It's January. They won't be able to spend that money to "revamp" now. If we come back in June I'm sure they'll consider it better.

Benfica has to report an agreement to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission first, that's why we knew about Ramires before Chelsea announced it. They reported the Ramires agreement on 4th August, we confirmed it on the 13th September. For example take a look here where they confirm Chelsea's bid lodged on the 14th.. This one confirms Di Maria's departure to Real Madrid & this one confirms Ramire's transfer So keep an eye on the Benfica section on there

Yeah I know what you mean, usually his composure is great, like Josh's. Yesterday was his first game back from his injury so I think he was a bit out of touch. But none the less he's a very crucial member of the squad when he plays in that role - I think he does it better than Essien and that being said, I think the push for Essien to play alongside Lampard is great too, so it's really a win-win

Sven is a great coach. Van Aanholt will learn a lot from him.

I think Mikel is better than Essien at defensive midfield play. It is therefore the case, Essien and Ramires should be battling out to show Carlo which deserves to play - Thus bringing out the best of each other alongside Lampard.
