  1. LMAO. A simple joke has become a headline like that.. Smh.
  2. But he did add: "Not me but the football club" Who knows what's going on here
  3. ESPN are reporting Roman & co are considering bringing in Benitez should they call time on André If this actually happens..
  4. That's silly lol. I understand the resentment towards the guys that cheated in that game, but Iniesta wasn't one of them.
  5. Indeed, he's hardly a c'nt. In fact his attitude is fantastic, just gets on with the game.
  6. Can Brazil rely on David Luiz? http://soccernet.esp...d-luiz?&cc=5739
  7. We've been really hated since Roman came and everyone kept saying we 'bought the league'. Just like we hate City now, because it seems they take most of our targets, the same happened with us when Roman first arrived and dished out the millions. People also blame us for inflating the transfer market when really that was Real Madrid in their first 'galacticos' era, and subsequently their second one. They also hate us because according to most clubs we 'have no history' and so we didn't deserve such a heavy investment. A really stupid notion, but there you have it, people often like to forget we were actually doing quite well before Roman. Consistently a 5th place team, and occasional 4th. We were always a challenge during the Bates era, unlike Manchester City. It's easy for us to hate City because they're doing what we were used to. I don't really blame most fans for hating us. But it's reassuring when most fans say "I'd rather Chelsea than United" or "I'd rather Chelsea get 4th than Arsenal or Liverpool". We're often the lesser of 2 evils these days Secondly, our board doesn't help. A lot of neutrals felt sorry for Ranieri & Ancelotti. In fact I'm sure they also detested us in the Mourinho departure because they did recognise the talent of that fantastic manager. While they were happy he'd gone (for their results) everyone knew it was because of Roman & his board. They say we ruin world-class talent like Shevchenko and Torres. Failing to recognise that we elevated the careers of Ashley Cole, Michael Essien, Didier Drogba etc. They don't like the fact John Terry's been our only academy talent to come through, in a long while. As the title says, rightly, Chelsea really do make it 'easy to be hated.'
  8. Fair do's to him saying he wants to play for a mid-level team. Unlike guys like Michael Owen who are content to be bench-warmers.
  9. Because whenever we do, Torres ends up going wide to the things. These guys haven't played 4-4-2 in a while and have forgotten how to do it. Plus Torres & Drogba have always played as loan strikers. Even when Drogba had a 'partnership' with Anelka, the latter was forced wide.
  10. Paha fair enough. But I'm sure if the fans who go can make it a real fortress then this could be really positive. I mean hopefully the club will be nice and not hike up the prices too much that it's an embarrassing location because it's noticeably empty every match. Hopefully this will also increase our commercial revenue too, Arsenal did well when they sold Highbury to make it a financial success.
  11. Well if rumours are to be believed, ever since Hiddink left Chelsea he's been advising Roman and the board, apparently he's been on the payroll to do it as well. Hiddink didn't take the hot seat at the time because of his obligations to being in charge of Russia. It was easy for him to come in with his calm attitude because on the backbone of Scolari the players would've welcomed anyone that, again, they could walk over. Furthermore back then, as you rightly said, Drogba was in his prime and we still had Lampard on form etc. The reason Hiddink wasn't chosen after Ancelotti is because Roman hand picked André because he wanted to take a gamble on a young manager that could be here for the long term. I'm pretty sure he doesn't enjoy this record of firing managers after the squad fails.
  12. I'm excited by a new stadium, if I'm honest.
  13. We scored 2 goals without Sturridge & Drogba?
  14. Sounds as naive as Modric's "gentleman's agreement" to be honest
  15. Lost in translation perhaps?
  16. It always brings me back to Scolari though. He talked about how players' conflict stopped his team from progressing, he wanted Drogba gone because Drogba was uncontrollable, even for a disciplined man like Big Phil. Perhaps if Abramovich had listened to him, Scolari could've nabbed the player power before it begin to grow after his dismissal. André's looked at how Carlo handled it, and Carlo didn't handle it well at all. He realised what happened with Scolari, so he tried to be the nice guy and they walked all over him. The manager has to be authoritarian, like Ferguson and even Wenger, like Mourinho. If he'd have been the nice guy they would've seen weakness in the 33-year old.
  17. Carlo tried the 'soft approach' and they took advantage of him. I think André's iron-fist was the right way to go in all honesty.
  18. His words about British media are proven true by themselves, lol.
  19. I'd be more alarmed about the Barcelona talk.
  20. From the bit about Cole, seems like he's settled on being a winger in the England set-up.
  21. That's because he seems to think he can accurately shoot from outside the box
