  1. Am I the only one who doesn't really rate Baba? I mean, he didn't convince me at all as long as he was given time. Sure, he didn't have much time, but neither did Kenedy, who still managed to make a better impression. At least in my eyes. I don't really think that we should lean on Baba for the future. Ake, Christiansen and Kenedy must be here next seasn, though.
  2. I wonder who's able to understand some Chelsea fans anymore. "We don't sign world class players anymore! Why? Why?" -> rumour appears about signing Zlatan -> "Hey, we should sign YOUNG players instead". Bruh, Zlatan is one of football's greatest and it doesn't matter how old he is. Look at how he plays, for Christ's sake! He bangs them for fun, he's a leader, he's just brilliant. It would be a huge hit if we manage to sign him. He's not like Mourinho. He's just Zlatan. He's a crazy and funny guy, but NOT toxic.
  3. I wonder how would he and Conte work together, even if I highly doubt that he'll sign for us. I can see him going to United, considering who their next manager is. But I would definitely love him here. He's a crazy son of a bitch, but also a winner and a champion.
  4. “In questo momento la nostra concentrazione massima è rivolta unicamente all’Europeo dove cercheremo con il lavoro e il sacrificio di sfruttare al meglio le nostre potenzialità. Chi mi conosce sa che il mio impegno sarà totale. Successivamente sento di dover tornare a fare l’allenatore in un Club avendo così la possibilità di allenare tutti i giorni. Grazie al Presidente Tavecchio che quotidianamente mi accompagna in questa splendida avventura” - Antonio Conte So basically, from what I understand, he's confirming that after Euro he's going to leave the NT and start working for a club again.
  5. Uhm, what rescue? The rescue mission is already aborted. The man did everything possible, but this team just doesn't cut it. What's the difference between finishing 8th and finishing 10th or 11th? That was it, it's time to move on and forget about it.
  6. How about some realistic expectations? James for Hazard sounds like a decent deal.
  7. Ake and Christiansen should be here for the next season. Also, how's Kalas doing?
  8. Spot on. Being a NT manager is a totally different thing than being a club manager. I really expect an announcement to be made today. We need to make things clear and start negotiations for a few players. We have nothing to fight for anymore, so why keep the silence?
  9. His father's making him look like a cry baby who needs mommy when things go South. Pathetic.
  10. But if Young Metro don't trust you...
  11. They have a better squad than us, that's obvious. But the one player that I absolutely loved in these two legs was LUCAS. Unbelievable midfielder. So fast and dangerous, everytime he had the ball.
  12. Is he depressed by any chance?
  13. Glad to also see Pato showing up for this clash In a serious note, why the hell is that guy here? I mean, he's not even on the bench.
  14. DIEGO, DIEGO, DIEGO, DIEGO! Come on! Just a few more hours left!
  15. They are pretty cocky and kind of talk too much. Usually, this kind of things turn against you when it matters the most. Hope we'll close their big filthy mouths tonight.
  16. So what was the result of Real vs. Roma yesterday? Help me make some money! Hahahaha!
  17. Uhm, how come it's already Wednesday "4 miles South east of The Bridge"?
  18. Heard that PSG just labeled him as fraud on their Twitter account. I bet that he's gonna score the goal that will get us through. Come on, Diego!
  19. Well, it was coming, wasn't it? I am so sick and tired of Oscar, it's unbelievable how poor he can be.
  20. Fair point, but this is a quote from January: "Asked on Friday if he would still rule himself out of taking the Chelsea job on a permanent basis, Hiddink replied: "Yes."" (ESPN) So basically he said that he rules himself out. Not literally that he doesn't want the job, but it's basically the same thing. Also, he said other things from which I can only understand that he can't see himself being here on a permanent basis. Yet, he was very classy in all of his statements. For example: "On the other hand, young people must take over and I must retreat a bit. I will visit Chelsea often next season but I'm not thinking of working elsewhere." Anyway, I wish he would stay, but it's clearly not a possibility. The club wanted to adopt a strategy for the next season, while he (maybe) wanted time to think about staying. Unfortunately, football doesn't give you so much time to think these days. At least I am happy that he's in a good relationship with the club and maybe we'll see him around pretty often. It would be nice to know that he could take over if things go south.
  21. "I have put two dates in my mind. The 25th and 28th of May, then it's finished and I can go home on the 29th. The first is the FA Cup final and the second is the Champions League. I think we have made it very clear at the end of this then I will stop". He said this in January. I really doubt that the board told him: "hey, Guus, we're gonna give you the job, but no matter what, you will leave after the season ends". It's clear to me that he lacks the motivation to go for the long term. Just to make it clear, I was one of the most excited members of this forum when he was appointed and if he would like to stay, I would be more than happy. He's a great guy and gave us some amazing results, given the situation. But I just don't think that he ever wanted to stay here for the next season.
  22. I just can't understand how people still insist with the "Guus should be given a full-term contract" talk. THE GUY DOES NOT WANT IT. It's simple. He said it many times before. It's not club's choice not to give him a new contract. It's his. He will probably be an adviser, he'll stay around, but he will never be Chelsea FC's permanent manager.
