Chelsea are weighing up a potential move to sign an Arsenal player in the summer transfer window, and it’s not as impossible as you might expect it to be.
The club are looking into transfer plans now ahead of what is expected to be another busy summer transfer window for many clubs including Chelsea, who are looking to both buy and sell once again at the end of this season.
We’ve had some surprising info from our top source this week who says that Chelsea are looking in to an ambitious move to sign Riccardo Calafiori from Arsenal, sensing a potential opportunity to do so.

Chelsea have been big admirers of Calafiori for some time and were watching him closely at the 2024 Euros. You will remember strong links to Chelsea around that time and as we also reported on the site, he was a Blues transfer target.
However, he ended up going to Arsenal instead, and has been there since.
Our sources have heard that Calafiori is a situation that Chelsea are keeping an eye on because he’s not playing as much as he wants to be and also, he would rather play as a centre back than a left back. So there is a chance that Chelsea might see an opportunity to offer him a role as a centre back.
The 23-year-old will have three years left on his Arsenal contract come the summer.
Nothing advanced of course and just a situation that Chelsea are keeping an eye on. But an interesting one all the same.

It’s funny reading all these guys treating Douglas Luiz as some huge transfer. Fabrizio with a bomb emoji and others saying “Villa beat Chelsea to Douglas Luiz!” as if we tried super hard and wanted him really badly. 
This is a guy who can’t get into the midfield of a team fighting relegation currently and wouldn’t have been near our first XI.

But then they link us to a 20 year old who plays for a small French club where he has made less than 1 whole season’s worth of appearances in his whole career thus far. 
I don’t care how highly rated Jérémy Jacquet may be, we don’t need another kid, ffs. We need a seasoned veteran who comes in and instantly elevates us.
