Maybe bring the CF from strasbourg over earlier than planned.

We played last 2 seasons with 1 donkey CF. I'm sure we can cope with 1 good CF for what 6-8 games..add in "false 9's" and those in youth ranks if required. It may be that we have given up on signing anyone for depth at 10 so see Pedro for that role again,but suitable depth at 9 is a far smaller talent pool. Hopefully a loan option appears if it has to be an incoming.

The whole uefa sanctions thing makes me think the cheeky bid for Fermin is the most we can afford to still comply.which would also be too little to get Rogers. As soon as it's become clear we won't get the expected 60m for Jackson. It's off bar a pure players for him . A trade like say Jackson and George for Rogers. With Rogers in side we could have Palmer upfront when required until Delap is back

Garnacho has the look of the type of boy that would be a school bully to the physically challenged but popular with the girls because of his femininity. Just imagine him in grange hill if it was still in production. Hope he does well like with all signings.but not critical atleast with what we already have at the club and on their way.

I agree.he's more developed as a CF and a pro.

I wouldn't have got him back but not for the reason of pleasing clubs that naturally put their own first.

Will be the first time in many years we won't lose anyone to Afcon.(although Nigeria have shown interest in Tosin) having Afcon this winter could help us.

Palmer be back,Pedro play CF. I would atleast have a glance what's out there on short term deal for CF.without getting a 10 in Pedro may be needed there at times so have a look. I'm not a fan of George at CF atall.

3 good players is a good window in my eyes and we got atleast 5,maybe in time more..Acheampong for me is better than any CB we could have realistically got. Scalvini was possible but too much of a gamble until he's proven recovered from his ACL. I think it'll go down in time as one of our best windows ever.but we did have the chances to make it our best ever and we kinda shit the bed with a couple of deals.

I don't have a problem with forward planning in regard to defenders and Keeper as stated in my previous post. I just wish they did that more with other part of the squad more.Quenda,Paez,Derry,Rabbaj,Walsh,Rak-Sakyi in the pipeline but we spending fortune or looking too on other young players.George already a victim of this.

Colwill was highly rated before he became a good CB because his other skills are quite rare,Enzo wanted a like for like but they cost alot and then what you do when Levi comes back,Acheampong proves that he's the defensive equivalent of Jude. They are using forward planning by not spending anymore there for now.(same as with keeper) Which I'm fine with but they don't do that with the rest of squad.they'll target one player at a position and already target another at the same position before they even have the first one join up with the squad. Overall I'm happy with the overall new additions.counting ones already signed previously. Transfer window itself the good,bad and ugly.

Jackson and George for Rogers might work..

Simons by far ticked the most boxes for a fluid 3 behind the CF. I'd prefer Pedro at CF and Estevao at RAM atleast for now as I think CAM would be too much for him so soon but those 2 plus Santos and Enzo depending on the opposition probably better option to fill in than we going to get so late in the window. Plus with Garnacho now we shouldn't need that CAM that can also play LAM.

Wharton would mean more than one of the following also happening.. Enzo being sold. They found out Lavia has something career threatening. They plan to use Santos in the 10.(Enzo in the 10 for me is only good as a sort of false 10/defensive 10 against certain teams) It's a bigger stretch than Gladstone Small turning into a Giraffe.

3 options for each position is the way but obviously not having 33 players.why they value players with flexibility. Fluid 3 behind CF.doesnt matter where they are marked down for on the TV screen.I think their original plan was Pedro as one of the fluid 3 then saw what he can do at CF in the CWC and so began chasing Simons.

So what does Simons and Hato say for Marescas opinion of Palmer and Cucurella? George is the one Maresca lost faith in.

If can't sell Jackson then keep.if we can't buy Simons then JP will be needed for positions he would play. Hope we do sell Jackson and sign Simons but that should be the fall back option,not loan Jackson and miss out on Simons. Enzo has been careful not to "officially " put NJ in the bomb squad incase of this potential situation.

Don't suppose we got a sell on clause with him. Did the right thing by him by letting him go back..

Only 2 years left on his contract tho. We in a tricky situation with him.if we sell him we unlikely to find someone who'll pay a fee we won't regret selling him for in the future, If we loan him for a year he comes back with just a year left. Ideally extend him before the loan but he may resist that with how we stockpiling in AM positions.
