I still play Football Manager 2006 LOL. Had truly forgotten about this guy, that's how random he was, but I started yet another new Chelsea career yesterday in FM2006 and there he was sitting in the Reserves, and I went "Can't believe I missed him!"

This thread is about Joe Cole joining Liverpool, not Benayoun joining Chelsea, so I don't see how it's 'on topic and extremely relevant' for you to keep mentioning YB or Kakuta. Oh that's right, you read 'Joe Cole' in a sentence and have to immediately start your 'Let's slag Benayoun off' game.

Can we just stop 1 more thread turning into this Benayoun-Kakuta saga? I'll miss Joe. Can't understand his decision making to be honest. Not our best player, but 7 years together and an attachment is obvious. Good luck there.

Yeah I was thinking along the same lines too with respect to Mancienne. I hope the club decide to keep for this season atleast. I dearly want to see him get some regular footie with us. Don't want him to be judged by his loan spells (where he was decent, btw.) I was surprised to see PvA playing as centrehalf against Crystal Palace the other day, didn't know he could play there.

You Indian? 5-10 years might be a bit early, man. We've come a long way since independence in 1947, but the main problem is that the development is uneven and unequal. Some of the rural areas are in a very bad state, but if you walk the streets of some of the big cities, you'll find it difficult to believe you're in the same country. The one good thing about Indians as a people though, and it's some thing I'm hugely proud of, is that wherever you go, you'll see a smile on every face, even on those of the poorest.

It really gets my goat when people think India is all about snake charmers, elephants and slums.

I feel a bit sorry for Franco. He never really got to prove himself to us. He had his settling-in season and Sturridge arrived, plus Borini emerged as a top prospect. His loan spell went poorly as well. He's got time on his side though, and if he puts on a bit of muscle and brings some maturity into his game, he can make it in the Premier League, but I don't see it happening with us, because a club of our size will not afford him the patience that he needs, especially with two other competitors for his place whom Carlo clearly trusts more. He has the instincts of a decent Premier League striker, but needs to develop his movement, runs and strength.

Kakuta's playing behind the lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 when in possession, 4-4-1-1 when not. Evidently hasn't been asked to track back which means his sole role is attack. I'm excited!

Maybe Cannavaro should concentrate on picking up his final pay day in the sand dunes...

Well maybe Carlo doesn't see Aguero as a striker, so who knows
