Norfolkblue1961 reacted to NikkiCFC in Wolves 1-3 Chelsea
No point talking about schedule in PL. Especially team like United is known for having a great record against top teams and completely opposite against lesser side. Also last couple of rounds almost half league have nothing to play for.
AV was 11 points ahead of us 3 weeks ago now just 4. They have City and Liverpool last 2 rounds. Our games against them and United are 6 pointers. Last season we needed to beat Liverpool and United at the end and we did. Everything in our hands. We can easily finish 3rd.

What are you talking about? Arsenal used their best team and actually we missed 4 or 5 best players.

It won't be an easy task. Arsenal allegedly have the best squad in the league, they have form and confidence and momentum, Arteta will prepare for every detail to get the win, and players who aren't afraid of doing whatever it takes to ensure they come away with a result.
We have to match them in every way - and do it all without Caicedo.
Rosenior's response to tactical questions so far has been to brush them off and point out that his focus has been working on his players' mindset and attitude rather than anything too technical. Given his limited time on the training pitch, that's probably a sensible idea.
We can do this

Norfolkblue1961 reacted to Special Juan in Chelsea 2-3 Arsenal
Want to see us have a go at them in both legs, think we can beat them at home, whether we do or not remains to be seen.
A nice 2-0 to take to the Emirates would be ideal as they will come at us, lose the home leg and we have no chance what so ever

🗣️ Liam Rosenior: "If you start to prioritise games or think something's more important than the other, then you're not focused.
I don't care if it's a pre-season game. I'm doing it at my maximum. I expect that from whichever group I work with."
🗣️ Liam Rosenior: "I think I've got enough resources and enough tools with me now to win now. I've made that clear to the players. We're going to give our best shot on Wednesday."

Norfolkblue1961 reacted to Laylabelle in Chelsea 2-3 Arsenal
Haven't beaten them at home in 8 years in any comp...so hopefully. I just want us to win a trophy! But who knows..Long as dont play crap! End with 11! We have a chance why not

Norfolkblue1961 reacted to Special Juan in Chelsea 2-3 Arsenal
We aren't expected to win this over two legs, just give it a go and try and take a good lead to that shithole
-
Norfolkblue1961 reacted to Laylabelle in Chelsea 1-2 Aston Villa
And if we were to do that where does that leave us? Just floating around mid table for ever onwards as we sell off our best players to other teams who are capable of winning trophies.
We used to be able to attract key players and decent players for the team we were and where we were heading. Now its more how much money we can offer them..if nowhere else comes along with a better offer.
Whats also bit urghhh is since we last won the league closest we have come to the top is 15 points gap. Every other season been 19 and above...used to be a lot closer or seemed a lot closer. Times have changed

Nothing to say, this job is too big for Maresca and this is the price the owners are paying for bad bad strategy.

Norfolkblue1961 reacted to Thor in Chelsea 1-3 Brighton
You guys are acting like our whole team sucks because our CBs and GK aren't elite.
It isn't recruitment. We have plenty of good players. Our midfield is ridiculously good. Joao, Cole, Neto and Estevao is an insane attack. Our two starting FBs are world class.
Maresca just needs to go. Played boring ass football for so long with the level of talent we have. It isn't recruitment or BlueCo - this is a title winning team with healthy CBs/slightly better CBs; Maresca just isn't good enough.

Well deserved. Horrendous again.
The head honchos need to sack Maresca and change their thinking. End of story.
They can change the manager all they want but if they don’t stop making these stupid mistakes in recruitment we will get nowhere.

Norfolkblue1961 reacted to CucurellatheCat in 🏴 6. Levi Colwill
Enzo Maresca has revealed that Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill picked up an injury in training this week which could force them into the transfer market.
Colwill excelled for Chelsea last season, playing 42 times and being a key part of their possession-based style.
Chelsea returned for pre-season training on Monday in which Colwill picked up an issue.
"We had a problem the last two days with Levi Colwill that we don't know how long he's going to be out," said Maresca on Thursday ahead of their first pre-season friendly against Bayer Leverkusen
"Hopefully not too long but for sure it's a problem for us.
"It was the first session on Monday. Just in the last minutes of the session, he felt something."
