I think if and when Barca do think of getting him back, it'd be as a central defender, not midfielder.

We have zero depth in the centre midfield and if we can find a squad place for someone like Ferreira and Hilario, singling out Malouda is nothing short of a witch hunt.

Not sure I'm with Robbie on this one. Malouda hasn't been too great for a while now and I would not be sad to see him go but it seems a bit harsh to toss him into the youth/reserve set up because of the club's failure to move him on. If it's a discilplinary issue like Alex/Anelka then fine, otherwise it feels a little heavy-handed to me.
