  1. Like Carlo said "nothing changes" The board is at fault for not appointing someone. Though this may simply come down to cost-cutting measures.
  2. What warrants that statement? Elemano is doing the role he's assigned to. Opposition scout. His job is to prepare a tactical brief on our opposition, no-one knows if he's doing that well or not. Carlo Ancelotti has come out and said his job hasn't changed, jut the job title. So let's stop hating on him, shall we? Though you're over all message is right. Steve Clarke embodies the role of back-room staff. If Carlo is to stay beyond this summer he should be given as much reinforcement at the back as he can. The suggestion of using former club legends like Zola is an iffy - Carlo needs as much support as he can from a top-class assistant manager. Hiddink is a first team coach and this would severely undermine Carlo so that's not a good solution either.
  3. Lol Harry Redknapp is an awful manager. Attack, attack, attack. That's all he knows. He has no knowledge of defending or tactical play, this despite having 3000 centre-backs. He's right though, we're not. A transitional period - as members defending Carlo have said - is when youth is intergrated into the main squad. This was the plan, when he entered the season with the smallest registered squad. And now? Now we have sent Sturridge, Kakuta, Bruma & Van Aanholt on loan & McEachran is 'too young'. A direct contradiction to what "the plan" was. Either that's the fault of the board for not singing enough players, or management for not recognising that this squad was not title challengers. Or even both.
  4. That's the dream for our youth system. Progress is yet to be seen though.
  5. Angry sex Nah, I just do really - Depends on what kind of loss it is really..
  6. Cudicini, for being a great servant of this club and being a crucial part of us reaching our first ever Champions League campaign. Technically it's Cech, but my favourite will always be Cudicini.
  7. Right you are FB. I think CA was referring to Luzi/Ivanovic/Alex/Bosingwa rotation. Terry would only be dropped for minor injuries, though I think Lampard is more likely to be dropped now and then as opposed to Terry.
  8. My favourite tribute.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVp-26rohVw&hd=1
  9. He sat on the bench for them on Saturday At least Van Aanholt has become their #1 left-back.
  10. Exactly. That's why I maintained we stick with him till the summer at least, at least when the players support you, they're willing to work for the team. All hope it not lost till it's evident they're not with the manager. The team's celebration after that Villa goal, when they all went up to Carlo was a great sight and symbol of unity.
  11. He won't drop Terry. I just don't see him growing the balls too
  12. Really should've have retired after 2006 or 09 like Henrique said. An absolute legend though, one of the best strikers to have ever played the game!
  13. Right guys, there was a seizure of some domains by US Govt for the Superbowl that just went in the US. ATDHE, FirstRow and RojaDirecta were taken but have returned with new domains, which have been updated. Suck on that Homeland Security!!
  14. Missed the first half of that Barcelona game because we had a leavers do at school. Had all kinds of prank texts of scores from 4-0 to them to 3-1 to us
  15. All too true! Until we promote Sturridge, McEachran & Van Aanholt (< wildcard) we won't be attractive to any youth prospect out there
  16. Main difference. CA still has the dressing room.
  17. Yeah! Espanyol were awful with their theatrics!
  18. Yeah, the great thing about Danny (to keep this on topic) is he's still young and wants to play for us. He said upon signing the loan deal, he wants to be part of our squad so he'll have no trouble adapting. I'm sure him and Torres can establish a great partnership, if given the chance.
  19. Allow me to explain. Torres is the replacement to Drogba. There's no doubt about it. However the system will not be the same for him as it was for Drogba because I see Sturridge coming in a strike partner once Drogba does go. I therefore see the diamond/Christmas tree being made to suit Torres primarily, because he will become the new main striker. The players we sign in the summer will be to support Torres. Since we're pretty much sorted in defence, the only thing missing is someone to play those killer balls to our strikers and that's who we'll be looking at. If we buy someone like Sanchez, I'll be very surprised.
  20. The posts you've chosen to highlight clearly show this thread is not as simply black & white as "sacked because we won't retain the double". There's points here which talk about how he can improve, what we wouldn't mind if Carlo changed.. ect. Like Kostas said, last years achievements, while epic as they are, masked problems/flaws that can be seen now. I stand by what I say when I say, stick with him till summer and then see what's happened/what will happen before/after that time.
  21. You don't pay £50million unless you plan to design your team around that player.
  22. An attacking midfielder to link the play. Not going to speculate on who, but the type of player should be the one who gets it in the final 3rd then makes the choice of which striker to play it to, as they'd be on either side of him (ahead). Sort of like Anelka did vs Sunderland.
  23. I don't understand how you can call fans "fickle" for being honest and providing a good argument.
