LB,LCB,DM,LM,LW..be great to have in the squad. Love his skills,as a defender love his ability to sniff out danger and react in a split second.so good on the ball too. I'd have him competing for LB and LCB to begin with.he's good enough to start but great depth to begin with

Not the biggest of needs but think out of those we linked to this summer Hato is the biggest talent.reckon he could do a good job in any of the defensive and midfield positions. I'd be inclined to bite on his transfer a.s.a.p. *i know i said Maresca should have a word with Renato first but fook it..
-
I like Ekitike alot if used as a LF,that for me is his true position. Can fill in for CF when needs must but if is being chased for the latter only i'd prefer other options.
-
Maignan if as expected should be relatively cheap, wouldnt be a bad option as a bridge player until Penders or one of our other young keepers is ready to take over. I'd be more bothered if we had nothing coming through behind him.
-
For our back line i'd have a direct chat with RV see where his head is at,see if he's prepared to suck it up and play wherever the team needs him, otherwise go in hard for Hato. As for any Branthwaite v Guehi..i like both and wouldn't say Guehi is better long term but with all variables to what getting each would cost, ramifications for rest of the squad, transfer drama etc...i'd pick Guehi..i reckon Branthwaite would be a long protracted over priced deal and block path of young players that we have that could become better.where as Guehi would be good but not at a price or age that totally blocks those paths.

Players weve brought in and continue to be linked with i think are more suited to a 4-3-3 fast counter attacking team than a 4-2-3-1 slow walk. Gittens and Ekitke LW/LF much better suited to those rolls than as LM and CF

I'm fine with Jackson staying and fighting for a place and fine with him leaving for a profit. If we as reported are in for yet another winger i hope it's atleast the kind that can be like Anelka was for us. Wide forward/Center Forward. NJ might be able to do that but not seen him used out wide..Nkunku been tried in both but when given the CF job, hid from the danger area like a fat kid in PE.
-
My record of predicting if strikers we sign turn out good, is like most of us patchy at best but Delap is like Palmer was before we signed him.small sample to test from but can see signs he has "it".we pretty much saw the good, bad and ugly of NJ last night. Delap offers us some similar attributes that good side of NJ does but better close control, better composure, finishing.

Only see ownership getting rid of head coach regardless of everything we may think and knowing the profile of whom they go for, about the best we can hope for if they make a change is Iraola and hope for the best.
-
Sometimes we let a player go cheaply but ends up having a nice career elsewhere..i'm not expecting Salah,KDB but Casadei definately could be another Pasalic.
-
Would prefer to keep Felix than Nkunku. As much as Sanchez had another howler last week. Nkunku came on and played like a fat kid being forced to do P.E.
-
Would be an act of surrender to sell Cole back to them at any price.giving up on countless amount of trophies, when with Pep and KdB's time running down there is some light at the end of the tunnel...i would laugh it off but with the current regime there's always a chance that any level of dumb shit is atleast marginally possible.

So what leagues still have their window open apart from Saudi until midnight monday? Is Turkey still open until October?
-
Players can still earn big money with us,just no longer by just signing the contract and coasting.
-
My bet is that saudi team only signs Osimhen.despite all the reports.
-
Should be able to wrap up Toney pretty quickly, transfer fee and salary should be far more reasonable, wants to stay in Prem,is just up the road, doesnt need to move house, can remain in contention for England.can be either 1a or 1b with Jackson.isnt gonna be a weight around our necks if fails.
-
Don't mind that he wants to fight for a place,we aren't going to shift all who might need replacing in the next 53 hours. Plus his problem is consistency, good streaks and bad but less of a lost cause for Enzoball than Disasi Even if it's just for next few months to a year..
-
I like that we looking at CB's. But can't say i know the player well.hasn't played that many games at Benfica, but linked to potentially replacing Skriniar at PSG.. If we bidding for a CB might suggest that a sale is in the pipeline.
-
It aint exactly a choice between wealth and poverty.
-
Sancho and to a degree VO signing elsewhere i would have zero problem with..this only being able to shift our unwanted if we buy theirs that has become the theme of this window is something we need to break free from.
-
We'd be stupid to do it (which we kinda are) so our hope must be that Sancho isnt as stupid and wants to go where there is less competition for places.

Duran is far more raw and unproven than Toney. Looking at a small sample to judge him,in some ways same as Palmer was but could see Palmer had it (not saying that he would have the season he had last year but could see he had "it") i don't think Duran is available now anyway and with Toney being about to go to Saudi if we don't act now..we run the risk of losing out to all 3 of Duran,Toney and Osimhen. I think Osimhen going elsewhere with Arsenal and PSG raising funds from sells as we speak,is a real possibility. I'm relaxed about it personally as think with EM and the players we currently have, the false 9 option has more chance of being a decent option than was the case previously with us.
-
Osimhen has a higher ceiling but Toney has a higher floor. Toney somewhat proven in PL,despite his age is as hungry as ever so opposite of a Sterling.he'll be 29 next march so not exactly old and isn't a pure speed merchant so isnt going to decline abruptly.we have young CF's that should be able to step up by time he's done.he's not blocking development of those youngsters. He puts away what he should.an underated gift when looking at CF's when it should remain the most important. Signing him would rescue him from Saudi and from certain England retirement. Is only the previous gambling issue that is a red flag but really after the punishment he had last time that shouldnt be an issue. Osimhen has potentially more red flags and would cause more issues to us if he flops than Toney would.

It's beginning to look a lot like christmas...

That is where i'm at with him.combination of doubts over if he'll ever be good enough for any prem team let alone one with high expectations and the fact we got so many better options anyway. Loan to some lesser league to raise his value for re-sale. I'd wouldnt be against Scottish prem at this stage..or Portugal,Holland. Gernany,France or Italy might still be a level above him.
