Personally, if we will have Felix+Nkunku+Havertz on the books I would prefer not to sign a centre forward in a rush in summer, better to play with them and wait for the right opportunity to come up to "complete" the team over the next couple of years.
-
Broja is over, this is back to the old days where young people that aren't outrageously good just wont get to play. He will be loaned and eventually sold.
-
Too late in the window now but yes would have made sense, tbh they could offer him an extension and then sell in summer if he is game.
-
I don't think we were ever going to pay the release clause and take on the tax implications. We just have to assume the club cannot refuse a deal that is equivalent for them as it would totally ruin their relationship with the player forever anyway.
-
If Kante can come back from injury and play the rest of the season, and we buy Enzo, people will fucking dread playing us.

feels like some kind of chatgpt bot being tested out or something, proper random

What tier are these sources? Still enjoy seeing the rumours are back, but would be more excited if someone I've heard of posted it...

Him ending up at City is exactly why I'm in favour of us just overspending to get him. They already took the cheat-code Haaland to guarantee a serious level of dominance, if we let them have the best CM in the world as well then come on what are we doing here? We're spending a lot of money to compete yearly in a race for 2nd...
-
Idk players do this kind of shit all the time, if he is on very low wages right now and his potential future is: stay on this contract for most of your career, or move to a bigger contract right now with a gentlemen's agreement we'll let you leave if a good bid comes in... Players tend to sign. And then get fucked over by their club later (see Harry Kane)
-
I keep waiting for some kind of reverse-age-cheating-scandal where it turns out he started playing professional football at 12 and lied about his age to get in the men's team
-
Hardly any time left now unless we're just paying the release clause, so I doubt it is happening sadly. Would have really made the rest of the season exciting. Still thrilled with the business we've done. Pleasantly surprised how much Boehly is not fucking around, the quality of what we're doing seems to have improved so much since summer when imo we made a lot of shitty deals.
-
Agreed on not selling Mount, but depends what he is asking for on a new contract. If it’s not realistic to keep him because he has outrageous demands out of sync with what we are trying to do then sadly selling him makes a lot of sense and would set us up well in FFP.
-
It is impossible to stop thinking about it
-
If we sell Mount it has to be for 75m+ based on the market now...
-
Sort of surprised there hasn't been a flurry of last minute Enzo rumours. My vague hope that we were going to last minute go and grab this guy is dwindling.
-
Lukaku is surely the worst transfer in history.
-
The two most feasible players I reckon, Zubi even has a release clause (but I assume he is known to be Madrid bound or smth as Spanish prospect, otherwise someone would have bought him already).
-
If Caicedo to Arsenal becomes even close to looking likely I bet we would swoop in again. Funny they've started going after all of our targets though, after we started doing it to them.

Opinion: Ziyech has improved, but rebuild means he has to go
Mhsc replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
You are the only person here with an agenda. Tbh I (and probably most people) don't even really think about nationalities (and definitely not continents) in football, but I'm sure we have had pretty amazing contingent of Africans throughout the years. There is a simple problem with Koulibaly that he plays like a man in his 40s, the rest of the players all did great things for Chelsea and even Ziyech who never really banged here I have a lot of sympathy for as he is obviously a very good footballer it just didn't work out for him here. I don't know why you are trying so hard to read something into this, we spend half of our time on this forum slagging off players and I'm sure a German could come on here and call us all fucking communists for hating on Kai Havertz and Timo Werner but it really wouldn't make a lot of sense would it? -
As we get closer to the end of the transfer window I feel more like we'll just be signing a backup RB and waiting until summer for everything else. It does feel like it would make sense to get Enzo done now and on a long ass contract for FFP reasons, but if we're not I'm sure the club have a plan for summer. We have a pretty good recruitment team in place now imo.
-
Huh, that's a very beautiful way of looking at it, where do you find such things?
-
I knew this rumour wasn't over with for the transfer window. Looking forward to one more rollercoaster of endless speculation from Twitter that everyone takes as gospel, as everyone calls Boehly a useless American cunt who doesn't understand our fine British sport before he somehow ends up joining Barcelona.
-
Probably we'll bid just south of 100m as a final bid and they'll reject it.
-
Enzo is the only midfielder I've seen that would force his way into even the best Chelsea teams from the past. We should definitely just buy him if we have so much money available. Just give him like a 10 year contract.
-
Agreed, should be part of a swiss army knife of formations we can play but should be at best 3rd choice after 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3
