We will never find out if he would relegate us either, so I won't lose my sleep due to lack of this knowledge personally.

If only there was a reason to that… anyway, let's buy another 10 random players who don't fit our squad for 100 million each, because they are fUtUrE SoCcEr SuPeRsTaRz. Brighton was once looking at them, so they must be, right?
-
Edit: Nope, the fact that Baba Rahman is still here is actually even more shocking
-
Well, yes but no. In theory, sure, but you can't just ostracize group of players you consider movable and think it won't affect the rest of dressing room. They are still friends are intelligent enough to know they can meet the same fate as well. And transfers are not so straightforward. Fact club wants to move a player doesn't mean it will 100% happen. Not to mention what happened with Zyiech just recently. I always laughed when Potter was defended with "integrating youth", but where tf Carney, Noni and co are is good question. They may be not quite ready, but apparently everyone, led by owners, had given up the season anyway. And if they are waiting to get a chance in satellite club, well, they may not see it until they careers are over.
-
Yeah, when it comes to refereeing it's always Brighton who are worst-affected 😶
-
Bruno clearly escaped the dumpster fire here.
-
Wonder if there is a single decision by the board since the takeover, that had actually worked out how they imagined it would. Must be utterly confusing and frustrating to them. btw. just realized Costa is still active player on top level lol
-
Shit always fall down the ladder - if the owners had openly admitted they are fine with giving up the season in September with simile on their faces it's not surprise players aren't giving a damn anymore.
-
You may have a point, but I guess the fans are determining and I don't think it's a bad thing. We are borderline circus at the moment already and each another decision of the board sparks the mix of laughter and tears, so with Benitez who is sort of literal meme here, I guess we'd literally explode or raid the offices 😂

I said he has experience, not that he is a good manager 🤪 Bruno is coaching staff member, Lampard was an actual manager, so yeah, he has some experience - knows how organize work, how to handle pressure, how to handle press, how to talk to players and won't get caught with easiest of tricks pulled on him. Basics. May be not great, but at least not lost in the dark. Still think he will be taken bit more seriously than Bruno with all respect, and perhaps Potter as well, so will take some pressure off from player's minds. Yet I'd of course prefer proper manager. I read see this kind of opinions more and more often recently and can't resist the feeling it's not quite true. We are not PSG/Madrid kind of starlet affair due to thank god quite cautious recruitment in terms of mentality. Being depressed/unmotivated due to internal issues at the club, lack of leadership, clear plan, atmosphere and energy is quite different thing, than having one's head in their ass. This is generalization ofc, but we are not the team of 26 Dembele's in his prime shithousery phase (and actually luckily avoided buying him after all).

If I was to be super optimistic, it depends on how you see things - if Nags/Enrique declined joining now (there was such rumor) or the board got fixated on the mission of destroying the club aka looking for someone more adequate for long term vision we need a caretaker till end of season anyway. Whatever Bruno had to do, Frank may be do better just due to his experience and there may be no expectation for him to actually do anything other, than not getting relegated. Also, I suppose Bruno could not really fancy being a scapegoat or taking the responsibility and the club legend was open to take one for the team as he don't really care and it can only help him if he decides to continue pursuing managerial career. This also points towards fact, that board is not expecting getting back to fight for Europe this season and it's not a first time they are giving up on results. Anyway, I'd guess Frank is supposed just to be here, not really attempt any miracles.
-
Yeah, the "backroom staff" seemed to contribute a lot to Frank's demise here - the training was subpar and injuries amount frightening. Hope he won't go full on to returning to this bunch.
-
Today's news is Messi pushing for Enrique at PSG, so I hope they know what they are doing. We will be in position of way less power when the carousel starts after the season.
-
I don't really buy the concept of another interim manager, unless of course, Bruno said one game is enough and people being interviewed are refusing to take over before season's end. If it's about TB and BE having ideas again, it's utterly frustrating. But still I'm amazed how three or so folks are pushing their very shallow and somewhat dumb agenda and momentarily it's being reprinted all around the world as facts or "expert analysis".
-
Usual suspects already debating about how wise and reasonable Lampard's appointment is. Tl:dr - He's english 😂
-
I'm indifferent to Lampard tbh, what I'm worried about is "owners going on extensive search". Yesterday we've got news that their understood their mistake and decided to stay away from making decisions about things they have zero knowledge about and leave it to football people. Why change the reasonable stand day later and continue to push for their own version of Ted Lasso again? On several occasions had I tried to find some deep wisdom and smartness in their actions, but let's face the truth, there's none of that there. If we pass on Enrique and Nags and go back to "vision" and "long term" bullshit with Potter 2 (or De Zerbi, because they wanted Brighton but we were next best thing for sale) I'm done.
-
And what is Lampard supposed to do here anyway? We need someone to hit the ground running and turn the ship around. If it's just to have a body on touchline and take the hits to lose 10 games that left, just stick with Bruno, not the enlogment of Potter's suffering.
-
Just no more english managers anywhere near the club anymore please. After all the shit we seen with Potter, it's clear that journos and a lot of fans are losing any grasp of reality with their fella at helm. They are already trying to push Rodgers here.
-
What's weird? I feel like we are discussing potential coming of some non-existing perfect manager most of the time. Ancelotti won't come, Pep won't come, Tuchel lol, Allegri and co are not the level, so how could our choice improve? After the season, we have few TOP clubs looking for manager. We got luck AF that Nags and Enrique became available, as a while ago we were discussing mostly Poch.
-
What are they even doing? We won't have anyone better available in the summer than we have now, except for PSG and Real looking for managers by the time. Pep is not coming here, so what's the deal? Appoint Lampard to lose more games while Pat & Mat are on to "exhaustive search" of another Potter-like abomination of appointment, but even more miserable? Fuck me.
-
Bruno is cooking, more positive about this than anything for previous 3 months.
-
…By penalty in 95th min. Once Chelsea, always Chelsea apparently.
-
He will heal some day for sure. However I wonder whether Leicester are actually aware of their interest in Potter or it's just a PR stunt of Law-like folks. Not like his Chelsea stint was a best ad for his services and Leicester is still bigger shoes, than Brighton, with rather ambitious take on things.
-
I am not. He's well loved here, so it would be very hard to back off from his appointment. Plus, no reason to do him dirty and throw him under the bus of 10 difficult games and falling out of Europe, pure scapegoat it would be.

"Great dressing room atmosphere", "shocked players calling their representatives late at Sunday night" 😅
