It would, for our morale. But the reality is that Pochettino would get bullied if he gets appointed before Arsenal and loses that game, plus the next one or two. It exposes him too much.

Oh, boy... I can imagine Jorginho scoring against us. “Wake me up when this season ends“.
-
Yeah, cant find anything about that. If true, Im gonna have to start looking for a fucking gun to shoot myself.

"We go again" Instagram posts being prepared as we speak!

It seems that the only managerual position that Frank will be able to get in the future is as an office manager.
-
God forbid.
-
I guess we know why he's refused to join us. On the other hand, I don't think a 35 y.o. manager that is still to prove that he's top class has the right to ask for such things, especially since there're so many new football people in our structure now. You have to be Guardiola-level to afford asking for full control at a club like Chelsea.
-
Surgery for Mase. Frank says that he might be back for the last game of the season. Farewell maybe? If not, he might have already played his last game for the club 😢

I think announcing Pochettino as quickly as possible is the best thing that the board can do, if they want to increase our chances to start winning games. Delaying the annoucement of a new manager just keeps the atmosphere instable and the players unmotivated. As soon as it's official, Poch should get in touch with Lamps and start exposing his plans, for Frank to only rely on those who will be here 4 months from now. The later this happens, the more difficult Poch's mission will get.

"Chelsea’s recruitment team yet to reach a consensus over Pochettino appointment." Everybody is acting like Poch to Chelsea is a done deal, but this part from The Times' report worries me a bit. What are they disagreeing on? Who even gets to make the call? It seems that there are too many opinions around the team and there's not a number 1 that calls the shots.
-
Let’s pray Levy doesn’t bring the Poch card out of his sleeve just to win the contest.
-
People have gone very quite on him lately. What happened to "what a fantastic signing by Arteta and Arsenal!"? Only 105 minutes in 8 Premier League games, since the 1st of March.
-
Spurs might start thinking about getting Poch back at this point. I just hope we get this sealed asap.
-
That's true. "Brighton's Graham Potter, former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino and ex-Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane are top of Chelsea's shortlist to replace Tuchel, sources told ESPN". I remember being on my knees, praying for the naming of Potter. How the tables have turned...
-
Considering that all of the options had something underwhelming about them, Pochettino wouldn't be that big of a disaster. However, if we go for Kompany or Arne Slot who, in my opinion, is the "mystery man", it's not good news at all. Edit: ok, so it's Postecoglou. Same thing.
-
It will be Rodgers or the guy from Feyenoord.
-
So it’a between Poch and Kompany to become the manager or Chelsea FC. Imagine someone telling you that in 2016 or 2017.
-
Too early for Kompany, as much as I admire him. It’s between Poch and Nagelsmann for me.
-
I agree. Especially since the "big boss" is a guy who has 0 knowledge about football and its spirit. I understand if someone like Rui Costa, Edu, or Kahn decides to go visit the locker room once in a while, as they understand footballer's culture. But not Boehly. I have the feeling that he is trying to win a popularity contest. Forcing too much engagement with the fans, the players, the managers. This is not how it works in Europe.
-
Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly sacked Thomas Tuchel soon after he was told to stop going into the team's dressing room. Boehly has been a regular in the changing rooms with the players in recent weeks, especially after poor performances. Per talkSPORT, Boehly was told earlier this season by Tuchel that he could not be a part of that area when the manager was talking to the players. Boehly was not said to be happy with that request, as the source states that Tuchel was sacked one game after that denial. The club is a mess. I don't think there's a manager that could've made things work considering the circumstances. Potter was trying to bring some sort of calm in a completely chaotic situation. Just look at the big picture. Tons of players in the locker room, plenty ot them are unhappy, the owners seem clueless. There's only so much a manager can do. There're only a few things that I would blame Potter for, like some of his team selections. But considering how things are looking now, it seems that he was the least of our problems. And the "standing up to the owners" thing is non-sense. It's just something to tickle our egos, but it doesn't really solve anything. Look at Conte, standing up to the owners of every single club that he manages and then getting the sack right away. A good manager is a manager that is agile, not trivial.

I wouldn't mind Poch, to be honest. Used to hate the idea and I remember being terrified that it could happen, just after Tuchel was sacked. But he is passionate, can work with youth and what happened to Spurs after he left shows that he was basically underrated. I am not sure if he can win stuff with us, but at this point I have no hope of winning trophies for the next two years at least. Top 4 would be great and maybe some sort of good run in the domestic cups. We need someone to build. Maybe Poch can lay a foundation for someone else that could take over an already solidified team that will just need to be taken to the next level.
-
I'm starting to have doubts regarding the future of those in bold.
-
I hope they will be a few points behind city before that game. I don’t trust this lot to stop them.
