chels.
  13. To be fair, two of his three league games there were once we had already won the title. Three points is really important here with Arsenal playing Liverpool later in the day.
  14. Still unconfirmed, but a lot of rumours now that we're about to confirm he has torn his ACL. Awful news. Get well soon, Marco.
  15. Re: the discussion on the preview page. He's never been 'unplayable' for us. Ever. He's had brief glimpses of quality. Out of all the people I spoke to up at Everton yesterday, none wanted him to stay, let alone play. Sorry for the fangirls, but he's simply awful. Get out of our club.
  16. Doesn't work like that. Reporters can't 'go after' certain players and question them. I can 100% guarantee you'll hear nothing from Rooney today.
  17. Top five as normal. Spurs vs Arsenal depending on the Suarez/Bale situations. Relegation to be a scrap between Hull, Palace, Cardiff, Sunderland and WBA. Norwich and Villa have spent well for me, Sunderland and WBA (though Lugano is a decent buy) haven't. 'Surprise' team could be Swansea to push the likes of Liverpool and Everton.
  18. Yes. Cos I can categorically tell you it ent.
  19. http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3332267/title/chelsea-fly-to-america
  20. Looks like Marks taken the number 23 shirt.
  21. Its in reference to Moyes basically stating that Rooney would be playing second fiddle to van Persie this season.
