I've always maintained he's criticised in a fair way. We'll all give him praise for his goal today, because it showed good movement and a good strike. Fair play to him.

Nice report Cech once again our hero and saviour. Easily our player of the season, I don't think anyone is topping him for that one. Phil Neville's thug-ish, rowdy, play was something that got to Malouda and I don't know why, but then the Frenchman became, fearful? Who knows. Kalou was definitely a good sub. His play was much more attacking and direct than Malouda's would have been. Drogba is showing signs of coming back, I know it's wasn't a great performance, but he's certainly showing improvement since Nov/Dec so I'm letting him off the hook. The first half he looked hungry and had desire, the second half was a less great for him though. Hopefully the rumours of Torres will spark him into life now

What did Bosingwa & Cole do? Yes, they didn't get as forward as much but defensively they tried as hard as they could. Coleman and Baines were a handful as it was mixed with that thug Phil Neville it made it very hard for our full-backs. This notion they're supposed to go forward for every attack is nonsense, at the end of the day, they are defenders primarily. Bosingwa tried to get forward as much as he can in fact. His final decision making wasn't that great albeit, but he did try hard

Agreed! Which is why I was relived when Mikel was brought on, I believe if he'd have started we'd have put in a more positive display than we actually did.
