  1. Lol I don't know why you're angry about this.. Messi was/is the best player of 2010. Xavi is 2nd. Perhaps some could argue Iniesta didn't have the best season he's ever had, but then again, he did score the World Cup winner.
  2. Exactly. Thing is the people don't really care (well, people I've asked anyway). It's just the FA and media
  3. Well I asked my Newcastle supporting friend, he replied simply
  4. I would agree about benching him, but had it not been for our next fixture list (Tottenham, ManUtd, Arsenal) I don't think we can afford it, nor can Carlo. If Drogba does not play and we lose everyone will look at Carlo and say "why did you drop Drogba" and start that whole media whirlwind. Perhaps he should've been dropped for Everton but what's done is done.
  5. Wouldn't mind Jol if I were a NUFC fan to be honest
  6. Haha, well his crosses were alright when we first signed him. I think the arrival of Robben really marked his downfall.
  7. Apparently it's between Pardew, O'Neill and Jol (who's just resigned from Ajax)
  8. Not sure about the Carvalho comment. He'd certainly be a first choice centre back in our squad though.
  9. Just a little over a month ago nearly everyone was singing praises of Anelka, saying how consistent he's been. Now we're going through a rough patch he's turned into enemy #1. Anelka has been better than Drogba recently. I know Drog's had malaria but everyone in the team has been playing bad. Even Malouda and Cole. Anelka & Ramires are the ones being singled out though. Let's wait till we get out of this "rough patch" and see how he's doing then huh?
  10. Cesar Maicon - Lucio - Pique - Cole Xavi© Ronaldo - Sneijder - Iniesta Messi - Drogba Coach: José Mourinho My pick

  12. Why England relied on that and using that as an excuse, I'll never know.
  13. Gotta agree with Shane here, Max. Even though Drogba hasn't been great this season the threat of him is always there. With Kakuta, well let's be honest, he'll get crushed by the Spurs defence, we can't throw him to the wolves at White Heart Lane & expect him to shine. Drogba and Malouda are a must start. I'd personally like to see Anelka there too because despite his criticism, he can still burst to life with a run down the wing and deliver in a good ball.
  14. I personally don't think Eto'o will/should win it. I know he won the double with Inter, but he wasn't very profilic that season, nor is he this. This could be because José played him down the wing (which he hated). Drogba had his best season in his career last season. Unfortunately he played the entire World Cup injured and so couldn't make an impact. This season he's been total shit I don't know about Gyan last season, but I know he had a phenomenal World Cup and he's having a good season with Sunderland, let's be fair, he ripped us apart with Welbeck. So I really wouldn't mind if it goes to Gyan.
  15. You're right. The British media are convinced it's a FIFA conspiracy. I personally think we're just really SORE LOSERS. The FA needs to grow some balls and get over it
  16. All I know is.. What a waste of time sending Delac there on loan.
  17. Hughton for Chelsea Assistant Manager please.
  18. I think Gyan's got a chance as well. He's never won it before, they may feel it's his time..
  19. 5 names short listed 1) Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast &Chelsea) 2) Salomon Kalou (Ivory Coast & Chelsea) 3) Asamoah Gyan (Ghana & Sunderland) 4) Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon & Inter Milan) 5) Seydou Keita (Mali & Barcelona) This list will be shortened to a final 3 on December 11th. The eventual will be announced on 20th December. Voting is done by the national managers associated with CAF (Confederation of African Football)
