Agreed. I think the players in our midfield over-complicate their tasks at hand. They're more than capable of making a simple pass to their team-mates, yet they think instead of doing that we'd rather see them go off on their own run and lose out. We can only hope Villas-Boas will teach them the basics again, lord knows they need it. Enough of passing backwards too! We got so much of that shit last night, it was so annoying to watch, especially when we saw Torres crying out for a pass!

Agree, they play better football than us, despite their smaller budget. 2 reasons can be put down for that: 1. The influence of Brendan Rogers, who's a good manager and encourages them to play in such a way. 2. They do not have such pressures to be as successful as us. Of course they have to fight to stay in the PL which is a mission in itself, but unlike us, they can afford to drop points here and there (if you get my point?) But you are right about comparing us to the NT.

Good on Swansea. Rogers is a good manager and has done well to keep them playing well like that. On our Chalkboards, there's no real surprises..

Yeah, it's not evident at the moment. I was referring to that Telegraph or Guardian article where Villas-Boas talked about emphasis on off the ball tactics and making use of the full space of the pitch (which can be seen when the team spreads out)

Ah okay cool. I thought you mean you were laughing at people who were saying similar to you. But AVB is changing the team to his style, it will take a while as Eldo says. He's already buying young players to make up his team.

Yeah I agree with you in saying Ivanovic is a better defender. But because our system requires more attack-minded full backs than defensive ones, I'd say Bosingwa is much more effective. He's still got some work to do, but he's been a lot better in the last 2 games than he was before. Till we get a right-winger, Bosingwa will be first choice under AVB I think.
