Boy wasn't that a relief. My weekend should fly by in a much happier mood.

I like how the homeless guy turns to dispensing life advice when he has no logical response to a clear enough observation.

Stoke fan hating Ashley Cole for no apparent reason .. classic case of how the media can create a reputation/image. Edu and N'zonzi are good signings for them.

Hardly an outburst, tbf. First off, I was a little harsh; you made a good post about Marchisio-Pirlo-Vidal later on which I hadn't read before commenting. What I didn't like about the post - You seem to assume Mikel has been anointed as the destroyer when there has been nothing to suggest this is true. Playing in a two man midfield doesn't automatically turn the components into destroyer-creator like Tiote-Cabaye, they can work with more subtle participants as well. Even if he were a destroyer, how does intercepting the ball more often suggest he's not doing a good job? That's just bizarre. Mikel has never been a hardman like Scott Parker; he relies on his positional sense to perform in his appointed role. You'll find he has always intercepted more and tackled less. Judging by that sentence alone, you didn't get my point. The nature of his lapses have no connection to pace or age or slowing of reflexes or confidence. It is about understanding and perception, something that should, on the contrary, build up with age.

Jelly like. Like Torres' temperament. Very fluid and out of shape. -
Fernando is excellent value for money. On Football Manager.

We're already playing with a false number 9. -
Another Oscar quote : "I liked the reception from the fans. They're great. I hope I can keep growing and scoring goals." Also, this is a great picture : Also, Piazon's such a cutie

Yes, he's meant to destrodificate the aggressive animation from his adversarial subordinate with a little bit of emotional control.

They're as widespread as the snow here.

This post makes me think about Mascherano. The one at Liverpool is markedly different to the one at Barcelona. Players can be convinced to buy into a philosophy. What's that, Cech? You're used to lumping cannon balls in the general direction of an Ivorian monster? Well that's too bad because we now have Torres up there. Mais non.

I think the key word from my original post is 'approach'; everyone of Hazard, Oscar, Marin and Mata do not need to be on the pitch for us to undergo a change in our identity.
-
I'll tell you why his performance yesterday had no correlation to being past his prime or getting on in years. The kind of lapses in his play betrayed a lack of understanding of his role and a lack of co-ordination with his teammates. That's got nothing to do with pace or age, just concentration, composure and intelligence. These were errors that would be expected from some wet-behind-the-ears greenhorn like Kalas or Chalobah, not someone as experienced as Terry. What utter donkey bollocks.
-
I wouldn't say I'm 'unhappy' about the sources of our goals (the more, the merrier) but I agree that for all the money spent on getting attack minded players here there's no marked change in our approach to a game.
-
I don't want him here because I don't want him to drop any of the trophies we'll win in the future

Not just the instance of the second goal, he was all over the shop for much of the evening. In the first half when Ivanovic misplaces the ball straight to a Juventus player, he fails to do anything decisive in either delaying the break or regaining posession, then meekly turns his back to goal while the ball's played past him and into the area Ashley Cole has vacated, fortunately Vucinic shoots wide. Again, for the first goal, dives in without bothering to accost Vidal or put any pressure on him. Really put to shame by his opposite number in Chiellini who was absolutely fantastic all night.

Has he killed Robbie's cat or shagged his dog or something?
