  1. You won't find such an article. TX makes up all these anti-Benayoun stuff in his head.
  2. How about accepting the fact that he won't go away no matter what you wish upon him and leaving him alone ffs
  3. Thierry Henry has signed for the MLS's New York Red Bulls. Full story Someone give him a hand. Couldn't resist. Haha
  4. Oh boy I almost forgot about Mineiro!
  5. The white Roma kit looks good
  6. or maybe the money is just a bit better than what anyone else offered him.
  7. I've been reading some of the reports over on the official site and I've noticed how they've described our pre-season training as being more fitness-centric right now, with a view to make it more technical and football oriented after a while. This should suit our WC returning players. Right now we have Ess, Mikel, Cech, Zhirkov, Alex, Bena and the youngsters training and they are the ones who require fitness training more than the WC players who've been away training with their national teams throughout the off season. I guess once the WC players return, it will be more football oriented to help them get comfortable on the ball, perfect their touch, etc. I think this is very smart. Fitness training for the non WC players and then technical and tactical training for both non WC players and WC players once the latter set returns. Aside from training, I hope we don't over-exert the likes of Lamps and Drogba in the pre-season friendlies. I don't want to see them start every game like they did last season. Not only do you want to avoid them injuring themselves, these games should be used by Carlo to check the progress of the ones who don't play regularly. We mustn't forget that we play one more game than the rest of the clubs and that is the Community Shield, and our top players will play in that anyway.
  8. Boulahrouz anyone? Had a reputation as 'the cannibal' when he arrived. Was 'a clown' when he left.
  9. You've got to forgive him. Seeing that he's recently signed a new 5 year contract with Liverpool, he knows this will be the only trophy he can get his fingers on.
  10. FFS if you look at the video of the incident, he sticks his hand out instinctively. The ball's heading straight to him from like one metre out and there's nothing he can do but stick his hands out so that the ball doesn't hit him in the face. It's not like he was a couple of yards away when the header connected, he ran towards the goalline and used his hands to stop it from going in. In any case, he was handed out the punishment according to the rules. A straight red and a penalty, which Gyan rushed and hence, missed.
  11. Yes Barcelona is the capital of the Catalonia and their whole issue with Spain and all that is their problem, nothing that I have an issue with. My basic grouse with Barca as a football club is that their supporters view the club as an embodiment of the nation of Catalonia and use it as a reason to build around themselves a sense of supposed superiority over other clubs. The 'We're more than a club, we're a nation' mentality so to say. They mix the politics with the game and that's just cheap. For all the class that Barca claim to exude, the hair on the back of my neighbour's dog has more class than them.
  12. Pass. Don't need him or the troubles he brings along. He can rot in Milan with the other 'wonderkid' Pato.
  13. I hate clubs and supporters who think of themselves as a nation. The likes of Barcelona -Catalonia and Man Utd - Mancunia come to mind.
  14. Sorry mate. English isn't my first language so I do make mistakes once in a while
  15. Suarez has come out and said he fancies a move to Man Utd or Tottenham but if there's interest from other PL clubs, he's prepared to consider it, but Spuds and Manure are his first choice moves.
  16. As you probably know, Steve Clarke left West Ham by mutual consent last month after Zola's sacking. Since he's a free agent now, I quite like the idea of his return here. Come to think of it, his return could only help us, with him being a popular figure with the lads during the Mourinho and Grant days. Your thoughts.
  17. and your point is ... ?
  18. Well known fact that Ancelotti used Kaka as his teraquartista while at Milan. I doubt he'd fit into one of our midfield trio in a 4-3-3. The midfield above looks great on paper, but it won't work. Kaka needs the team to be built around him. Here, it's built around Lamps. Why not just stick Mikel in front of the 2 centre-halves and give Essien more freedom to move further up the pitch. Why do we need to change our successful system for someone who is a)out of form b)not fully fit c)untested in the EPL and d)not worth the price his club will demand if they indeed want him gone?
  19. How about " A better No.10 than Joe Cole"
  20. Well where's Kaka going to play? On the wing in a front 3? If Carlo brings him in, we'll revert to the diamond just for him to be in a role he was comfortable in for 6 years. Where does that leave Malouda? And really, 50 million for a crocked has-been? Thanks, but no thanks.
  21. This is our club as well. And now that he's signed for us, it's his club too. And if you have such a problem, go support another club where you find the all-important 'magic and tradition' of shirt nos more according to your liking.
