Turning the club's officials towards forum discussions?

in a dream world Chelsea the perenial yo-yo club and nearly men.. have a billionaire owner who actually loves football and brings to us some of the greatest managers and players in the world ,3 EPL titles,3 Fa Cups,2 League Cups & Community Shields and takes us to our first ever European Cup/Champions league final to go with a world class training complex and Youth Academy...in his first seven years at the club. guess it`s not enough for everyone though, to be able to trust the judgements of the people that he has employed to make such decisions and manage a team to win so much silverware.. if Carlo and/ or Roman don`t want him...that`s enough for me. -
wonder which R.Madrid player will come out with it next week...that`s the only thing that will change in the situation.. he`s contracted to Chelsea ,the Club who own his contract have stated he will not leave..nothing more to say really...you`d think they would have learnt from Barcelona and how their public antics over getting Fabregas has got them nowhere.

OPERATION FOR Drogba Posted on: Sat 24 Jul 2010 Didier Drogba successfully underwent minimally invasive surgery yesterday [Friday] on the groin injury that had troubled him for some of last season. The decision to perform the procedure after his return from the World Cup was made to optimise his rehabilitation, and he is expected to return to full training in approximately three weeks. Chelsea hit back in summer transfer battle with bid for David Luiz as Ramires says 'Yes' EXCLUSIVE By Simon Cass Last updated at 11:01 PM on 23rd July 2010 Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is preparing to land a significant blow in his transfer battle with Manchester City. Not satisfied with winning the race to sign Benfica midfielder Ramires in a £20million deal, Abramovich has sanctioned a second raid on the Portuguese club for their £27m-rated defender David Luiz. The double swoop signals a return to Chelsea's big-spending days that coincided with the Russian's arrival at Stamford Bridge, and manager Carlo Ancelotti has set about reinforcing his double-winning squad with the best of Brazil's young talent. Take that, City: Chelsea have upped the ante in their summer transfer battle with Man City with a £27m bid for Benfica's David Luiz (L) as Ramires says 'Yes' The extravagant transfer moves are also sure to deliver a bloody nose to Manchester City, who have also been closely tracking Ramires and Luiz. Up to now, Sheik Mansour's billions have seen City press on unopposed during the summer transfer window, with Roberto Mancini having already splashed out more than £80m on players. Making changes: Carlo Ancelotti wants to strengthen his title-winning side But while City are likely to be challenging for honours this season following a major overhaul, it seems Chelsea's recent history of success has proved decisive in convincing 23-year-old Ramires that his future lies at Stamford Bridge. Sportsmail exclusively revealed the details of Chelsea's £20m move for Ramires on Thursday. And barring any last-minute hitches, his transfer will be finalised at the end of next week, after a holiday in his native Brazil following his exploits in the World Cup. Ancelotti will doubtless be delighted to have got his man having searched for a central midfielder to replace Michael Ballack following his return to Bayer Leverkusen, while Deco is expected to join Brazilian side Fluminense. Luiz, 23, is seen as a future star for Brazil having represented his country at Under 20 level. And he his already proved his class with Benfica, having been an ever-present last season as the Lisbon side won their first domestic title for five years. Enlarge How Sportsmail lead the way on Thursday Chelsea have firmed up their interest after losing Luiz's countryman Alex to a torn thigh muscle which will rule him out for a month. In addition, if Chelsea are successful in pulling off a deal for Ruiz, who like Ramires has attracted the interest of top clubs across Europe, then it may signal the end of Ricardo Carvalho's stay at Stamford Bridge. Under threat: Ricardo Carvalho's Stamford Bridge days are numbered Carvalho's former manager, Jose Mourinho, is understood to be keen for a reunion at Real Madrid. However, Rafa Benitez is eager to have the benefit of Carvalho's experience at Inter Milan as he tries to emulate Mourinho's treble winning exploits at the San Siro. There could be a decidedly samba rhythm to Chelsea's play next season if they are also successful with a £17m move for Santos's 18-year-old striker Neymar. Source :Daily Mail

a pretty experienced team for Ajax today including internationals and 3 or 4 players who played in the World Cup, ..this was their 6th pre-season friendly. where as with us..it was basically our Youth and reserve team,,(minus some of our best youth and reserve players) with Terrible Turnbull, and Essien & Mikel coming back from long term injuries....it was our 2nd pre-season friendly and i think that was the difference..they looked fitter and more sharper than us..which having played 4 more pre-season friendlies they should have.. it was a disappointing performance overall and result but when the circumstances are considered fairly..very understandable. look forward to seeing one or two youngsters surrounded by our top seasoned pro`s in a competitive game in the coming season..thats when we will get a fairer read on how good they are.

Blue Kenyan is his nickname..how fitting, seeing as he`s about to join the blues.. as for the folks who see him as a DM..i can`t say i do..i think he will either play the right CM in a diamond formation..or the right side of a 3 man midfield...he could play DM if needed, but the previous positions is where i see him playing for us. great signing..(aslong as it goes through as expected..) lots to give us..young,very good allround midfielder.
-
oh for fucks sake Turnbull...can i take back my comments in the Hilario v Turnbull thread please...he`s having a `mare..our outfield players are playing better than theirs..
-
Daniel Sturridge 1-1..nice play.
-
i think he`s only playing because we got so many out due to WC and under 19 tournament...don`t know why Mitrovic isn`t involved tho..
-
as far as i can see after several replays..Bruma didn`t touch it.. Chelsea getting more into the game now
-
Turnbull should have reacted quicker then..not really sure if Bruma touched it but Ross certainly did..
-
nice effort from DS..just wide.
-
i thought 5pm ..but it`s 5pm already and they not kicked off yet...
-
oooh Ajax got some international players in their team..look at Ajax taking it serious..
-
looking forward to seeing our Cubs in such a big stage for them this evening..is certainly gonna be a step up from Selhurst Park. A jax should have a pretty young team out with splatterings of experienced players..probably more than us i should imagine due to us having more players at the WC. good luck to the lads...Come on Chelsea!!!!
-
would be very suprised if Matic left..i`m sure he`s pencilled in to be a first team squad regular this season..

*according to the Sun we should find out soon if Ramires is ours or not...not a bad weekly wage IF the Sun are true on this * BRAZILIAN World Cup ace Ramires will decide tomorrow whether to join Chelsea or Manchester City. The Premier League champions have made a £20million bid for Benfica's defensive midfielder. Yet Ramires, 23, who starred in Brazil's run to the quarter-finals in South Africa, is also wanted at Eastlands. Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira will meet with both English clubs to thrash out a deal best suited to the Portuguese champs. Ramires is ready to accept the four-year deal worth nearly £50,000 a week on offer from Chelsea. Yet City hope to gatecrash the party at the 11th hour. Ramires cost Benfica £5.5m from Cruzeiro last year. Brazil boss Dunga said he was sorely missed after suspension ruled him out of his nation's 2-1 last-eight defeat by the Netherlands.

Turnbull definately.. he handled the huge Inter game well and no other games in the following month are anywhere near as big a game as that was, so we should absolutely pick him..although about 10 years Hilario`s junior he plays a lot steadier than him...Hilario has made a few great saves over the years, but he`s also let in some shots that he should have easily saved. Turnbull on the other hand might not be able to pull off the world class saves..but least you know if he`s beaten..it`s by a good shot or header. whoever Carlo doesn`t pick out of the two is probably not far from the exit door...as much as Hilario is a likeable guy ,as most back up goalies usually are..i hope it`s him.
-
Carlo did say just after we won the double that Ivanovic done very well at RB but he sees him as a CB for us . with Bos it depends when he returns..for the time being it`s likely to be Hutchinson or Bruma... but Bruma will probably play CB against Ajax with Cork or Hutch at RB.
-
i`m sure we all would..but with the over inflated prices for English players we better off producing them through our youth ranks rather than buying them...luckily we have quite a few promising English and British players on our books already.
-
is already on the list at 19th :eyebrows:
-
5 million euros too.
-
i`m sure after the Mutu & Bosnich cases..players are watched more for tell tale signs....Crystalized noses, rolled up notes, finger rubbing gums in the locker room, over enthusiatic dancin` at the pre-game music etc...
-
indeed Mutu was a quality player
