  1. Players will be leaving for sure. But still think it's not a case of Colwill and Calafiori having to compete for the same position.so Benoit if stays can compete to be a 1st in line back up with Tosin. Alfie probably be loaned,Trev could easily it seems be shifted and Disasi with bit of luck.Fofana be great if recovers and gets back on track but shouldnt be counted on,having 3 quality CB's with Calafiori able to slide over i wouldnt say is overkill if you are able to accept there will be subtractions to go with the additions. Same with Mamardashvili..when special players are available we can't tell them to wait for us to shift some others first and expect them to still be availablr or worry about inferior players getting gametime.
  2. No worries.i wrapped things up from my point of view.
  3. Slanderous to slag off another countries government and with baseless theories and claim that we were sailing in your one man boat to paranoid island. I'd say it was kind of me to presume you were drunk than just a window licker.
  4. Maybe best to leave the rest of the beer in the fridge..
  5. Indeed.and i don't think these lefties are so one footed like a defensive version of Sturridge,Leao etc...
  6. Loan i'd be ok with but not selling so soon. Seems like we are continuing the theme with this regime of planting seeds then pulling them out before they have fully grown.atleast under Roman they were allowed to sprout on loan somewhere.
  7. If he still has that release clause in place we should pay it and send atleast one of our spanish keepers to them to sweeten the deal. He's been quality long enough now to know he's the real deal.
  8. I said more established compared to Guiu.which he is. I've spent more time on a professional football pitch than Guiu without ever playing professional football..:) Call him Jackson..if i see Nico i think of the German bint singing strangled english.
  9. I think we waiting to sign him, then when it's complete we'll sign another more established forward like David or Beier. I think they want him but probably understand he might not be ready yet for extended minutes he is seeking and if we sign somebody more established before him he might turn us down. It may be that he'll be getting the game time he desires even after another forward addition but they probably aware that it could give him doubts. I personally think in the front 3 when we play it we would look to play only one true winger, the others being a true CF and a wide forward.
  10. Yep.Villa agree to pay us 37m for 1 of our pure profits,if we buy 1 of their "pure profits" .the way they can juggle the deals to comply..Villa and Everton appear to be working on deals for the same purpose. I wouldnt say they have no interest in Kellyman but without the Maatsen deal i don't think we'd be going for this deal.
  11. I have always thought their main plan is to take say the dortmund/southampton etc..model and what could happen if unlike them they didnt have to sell/see their best talent leave as free agents.
  12. Olise was worth going for but now we need to put that money to other positions.
  13. One of footballs longest standing mysteries. Why a big club haven't snapped him up yet. Always rumours of interest in him but don't really see them trying seriously to buy him.
  14. Trouble is whilst trying to save money longterm, they spend too long in the weird aisle at Lidl, blowing money on shit they don't need, then go hungry.
  15. Villa want Maatsen,we have interest in Duran..valued around the same price.Maatsen more experience/established but Forward more a prime position. Don't see why we don't offer them a straight swap. And possibly offer release clause for Guirassy.two forwards for 18m + LB that isnt gonna play for us anymore. Jackson can compete for multiple spots in the front 3. Could argue why not just get Guirassy but then every Afcon we'd be missing all our CF's.
  16. I would be fine with just sticking with what we got in the wide positions, letting them grow etc...but Olise is a special talent.just hope if we get him he can put those niggling injuries behind him,no question he's been good enough for a while.
  17. Praised Eze but said Cole was trying to be too precise and could have got a couple if quicker to shoot.
  18. Did something in his first start his international manager couldnt as a player. Southgate still critical of him tho.
  19. Hutch,Chalobah,Maatsen,Hall,Broja ...would i'd say get us atleast £110m pure profit. Then more with Ziyech,Lukaku, atleast 1 keeper etc..
  20. I like Hutch alot but with FFP etc...i'd accept 21m now with a favourable buy back option .without i'd expect more and sell on clause.
  21. Welcome (when it's proper confirmed) I see challenging for 3rd as a realistic goal. Think Klopp really got every drop out of the squad they got,i think before either side has additions ours may be more talented with base talent. Villa will be stretched by Champions league and although a good overall side, rely on a small number of players that they'd struggle without if injuries occur. If some of our vastly talented but missed alot of time players can stay healthy then i'd expect CL place for '25. We werent so far away in the end and that was with alot of longterm injuries and Poch doing some dumb stuff like the Colwill experiment..
  22. They want to go the long time continental style of head coach instead of a manager. I wouldnt call it a yes man. I would have gone a different route but not writing him off.all linked coaches have things people could take as a bad reason for hiring them.
  23. If we make a good hire then it'll be a fluke, have no confidence in the powers that be selecting the right candidate.coaches we are linked with do appear to be the types that would accept being head coach instead of manager. de Zerbi and Maresca have experience coaching multiple members of our current squad. McKenna kinda done the most impressive job of the candidates but as boom or bust as they come.can't help but think the job is out of his depth but he's been defying the odds. I wouldnt say we linked with anyone thats a safe pick.
  24. Poch should have some say on recruitment though just that, not complete control. Should have final say on who is sold though.i'd say that should be the case with every head coach/manager when player concerned wants to stay.
  25. There was no doubt who the designated penalty taker was in real pressure moments like the games against Man U and City.didnt see anyone fighting to take it off Palmer then.but padding their stats when already 4 nil up, oh they want to be "heroic" then..
