  1. Thanks, man! I appreciate you! See, I think that bringing more great players is not enough. Getting rid of they would actually be essential for us to go ahead and fight for more success. Notice how I say more. And why shouldn't we try to make Stamford the...LION a little happier? On a serious note, I really think that we should go for Teixeira (he's probably already ours) and Lavezzi (convince him to join us from summer on). Then, we need a decent LB (Coentrao might be pretty cheap) and a good (D)CM. What bothers me is that while big teams like us, United, Liverpool are struggling, a lot of small ones are taking advantage and climbing the league table. That's what makes their players very expensive. It's really difficult to go for someone from Watford, Stoke, Palace or Leicester. I would try finding something in Portugal. Aaaand, of course, try bringing Gundogan, a central defender and Chicharito. Here's my list: Coentrao CB CDM Gundogan Teixeira Lavezzi Chicharito
  2. I think it's a matter of expectations.
  3. Why don't we just call Christiansen, Kalas, Ake, Van Ginkel, Romeu, Pasalic and Bamford back?
  4. We need Mikel. Not just for this game, but as a constant starter. I feel a lot safer with him than I do with Matic. I was thinking about: Courtois Ivanovic-Cahill-Terry-Azpilicueta Mikel-Rambo Pedro-Willian-Hazard Remy
  5. Damn, some of those 2009 names... Paulo Ferreira, Juliano Belletti, Michael Ballack, Ricardo Carvalho, Michael Essien Sweet memories!
  6. I hate Gomes, looks like a fucking pirate.
  7. Fucking spoiled little shit. Ruined my Christmas this cunt.
  8. I agree 100% with you, @CHOULO19 This press conference felt like mountain air after walking through the desert for a few hours in the afternoon. Mourinho lost his aura and his "mind games" turned against him and us, as a club. It was time for everything to be about football again. I was tired of controversy and shots fired at other managers, referees, ball boys, players etc. It was fun and enjoyable for a while, but at a certain point it became toxic and unbearable. And that's how it felt from our perspective. Imagine how it felt from the players'. Guus is a super professional guy, his English is impecable and yes, you got that perfectly: he's confident and I'm sure that his attitude will encourage the player to gain back their confidence. I really feel like this season will turn out to be good for us. And maybe we could build on that for the future.
  9. Oh, I didn't watch the conference, just read the statements in the media. I still hope that maybe he'll stay for more time here
  10. Longer than the season? Will Hiddink stay on: “As long as I feel desire, passion...I must feel inside my heart that I’m passionate to work with the guys.”So there is a chance he stays for more than until the summer. If he does good and the teams gets decent results, I can't see why we shouldn't try keeping him. He's a likeable guy and I really like his pressers.
  11. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/damien-duff-announces-retirement-football-7052695 He's retiring.
  12. So Mourinho thought that "the team is not in a great state"? But who allowed it to go there?
  13. I wouldn't mind Pellegrini. He's a decent guy. I am sick of all the controversial crap.
  14. If he goes to United, I wonder how he will look in front of those players. Which is his level of credibility now? And what about Mata? How will Mou dare to look him in the eye?
  15. I've been thinking this through and I came to realize that it's Mourinho's fault. At least most of it. He clearly lost it at a certain point. He lost it. Things were going great, we won the league, we were good. But something happened. And I tend to put the blame on him because I remember most of the times when he made all of us look like pathetic fools by giving scandalous statements after we lost games. Remember how many times he blamed the referees, the opponents, the pundits, the players, basically everyone else but himself? Imagine if he's like that in the locker room too. Imagine if his tactics prove to be wrong, but he blames you, as a player, for everything. You can't just accept everything. At a certain point, things go too far. Just like Mourinho went too far with his press statements. And looking back at these two and a half seasons, one league title and one Capital One Cup don't seem to be enough. It just doesn't justify all the sacrifices that we made under him. We sacrificed the club's image, we sacrificed enjoyable football, we sacrificed a lot. I am sorry, but that's how I see things. He's good, but not THAT good.
  16. No way. He just doesn't cut it. We need fast strikers, like Chicharito or Aubameyang.
  17. I finally managed to finish watching the 08-09 season review. Fantastic memories. Besides the good performances and the great results, what I've noticed to be stunning during Hiddink's tenure was his post-game reactions. He was calm, spot on and absolutely decent whenever he had something to say. With all due respect to mr. Mourinho, this club really missed a little bit of decency.
  18. Once Mourinho goes there, can we have Juan back?
  19. Interesting how this team's credibility went downhill. We are 3-1 up against Sunderland and yet we're shitting our pants.
