Being regular scorers from set pieces is so underrated, it can carry you so much over a season
The old good Chelsea teams were great at it and Arsenal rely on it to an extreme extent. If we can be dangerous in open play and dangerous from set pieces we'll be a genuine menace that everyone will dread to play. How it should be.

Caicedo is the best player in the world right now never mind the best midfielder

Good news is that half of our starting 11 don't go on international break. Sanchez, Tosin, Chalobah, Enzo and Palmer. Usually players get 5 weeks off during summer, we just had 3 because of CWC so they'll get more days off. Fofana, Badiashile and Lavia should finish rehabilitation and be ready for Brentford. Garnacho will also train in Cobham to prepare. Cucurella and Caicedo only players with overload of minutes. So we need Hato and Lavia to step up.

Goodluck Nico, I hope you get what you want in the end. Don't let them treat you this way. 
For me personally worst day to be Chelsea fan since Mount got banner. 
Felt embarrassed and now again first because of atrocious referee help in the game and now the way club handled Nico situation.

Bottom line, we did not fix the spine as of now. No WC GKer, No WC CB, and no 2nd CB now that Levi is down for the season.
We also appear to have fucked up the AMF/No 10 buys.
Finally, I am still worried about balancing the books for UEFA. We damn well better have done so now with the Nkunku sale.

center back situation its a little bit problematic
we have a bunch of center backs and the board have big faith ta achepeomg and this is why we will not go for another center back
Chalobah is playing nice and Hato also can cover center back position.,

Hard to care about Simons, Garnacho, Fermin or whoever else when the two biggest problems in the squad are GK and CB, two positions with no rumours and the club don't give a fuck about, despite being the two things that would be transformational and genuinely elevate us if we sorted them out, instead we're losing our minds looking for squad depth in positions we already have/had reasonable options.
Doesn't matter if we lose our on Simons and Spurs pay a fuck load for him. Its just squad filler we're stressing about here. That's why the club have not moved fast on any of it. They got the signings they thought were important done early.

I mean, if the guy is chill and doesn't give a shit about hardly ever playing, will train well and be a nice lad in the squad then it is all good fmpov, just a bit random and probably pointless - but if it is loan like some of you are saying then hey why not, whatever.
Its all just noise to distract from the fact we entered the summer with 3 foundational problems: GK, CB and ST. We've taken a stab at sorting out ST (bit of a risky stab but I don't mind it - looking promising so far) and totally bottled GK+CB. And then just generated a bunch of noise flipping and replacing players, removing players that were not difference makers and replacing them with players that are not difference makers.
Pretty disappointing imo, especially as it is CLEAR Maresca wants solutions here and now for CB, and imo it is super obvious he would never have picked Sanchez to be his GK either. Cannot be surprised or even mad at him if we have another bad patch this year, the directors fucked him.

It's a bit of a stretch describing Levi as a former Brighton player. 🙂

Honestly couldn’t care less about Simon’s, we need a CB not another attacker 

TBH, I am still a bit wary of how much we have been burned by attacking players from Bundesliga. No doubt there are good ones, but we seem to only buy the ones that need wide open spaces to be great.

Garnacho is a perfect Maresca player so for squad filler pretty ideal pick tbh
Much happier with him than Gittens tbh, he’s imo a better player, at something more resembling a price for players at that level.
