Well, something has been happening for the last year. That's what a forced and accelerated change of ownership can do to a club. New board, new policies, it's normal for things to change. As per the players leaving, most of them have been long overdue. Most of those named were here in 2017-2018, if I remember correctly. How many of the 2017-2018 players do Manchester City still have in their squad? Or Arsenal? Or Liverpool? That's the key in today's football. You have to keep moving, you need to adapt, especially since so many of the players have been injury prone or serial underperformers. We've been papering the cracks for too long. We needed a massive rebuild. The only ones that I 100% regret losing from sporting reasons are Mount, Rudiger and Christensen. All of the others who are leaving or who have already left had to be replaced even earlier than they will be. However, it's still essential to see what we do to replace them. That's the important part. If we move correctly, a new era will begin and it's gonna be wonderful.

Yes, I know, but I was talking about Chalobah.
-
^That's because we want to sell him. He is not pushing to leave.
-
Have you ever wondered why Reece James, Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Chalobah, even Gallagher never wanted to leave the club during the same period? Or why Fofana or Enzo seem to love it at Chelsea?
-
We must go for at least one more attacking player. We only have one RW in Madueke, with Sterling being able to play there as well. I think we're gonna get Viega too. But still, we're clearly short in that department. It's very interesting to see who we turn our attention to.
-
We're moving impecable with the departures so far, I'm absolutely impressed with the board. And it all started with Jorginho, who was sold for 12m to Arsenal with only 6 months left to his contract. Imagine we manage to get something on Aubameyang, RLC and CHO too, with Mount, Kovacic and Havertz leaving for great fees... Not to mention the wages that we got off the books. The only one that is still a big issue is Lukaku. Nevertheless, it's fantastic business. If football was played in the offices, we'd be fucking world beaters at this point lol.
-
Yep, Fab confirms it. Great for us! Still, doesn's say anything about installments, so it could still be 3 of them.
-
Arsenal will pay Chelsea £50m in three instalments for Kai Havertz, plus £15m in add-ons, in a total package worth £65m. [@DarrenArsenal1] #afc Not sure how reliable this guy is, but it doesn't sound to be that good for us.
-
It surely hurts, from a certain perspective, but at the same time it's clear that it wasn't meant for him to succeed at Chelsea. 19 goals in 3 PL seasons is dreadful for any attacking player in a team like Chelsea. Even for a Wolves player it would be a disastrous figure. I would also add that he strikes me as a very cold kind of guy. I could never feel a connection between him and us, as fans. Maybe he was not compatible with the club. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Mount, whom I will 100% regret more. But it is what it is, this is what football is like nowadays, there's no such thing as one-club men anymore.
-
I doubt there's any other club that could convince him to join them, even if basically every PL club could offer at least 25m to us.
-
They've been doing that for years. Remember the fees and wages that Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette and many others were on. They spent a combined 80m or something on Ramsdale and White, another 70 on Jesus and Zinchenko. The difference between us and them is that their moves were never marketed by the media as bombastic ones.
-
Yeah, I feel bad about Edou. He was pivotal in that UCL run. And he‘s been also very likeable guy, I wish his good run lasted longer. He was never the same after AFCON and it feels like it all culminated with that shocker at Leeds. I will always love and respect him for 2021, though.
-
To be honest, there are a few reasons to be concerned. I mean, imagine if they start doing this with Newcastle and pay 50m for someone like Jonjo Shelvey just to make their books look great. Objectively speaking, if there's something sticky going on behind the scenes, it is worrying. However, just like with the previous loophole, it's funny how we are the first ones doing it. UEFA will probably change some rules because of it, but our deals will already be done and dusted.

Here + all of Arsenal Twitter.

Look at us staying all neutral with Wyss at the wheel!
-
I wouldn't be surprised if players like Koulibaly, Mendy or Ziyech will be back in Europe one year from now. For now, we know that Koulibaly is going to get us about 22-23m (pounds). I wonder how much they will pay for the others, considering their contract situation. I do not expect us to get more than 10m for Mendy and 7-8m for Ziyech. I hope we get another 3m for Auba, so that would be a total of 45m for all of them, more or less. It's not much, but I suppose the real W is cleaning the wage bill.
-
I suppose Lukaku declined because there is no way it would be ok for Meg to twerk in Saudi Arabia.
-
Rival fans tears once again. That's a W for Boehly in my book.
-
I like Onana. People judge him harshly because he plays for Everton, but everytime I watched him he was bossing the midfield.
-
Wake me up when September starts.
-
Imagine us getting Rice and Caicedo after off-loading the donKai to Arsenal
-
Lack of balls and love for the club could be a close second. I really don't feel any kind of connection to most of the guys who are rumoured to be looking for the exit door now. I am happy that Reece, Chiwell, Silva, Enzo and even Sterling will be here next season. I believe that they have the ego and passion to make things work for Poch.
-
My theory is that they plan to move Phillips and Gundogan on. That leaves them with Stones, Rodri, Kovacic and Rice. I doubt that Guardiola sees a definite starter in Kovacic, while Stones will be moved back to the defensive line, with Laporte departing. Still, having Rodri and Rice at the same time seems unfeasible. I surely hope City get Rice, though. He would be way less impactful there than at Arsenal.
-
Arsenal bid for Rice. City might go in for him too. Nothing from us so far. If City get Rice, Arsenal will probabil sign Caicedo.

Rule number one of this window: do not regret anyone who’s leaving. Ever. Remeber how these guys have been letting us down for so long. It is their responsibility that we’ve finished 12th in the league. Reece, Chilwell, Silva, Fofana, Badiashile and Enzo are staying, which is fine. Believe in Poch and fuck all the others.
