Really hope the lad stays, instinctive and proven goalscorer, we need someone like him who sniffs out chances and knows where to be and when to be there.

1. Don't think Johnson will like it too much that inspite of consistently being one of their players he a)doesn't get played every game and b)they're looking into signing players who'll take away whatever little time he gets atm. Can't imagine a player of his quality would be too happy with that. He'd want to play every week, with the EURO coming up next year. As regards City, they've already found out how difficult it is to keep so many players happy. I'd take a punt and offer them double of the 8m they paid to get him. 2. True, Sanchez is a better player than Johnson but Johnson is a settled player in the league and he's a remarkable improvement on our 'wingers' and is the kind of player we desperately need. No harm in taking a punt, I'd say.

Might not be that bad a thing for us. Sanchez to City ------> Johnson to Chelsea?

Ugh it's revolting to see him in that red shirt I'm a bit surprised tbh, he came on against West Ham and was all desire and passion and wanted to just run and make a difference and after the goal happened I said to myself this is it, he's going to be like this most games now. Not the goal part, the effort et al. Dunno what's gone wrong since then because I seriously thought that would be the boost he was lacking.

I remember two distinct situations yesterday where balls were squared looking for players in the box and he was nowhere to be found. Just not making those runs you'd expect any half-decent striker to make. One was from Anelka and one was from Cole. He looks like he can't wait for this season to end. So do I tbf. Let's hope the summer brings us the answers we need.

Decent , not spectacular. But then he wasn't required to be. Just a nice way to make him feel a part of the squad. Needs a season long loan to a Premiership team where he will be played more often than not.
