Its just the kind of thing we've seen Potter do over and over, rotate for the sake of it and play wingers in those positions while claiming it is not really a wingback position so they shouldn't complain etc (as he did with Sterling).

Got a weird feeling Potter will do 3-4-3 with Mudryk playing LWB or something.

We should be more resistant to the counter attack if Potter sets the team up properly this time, we have a really good group of fast defenders in the squad now.

IMO Todd and co set the strategy and identity they want the club to have, which includes at a high level that we should be an attacking side and indeed that we should play certain formation(s) which is strongly rumoured to be 4-3-3. I think Todd would expect to set this at a high level to coordinate that from youth upwards everyone is playing to the same hymn sheet and that all the clubs in the network he is trying to create are in sync with one another. They are hiring managers, recruitment staff etc to align with that vision, but are not on a day-to-day basis telling anyone that they need to do this or that. All just imo of course.

Don't really think Todd was impressed. Saw us revert to a formation he wanted rid of and all we got out of it was a scrappy 1-0 from a corner. If we lose against Dortmund I hope he we see someone appointed the following morning.

I hope that we are in conversations and the decision is already made that he's gone irrelevant of the result of the game vs Leeds. Hopefully just a matter of picking and negotiating with the right person. I can't believe that Todd and co genuinely still think he's the right guy for the job.

This will probably be the final proof of whether or not they really mean to stand by Potter. If they stand by him today then we've probably got this guy for years.

Enzo been poor btw, and to be fair to Koulibaly I'd say he's had a pretty good game.

Poor from all involved. Potter will still survive this, but it is getting hard to keep watching when it is so inevitable we will waste the potential of this squad.

Sadly it is true that Havertz is the best option we've seen so far up front. Mind you DDF will never get into form if we never give him a run.

Absolutely bizarre line up, why are none of our fast players playing? We will be back to boring old pass pass pass with no real threat.

It is very obvious by now that this is not true, players have not hesitated even slightly and are buying into the project, attracting talent is NOT a problem for us.

Some strong negativity around here about Poch but I would take him over Potter, he at least would get us playing an aggressive / effective press which atm is sorely lacking, although I'd prefer Luis Enrique - think he'd be a great manager for a player like Enzo. Think Zidane would 1. not come and 2. be a big gamble, despite his record.

AVB would do better with this squad than Potter is atm if our young pacey CBs stay fit, he'd play his super high line but we wouldn't get sucker punched all the time like when JT was being made to do it

We created good opportunities as the xG shows - just wasted them - but it took Potter about 60 minutes to get a group of players on the pitch that could sort of play together. The goal they scored was an individual error from our captain who should not have been playing, which was Potter's mistake. It is a bit harsh on him as ultimately the players have to kick it in the net but I 100% think at this point he has to be held accountable for results and if we got a new manager in we would go on a run for the rest of the season.

Think we're having low, modern Chelsea standards if we're saying DDF looked good. Demba Ba was better. Wesley coming back is good news though. Curious if Potter will drop Thiago for him, to let us play a super high line with Bads. Would be totally unfair but arguably, maybe, the right thing to do.

Are we not one of the worst performing teams in Europe on current form? Just terrible. Can't score can't keep a clean sheet. Lots of excuses - referees are poor in every game, new players gelling, bla bla bla - Potter has to go. End of. Accountability has to exist.

Honestly have to sack Potter after this. Not entirely his fault, of course, but we need to turn this around and we've tried buying players. Next step = new manager who has a history of winning and who's teams score a lot of goals.
