  1. Yeah it's not pleasing to the eye. If it continues and Sturridge continues to express his bitterness about this, it will impact his relationship with André. Rivals will have no hesitation in trying to acquire him either, especially the likes of Liverpool & City.
  2. Could've used Drogba last night. He knows how to close a game properly.. There's still question marks as to how we let them get an equalizer.
  3. He's in the u19 England squad that'll face Czech Republic on February 28th.
  4. ....well, at least there's something worse than yesterday to vent our anger at.
  5. Kostas you genius. But yeah I'm in favour of the three-thread system, look more organised.
  6. Ivanovic for me. Rock solid. Mata was class, as usual, though.
  7. Please fire Capello. It will be hilarious. ..Grown his balls far too late though.
  8. Yeah TheBigDrog is right, it's not 10yellows for a suspension.
  9. On the whole, most times, I kind of feel sorry for referees. In the last 2 seasons, especially, they've taken a lot of stick from everyone.. Media, managers, players etc. The problem is, there's no kind of adequate learning going on. Yeah we know they have a mini-performance review kind of of a DVD where they review each decision. But certain referees get a reputation because they keep making the same mistakes and what we see is the FA bottling the calls to have them ref the lower league/bring through new referees who are more adapted to the modern game. Rules also need to be clarified by the FA. Like the 'last man back', 'two-footed challenge' & 'violent conduct' rule. Because these interpretations seem to be changing week in, week out which doesn't help their cause any better than it should.
  10. Sturridge was doing no such thing. When Romeu came on it was 3-2 and United had brought on Scholes. We needed to bring on someone like Romeu or Mikel so we could keep United pegged back because there were enjoying too much space in the middle. It was the right call.
  11. If anyone can provide a download link for that individual goal, in HD and everything, I would be eternally grateful
  12. Ivanovic was brilliant. Must've shown André why he must be first choice right-back now. His defensive capabilities, his strength on the ground and his heading abilities are phenomenal. That missed chance by Torres all came from Bane's will to head that ball in the final 3rd. MotM for me.
  13. Indeed Peace. Malouda is, tactically, necessary. One wonders if that was André will continue this sort of plan, the problem is Malouda is not suited for the wings. It certainly makes the chase for Perreira seem a lot more logical last June when everyone was crying about it.
  14. He defends similarly to JT. Diving headers and trying to inspire something, like that last kick with De Gea saved. We have 2 attacking, ball comfortable centre backs in Cahill & Luiz.
  15. Can't verify these quotes, they're merely being reported on Twitter for now.
  16. I still back him in the long-term. He was unlucky today. I agreed with Sturridge off for Romeu, we needed some calm in midfield & Sturridge wasn't doing the required back-tracking. Still believe in André Villas-Boas.
  17. After that gem of a cross I thought his confidence would be sky-high! Then when the ball came and he took it past Evans I was like "HIT IT!" and then.... Ugh.
  18. I'm actually looking forward to this. André sounds distraught/angry as f'ck with the squad after this. I see some drastic changes coming.
  19. Ughhhh Malouda.. If you could JUST BE A LITTLE BIT SMARTER. He can do so much good for us if he just developed a better intelligence/will to learn the game!!
  20. You do have a point there I guess lol. And you're right about André, he's hurting. I hope he has a hell of a rant at some of these guys today, especially the ones in the middle. I predict Sturridge is going to get a bollocking for his shoddy back-tracking & then the pen give-away.
  21. That draw hit him, you could hear it in his voice in the post-match interview. It's a hard game to analyse (as Neville said), it was too open from us, especially at 3-1 up. Howard Webb certainly played his part in the f'ck up, but hmm..
  22. Just imagine if we hadn't signed him, we would definitely been down in 7th..
