  1. Robben! It's been a while, haven't seen you since the World Cup final Welcome.
  2. I think McEachran and Wilshere will work well. Wilshere is the more attacking of the two, he'll go directly at goal. McEachran will play the central midfield, play-maker role.
  3. The Metro. This is the ONLY news outlet reporting this! Let's not get so worked up so quickly!
  4. Come on Alex, you know that's not true. Perhaps for that 1 member that we all know is an ex-member who was banned in the past
  5. The Independent says we will sign Luiz for £21million tomorrow with a player going their way.
  6. Exactly, we must keep at least 1 player in the England squad even if it's on the bench At least with Ashley Cole we have adequate cover for him (PvA/Bertrand). But for Terry and Lampard, not so.
  7. Yeah! LOL. All they've said he's injured.. Nothing else! BBC suspected a calf injury but it's been neither confirmed/corrected by Chelsea
  8. Well.. Ronaldo said, that's the one competition he wants to win before he retires, so I think it's pretty big over there
  9. I hate how the club is telling us NOTHING of what's wrong with Zhirkov!
  10. Yeah agree with that, especially that last part. I'm sure having Zhirkov in the team would help him adapt too, mixed with Brana too. Might not be a bad transfer where it to ever happen. He's very versatile in where he can play, from attacking mid to right winger, I think he's left footed though - Lord knows we've got many of those!
  11. Can I suggest perhaps hiding the statuses of members in their posts? Sometimes when people have long statuses it hides words in their posts
  12. No way! I'd be pissed off if we had no representatives in the England squad! It would be very embarrassing being a top 4 club and not having anyone play for the England team. Even Arsenal have Wilshere and Walcott there.
  13. Yeah but it makes good discussion - Otherwise the forum would be quite dead
  14. Yeah I get that. But remember, Ballack was a free transfer really and Carvalho was bought at his peak, straight from Porto with Mourinho so he knew exactly how to use him. With Arshavin he'll come into a new team with a new manager with a hefty price tag too. Arsenal paid something like £20million, I'm sure they'll ask for a similar figure, so I don't see it happening to be honest.
  15. I wouldn't mind the Russian Meerkat coming to Chelsea He's a good playmaker and he can play on both wings too. The only problem is he's 29, but if he recaptures that form it could benefit us. I doubt Arsenal will let him go cheaply though and so we have the classic problem of paying too much for a player coming to the end stages of his career.
  16. Good to see Tony Adams - A true legend of club and country - singing the praises of John Terry
  17. LOL we love Benayoun here But yeah I heard he'd be making a return around April or so. Though a lot of football to be played till then!
  18. Agreed there. Desailly was a great mentor for Terry, on both being captain and a defender!
  19. Well that goes hand in hand doesn't it If they perform well then the supporters will be encouraged too. Give us something to be optimistic about something, because lord knows they haven't provided it in recent times. But that's irrelevent, our away fans never stop singing, they do it more than our home ones sometimes. I have every confidence in them singing their hearts out, so let's hope the players reward that with their efforts.
  20. Yeah that's what I was thinking was the plan when I heard about this (allowing myself to think hypothetically about it). They must've been playing hard-ball because they thought we were only after him, when they then heard of our "accepted bid of Kjaer" they must've panicked. The incentive for them to fly over it clear "take what Chelsea are offering, or we may not get anything after all". ChelseaDaft had the same idea, and I have to admit, it makes sense.
  21. Because this is us. It means nothing to clubs who are going through a bad spell too because they know we're more vulnerable away from home. This season has been great for mid-table clubs, Sunderland, Birmingham, Newcastle & Wolves have all taken points from us and so clubs who play us at home instantly feel a massive boost.
  22. That's because of a suspension.. 5 yellows and all.
