A bit premature imo, the new manager has barely been in the door for 5 minutes and Delap may end up important under him. I am not making my mind up on him until at least the end of the season...
If Cucurella and Rob Sanchez can turn it around when used right / given time, I am willing to give Delap a chance as well. He may yet have a useful squad role. He is a different profile to anything else we have had in years.

Should have got Senesi. Would have made the rest of the season so much more promising having both him and Sarr arriving.

Genuinely scared about what a good attacking team could do to us if we keep playing like this. So poor defensively that we could finish a first half down 3 or 4 goals and it will be beyond saving. Imagine what a full strength Napoli might have done to us with how we let their B team score.
I think Liam has promise but I'm seeing some serious red flags and urgent improvement is required.

Endorphins flying after that
Enzo ripping his shirt off in front of us
Shouldn't have been booked for that imo
Players getting booked for taking their shirt off was brought in because sponsors were crying like babies their product wasnt been shown - we dont have a sponsor

I am happy to give him credit for fixing it at half time, to an extent... But he's just fixing his own quite embarrassing error, if we're honest. I think the really ballsy move, that he didn't do but should have, would have been to bring on Chalobah in the first half itself and fully admit his error as soon as it was obvious - it should have been obvious before the game, but still, if he thinks these players have some miraculous ability to play that system with no coaching time, as soon as he sees they can't, the next minute he should be changing it if he's a decisive manager that wants to win more than anything.
That said, I am not in the 'hate Liam' club and find him somewhat likeable, if a bit cheesy and in need of a tiny bit of refinement in terms of how he talks to the media (he's clearly not being his authentic self compared to how you see him chatting in candid moments on camera imo). He is way better at talking to the media than Maresca was though, although he had some nice moments ("Who said that?" legendary etc).

Lukaku thought he would be the matchwinner, but we scored immediately after he comes in 😄

Probably the number 1 reason I hate VAR, even if it got decisions right more often I'd still be against it
Spirit and fun of football has been totally killed but everyone is acting like we have to continue with it. Football is unquestionably regressing year after year in terms of enjoyment live as a spectator.

I do like this more direct attacking instead of 50 sideways passes.

Absolutely clear pen both live and on review
Its just a broken setup we've got in this league.

Winning breeds confidence, and confidence if the leader is new is huge, if we do not start winning players will question and it will be a downward spiral from that point. Gus Poyet was talking about this, this morning on the radio, it only takes a few players to start asking questions and losing early is a really bad footing.
This game will be really tough, Brentford are on a high, we must take the game to them and this is a must win

Surely we go for Guehi, and maybe push Tosin out at the same time. One guy we can maybe sign reasonably cheap (or free on an agreement to start in summer), and another guy we got for free (I think) we can surely sell for a small bit of cash. That would be a proper and standard Clearlake manoeuvre.
I really like Murillo if he was available at a sensible price but NFO are a bit of a nightmare so I wouldn't really expect much there.
Music to my ears to hear talk of us actually looking at some of our fundamental problems for once.

Murillo is another good option, I'm happy if we are looking in the direction of both Murillo and Guehi, that should be the standard.

Certainly wont be a truly top side again until we replace Sanchez, been saying it for years, he genuinely has a high ceiling but the problem is his floor is so low and you can't win things consistently with a goalkeeper who on any given day will drop a series of huge howlers and no one is even surprised and no one would be surprised if it happened again the next game. Its just not a position you can get away with cutting corners or being creative.
