Hope we turn them down and they take Gusto instead.Gusto is a lost cause for me with way Maresca uses the fullbacks.but is a quality traditional RB and there he can shine again then either comes back to us if Maresca era ends or can be sold for better fee than he would by another season playing in the role he badly struggles. One which Acheampong is already better at.

Why is George being discounted as a W/AM option? If he went on loan i'd fully expect him to produce as much or more than most of the players we linked with now. But if we loan him out then he comes back into an even more flooded position group,plus in most cases loan outs end up being put up for sale when they return regardless of how they performed on loan. Just keep him with us.

Whilst there's probably alot of clubs that would like to have Noni.i see only a few that he would accept a transfer to due to him breaking through with the national side and a world cup fast approaching...i'd accept a reasonable offer and reinvest it in defensive/keeper positions. With the sanctions we need to move away from the luxury/overkill additions like yet more W/AM's.Neto,Estevao,Gittens and George with others able to fill in is enough.LB depth is the most critical need. then Keeper and then CB.

Only LB we been linked with was Hato.but all links gone cold lately.maybe heat up after CWC. It should be priority really.all other positions have multiple options.

What troubles Gusto would trouble him. We got Acheampong who can play the specific role better than both and arguably even James.

I'd be fine with us keeping Noni for another year but also i only ever considered him a short term 2-3 year signing so for a decent profit i'd be ok with that too..we would still have Neto,Gittens,George,Estevao with Quenda coming next year and other players in our current squad that can do a good shift out wide if required. Likes of Jackson,Noni and a few others are more experienced than some we have brought in but do they really use that experience?

He'd be my favourite signing of the summer. He seems to be the only one we've been linked too for that role.hopefully he wouldnt be put off having to compete with Cucu tho and see that he can play plenty of games as cover for 2 positions to begin with.plus when you sign longterm for Chelsea you are likely to have many different head coaches so your situation can change if you arent at first a starter.

Palmer,Estevao,Gittens,Neto,George,plus others that can play in those positions if needed with Quenda coming next year is ample and thats presuming Noni will be sold soon. Two defenders and a new keeper should be absolute limit.

Pedro should mean the end of the Jackson project. I'd say it's 50/50 if Guiu will depart on loan or stay tho.if Pedro was an out and out CF then he would be loaned out. Having 3 confident infront of goal options is nice tho.been a while.

Acheampong is one of our most composed players already,players develop at different speeds but he's been ready for an extended role for a while.for me the biggest decisìon Marseca has is where should he be a primary starter. But i'd certainly put him in our "untouchable" group of players.

Maignan is by far the best option if club truly believe Penders is the longterm solution.will give him a couple of years to grow into it.. If not then could look at younger keepers.

Without the 3rd grade european mickey mouse cup i'm not so sure Maresca is going to blood our huge potential youngsters enough. Persisting with Gusto over Acheampong,Nkunku over George,Reece out of position over Santos or Essugo.Sanchez over Penders,Jackson over Guiu etc.. Some youngsters arent ready for extended roles but when one has a great game then is left out for a relative veteran who keeps on failing which of them should truly be classed as not ready..thats deciding based on numbers on a birth certificate rather than merit.

That is the issue..Gittens actually would be a great option at LW in a 4-3-3 fast transition set up. But in a 4-2-3-1/3-3-3-1 it's not LW or LF types but LM we need. There is some players in our squad that can work well in multiple formations,roles etc..but vast majority the former is where they excel and same goes for players we are linked with. Although we have need in other positions the one thats causing me most anxiety (relatively because i don't really do anxiety) is not having a viable back up to Cucurella. The guy is a work horse but we are currently fooked if he gets injured or suspended.where as every other position has other options we can work with. Looks like Hato is slipping away..

I think Hato be targetted next week.Maignan again sometime later once they are reminded of what they currently got in the keeper ranks during the CWC group stages. The LM/LW/LF addition i think will be the last one to be completed and i suspect will involve a player + cash. With Quenda on the horizon i don't believe they want to spend too much cash on someone to the point that the incoming player would expect to start ahead of Quenda without having to fight for it.

Whilst it's very possible he isn't ready for PL and CL.would gain more from taking him than Nkunku when he mentally left the club about 9 months ago.

Worth remembering the deadline tonight is basically just for group stage of CWC.we can easily win our group with no more additions even though it's always better to get targets in a.s.a.p.

Maybe meet Dortmund half way and get him for 48m (seen they want 55m for him)
