  1. You've misunderstood my point COMPLETELY. I'm not saying we should start McEachran now but I'm saying when we have these players who look to be ready to compete in first team action we should put them in against teams who are in the bottom half of the table, teams like Wigan, West Ham, Wolves ect. These are good teams to let young players play again because they can play with the senior players too. Young players need to be given the chance to see what Premier League football is like, it tells the players and coaches what individual players need to work on. For example, Josh would figure out he needs to bulk up, so he'd realise that on his own and put in the time and effort.
  2. I'm really happy at what Chelsea are doing. Like Zakkko said, most other teams would trash this kid out onto the street! But we're supporting him through his uni course and letting him know he still has a future at Chelsea Football Club.
  3. Bahaha saw this. Oh Kenyon, you can never keep him out of football. First United then Chelsea now Liverpool. On a serious note though: I hope you guys realise, if Huang's takeover goes through Liverpool will indirectly be owned by the Chinese government. Last time I checked, they're richer than the Saudi's
  4. I keep pointing this out.. It's like I said in the post "What do Chelsea need to do to reach the status of teams like Real Madrid and Manchester United" (or something like that) We need to get our own youth developed superstar in our squad who's the same nationality. All the big teams have a few: United: Scholes, Giggs, Neville (he's shite but..) Barca: Xavi, Iniesta, Valdes, Messi Real: Casillas, Ramos, Raúl (I know he's gone now.. but 16 years with the club?) Chelsea: Terry, Mancienne (barely), Turnbull (..) There's hardly anyone in our squad who's come through the ranks. The future could be: Chelsea: Terry, Manicenne, McEachran, Mellis, Bertrand + more But this is if Chelsea give them the push they need. I'm not saying introduce them straight away. But vs teams such as Wigan why not start McEachran with Lampard? Look at Arsenal. First game of the season away to Liverpool at Anfield (not and easy place for ANY team), he gives Jack Wilshere a start! The lad is only 18.
  5. I see your video.. & raise you this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s8V-I0QH-M
  6. I'm glad you said that! That's the most important point here, Kalou has the potential to be a Chelsea great! He's a very dangerous attacker, he's got good speed and good ball control. He lacks making chances to score but this can be improved with more playing time. If he puts in more consistent performances then he will be great.
  7. Meh.. I'd rather see us go for Kasper Schmeichel
  8. Yeah saw this.. It's good for us because it means Essien, Ramires and Mikel will certainly be in competition to see who starts games. Will be a great contest and bring out the best in all 3 players
  9. Well.. I'd say for Premier League games, drop the prices. £40-50 is just too much when you're 17 years-old. Champions League, Carling Cup & FA Cup are average £30/ticket so that's alright. Usually for these games tickets go pretty quick..
  10. I know I know.. And fair enough to him.. But still
  11. For example, Stoch made it there and we sold him.
  12. I don't understand. Why didn't she/he just DENY it when the story broke? Why keep us believing it's true and sacrifice his England captaincy, his friendship with a couple of players and become one the most hated men in England?
  13. Someone want to sum up latest news on this?
  14. Mods, close this thread now. I guarantee 100% Moyes will not be selling Jack Rodwell in the near future.
  15. Oh yes, I'm not forgetting them. But if you look at their ages (bar Cech, who's still quite young in terms of career length) and then look at who's lined up to replace them. Well do you see my point on that front?
  16. History. That's the very simple and blunt answer. Liverpool fans may do our heads in about it, but the fact of the matter is, they have 5 European Championships to their name. It's why, regardless of how they're doing today, they're still considered a big, prestigious club. When you ask someone "name the 5 biggest clubs in the world?", 90% of the time you'll get: Real MadridManchester UnitedBarcelonaAC MilanLiverpool These same clubs are also 5 of the most known clubs in the WORLD. Asia, Africa, America ect, they don't have as high of a football following as Europe does but they ALL know these clubs are big. Chelsea are in a period where we're writing a history that in 10/20years will see us in that list of "Big Clubs". We've just completed our first domestic double, to win the UEFA Champions League this year would go a big way to this "status". We also need to work tremendously on our youth system too. I know we have a good one now, but in comparison to clubs like Barcelona & Manchester United we severely lack that player that everyone knows. Barcelona = Iniesta, Xavi & MessiManchester United = Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo (yes he counts!)Liverpool = Gerrard, Torres (they did find him, and turn him into one of the best strikers in the game [when fit]), ReinaAnd so you get the point here. We need to find these young, good players and integrate them into our squad. We need players like Kakuta and McEachran to get into the first team squad and announce themselves to the world that "Yes, we came from the Chelsea academy and are now the best in the world"
  17. They should make the subs bench I think. I see us lining up as: ________________Cech_______________ Ivanovic______Alex_____Terry______A Cole ________________Mikel________________ _____Ramires/Benayoun___Essien________ Kalou___________Anelka_________Malouda Subs: Hilarious, Ferriera, Lampard, Drogba, Ramires/Benayoun, Kakuta
  18. SkySports News: Neymar reported said to have said he'd rather stay in Brazil than be on the bench at Chelsea
  19. A tribunal is being held in France to explain the actions of the French team's actions in the 2010 World Cup. The following punishments have been handed out: Nicolas Anelka has been suspended for 18 matches.Patrice Evra has been suspended for 5 matches.Ribery has been suspended for 3 matches.Toulalan suspended for 1 match.Eric Abidal escapes any ban. Update: Anelka has officially retired from international football, the ban would still stand if he came out.
  20. an article that's NOT criticizing us/making transfer rumours, say it isn't so?!
