There's not much to be positive about. Marseilles was supposed to be our "strongest team" playing for pride, and they flopped. This is most likely the same team to play Tottenham, and they are 10x better than Marseille. Then ManUtd at home and then Arsenal away. Sigh.

Right now Mikel has established that position as his, and so, Ramires was a wasteful signing by us. (In my opinion) He's a good player, as I've said repeatedly, but he's surplus to requirements.

True. They were a 6.5 at best. They did leave a lot of gaps in the box though, but their closing down play was sharp which led Marseille to try and shoot from long range most the time.

Lol, no-one will slate you for that. Just because you wear an armband, it doesn't make you captain. Lead by example. As Terry did/does & as Lampard did/does. Petr Cech has been on fire in goal (to no avail these days) so I agree he should receive the armband.

I don't hate on Ramires. I hate on his type of player. Too defensive, gives no creativity to the team. He's fantastic at what he does, but we didn't/still don't need him.
