  1. The man cannot be criticized under any circumstances. He did everything for this club, he was an inch away from losing his life while wearing a Chelsea jersey, so no one can judge him. No matter for how long he stays at the Gunners, he will always be remembered as a Chelsea man. Big Pete is a Chelsea legend and he deserves respect. Well done, Pete! P.S.: I am still not sure that giving up on him and making Courtois our #1 was the best choice. I mean, it's not that impossible to find a decent goalkeeper. We would've found someone else if Courtois wanted to go. And Pete was not only a great keeper, but also a club legend and a leader. But that's what it is, it's too late to regret it.
  2. Raul Meireles 14 mins · I woke up today and felt like sharing those thoughts with you! I had so many bright moments in my football careers, so many trophies, many things to be proud of and so many unforgettable things to tell to my grandchildren in the future. But this one especially is very different for me. In 2012 we won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea Football Club for the first time ever. We were far away from any nominations, everyone said that we are not gonna make it; they even made some jokes about us before the semi-final the final game. In general, no one literally expected what happened or supported us but our loyal fans in that time. But we proved to everyone that we are the best in the world back then. It all started with a dream and a true believing in our skills as a team. For anyone, any game is just 90min length, but for us (players, coaches, staff) any game is about endless hours of training, several years of determination and dreaming to make it to this level and millions of supporters who count on you to make them happy and proud of their beloved team. I opted to share those thoughts in the beginning of the year to tell you that you have to keep on fighting for your dreams, even if everybody around you doesn't believe you can make it. Never give up, fight for your dream, be always surrounded by positive people who push you forward, ignore all the haters and negativity thoughts. Happy new year and I wish you all the best.
  3. Yesss! Finally! As I said before the game, we cannot afford to "settle for a draw" against anyone anymore. We have to win. I hope that this is just the beggining. Mind you, though, I think that we were pretty sloppy before the first goal. Sometimes, our players look old and disconnected. I don't know why we lack speed so much, considering the fact that Oscar, Pedro, Hazard, Costa and Willian are all capable of making good runs. Anyway, I am very happy for John Obi Mikel. I always liked the guy and I consider him very important for us. He was here when we lost that final, he was here when we won the last 3 leagues, I think, he was here when we won that other final. He and JT are the only ones connecting us to those performances. The guy deserves more respect than he's given. We must win the next three games, the one in the cup and the others in the league. It's time to get a good run and bounce back to the decent side of the table. Come on, Chelsea!
  4. I can see Ibra joining Arsenal. And I would totally understand him if he prefers joining them.
  5. We HAVE to win this game. It's a must. We can't "settle for a draw" against no one. We're 3 points above relegation zone, for Christ's sake. Go all out attack, we MUST win. We won't bounce back by only beating the teams that are bellow us in the table, because... there aren't too many of them We have to win against the bigger fishes. Just like we should've beaten Watford and should've tried more against United. Don't get used to being shit. We are still champions. We do not settle for draws against no team in this league.
  6. Remember how badly Mourinho wanted to sign this guy? Would've been another glorious flop.
  7. I was one of those who agreed that it's better for everyone if he leaves, but looking back now, I have to say that I was wrong. And it's a little unfair, when you think about it. Chelsea chose Courtois over Cech because "he's the future". Yet, Lukaku didn't stand a chance even if it was quite obvious that he was "the future" more than Costa. But that was then, it seemed like a decent choice and I guess it's too late now to fix this. I wish him best of luck anyways.
  8. You know that's not going to happen. It should've happened back in 2009, or 2011, or 2013. But it didn't. I respect Roman for everything that he did for this club, but his vision regarding football is still flawed. He will always seize the short term success and people around him know that. Feed him with trophies and he'll be happy. And we're probably gonna bounce back rather sooner than later. We will win another trophy and we'll keep fooling ourselves that everything's gonna be fine. But at a certain point, Roman will get bored. And if he gets bored and decides to give up on his favourite toy, we will not have a future as a club. We lack an ideology, we lack competent people on board. That's the sad truth and I can't see things changing for the better.
  9. I cannot believe the number of people here calling JT "shit" and things like that. He's not playing as good as he used to, but show some respect, for Christ's sake. It's our captain, our legend you're talking about. How dare you call him "shit"?
  10. “Clichés are clichés for a reason, man! Because they f*cking work!” –Samurai Apocalypse (Californication)
  11. I think people should get used to the thought that Ivanovic will start for the rest of the season unless he picks an injury or suspension.
  12. OK, so they didn't lose. Which makes this season look even more pathetic. I just don't understand how something like this is possible. The quality of City's players, looking at them individualy, is unbelievable, they should be pissing all over the league, but they are absolutely incapable of showing any consistency. as a team. When you have Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, David Silva, Sterling, Aguero... Maybe Pellegrini really is an impotent manager. And maybe this really is Arsenal's season. Let alone this, if I were to choose a Leicester player that Chelsea should sign, that would definitely be Kante. Beautiful player.
  13. They won't finish top 4, even if I'd like them to. They will lose against City tonight. Two consecutive defeats and that's it. Adios. And I pray to God that we won't be that stupid to sign Vardy. He's a one-hit wonder.
  14. Yeah, let's sign him. And then loan him out. And then loan him again. And then sell him for 6m pounds or something.
  15. Agreed. I wouldn't condemn him either. I simply do not care at all, to be honest. I am more worried for Chelsea than for Mourinho or United.
  16. I beg to differ. He comitted to us not because of loyalty, but because he knew that the fans love him and will always stand by him no matter what. Not to mention the pay check. It's not like he was managing us pro bono. His sallary was huge. Loyalty doesn't exist anymore. Not in football.
  17. I was more confident right after the draw than I am now. I think they will smash us if we don't get our defending strenght back on track. Anyway, I really can't see us getting through as things are right now. Yes, there is still a lot of time left to improve, but the signs are not good. Maybe with a few signings, a few great signings, we would stand a chance.
  18. I absolutely love this guy. In this generation full of spoiled little kids, he's something different. No fancy haircuts, no shiny tattoos, just a serious guy playing football with ambition and hunger of success! Probably my favourite player at the moment.
  19. Agreed. I felt a lot of frustration after that exact missed shot. I don't understand why players are so selfish sometimes. He knows that he is not a good finisher, he had Hazard (If I recall) free on his right, and instead of giving him a sitter, Matic shot million miles away. Probably the lack of confidence is so big that they lost common sense and team spirit and they are just trying to prove themselves by useless dribbles and selfish shots.
  20. Fucking shit. Thse guys play like they hate each other. Why the hell would you defend a 0-0? I mean, if you were 1st by 7 points, ok, but we are close to the relegation zone. We can't afford defending against no one. Pathetic display.
  21. Judge the line-up AFTER the game. If we trash them, someone will look like a clown. And it's not going to be Guus.
  22. Why do people want to get rid of JT? I mean, ok, he's past his prime, obviously. But he's a legend, for Christ's sake. He really is one of us. He's our own Maldini, Del Piero, Puyol or Scholes. Not Lampard, not Drogba, not Mourinho. John Terry. HE is our symbol. I think letting JT go would be the stupidest thing to do. We need him to retire from us. He's been with Chelsea through good and bad, he is Chelsea. Of course he might get less playing time, as it's normal, considering he's aging. But he is still the most important figure in the squad.
