  1. Wouldn't think so...FSC are pretty accurate on most occasions...
  2. That's got to be bollocks. Surely if Drogba leaves it will be to Marseille.
  3. Van der Wiel is vastly overrated. I'd rather promote Billy C.
  4. This one had quotes from the man so it's reliable... But I agree about the mental state...something's not quite all right there at the moment I think. We're looking for excuses too much - Wilkins, malaria, injuries, etc.
  5. Soccernet ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... I dearly hope he doesn't mean it when he says the 30 year olds are not on their way out. I hope it's just him trying to not ruffle their feathers until the summer. They should be out, and the main ones like Lampard and Drogba should be playing lesser roles from next season on, there's no two ways about it. It's visible that their time as top dogs in this team is over. And the stuff about playing Paulo at CB is just bollocks. We had the young and hungry, recently-turned Holland international Bruma waiting in the wings and we play Paulo out of position. It's so moronic I'm still baffled by it. But he is correct when he says that simultaneous injuries to the collection of stalwarts like Terry, Lampard, Alex, Essien and Drogba couldn't have been predicted. We fucked up big time by not replacing the summer exodus and squad players would have made a difference. Then again, we could have given chances to Josh, Gael, Studge, Bruma and possibly Cork and Mancienne instead of sending them out on meaningless loan spells.
  6. If that performance is anything to go by, I can't say I'm surprised. Shocking defending really.
  7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3jUz6KfC0w Hate to say it but Bruma is in some way responsible for all three of Reading's goals here. His inexperience shows. Anyone of the British members here keeping an eye on him and Patch? How're they going at Leicester?
  8. He's a nice guy, is John. The media's always out to get him though. Perils of being Chelsea skipper.
  9. I suppose the biggest change would be the money and all the good and bad things it brings along. But one more thing that changed European football forever - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosman_ruling
  10. I guess it's because they're closely involved with the club.
  11. Yep I can so relate to that, but it's Lamps in my case. Needless to say, Frank won't be around much longer, but I'm Blue forever.
  12. If Drogba doesn't want to give up his position, he has to go - simple as. Chelsea > Drogba and Chelsea > Torres, and we can't afford to have the two of them mucking about. I love DD even though he makes it hard for me sometimes when he decides to throw tantrums and behave like a big baby, but all good things come to an end.
  13. Good now that the cat is out the bag, let the jokes begin! I go first - Now we know why Rooney wanted him to be knighted, it's marvellous all the strenuous activity he can put up with at 38 :eyebrows:
  14. I like Everton's home one ... the bronze touch is different and nice, goes well with the blue.
  15. Killed while traveling to his own wedding ... can't imagine how crushing it would be for his fiancee. R.I.P
  16. It's interesting that you say that because after I made my last post about not changing a winning team, I thought about the exact same thing you did and I wondered if playing Torres from the start wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. They get a lot of men behind the ball and 3 out of their first choice back 4 are centre halves (Ridgewell is played at left back) so physicality would something right up their alley, but maybe pace in behind isn't.
  17. ...And thus end the days of us being the only big club to not feature a tongue-twister.
