  1. Just imagined falling into coma one beautiful autumn day and waking up with Poch as Chelsea manager 😂
  2. I was wondering if any official gesture towards fans given the current situation will be made and I guess this is it. I understand this is largely symbolic, but still welcomed gesture.
  3. Moment to part with Kante is long gone, no point in selling him now for 12 million or whatever. People are mad that his contract is being extended, but I don't quite get it. He is still useful asset to have, club legend and his personality and work ethic is something very desirable to have in the team right now. Maybe a luxury player for 3 years, but we can afford this luxury, so why not.
  4. How to demotivate players, ruin the dressing room and generate even more tension at the club 101
  5. Boehly said multiple times that player's contracts are in large part dependent on performance and achievements. Wonder if Potters is alike, or he just slapped 50 million on him just for having a privilage of this manager coming to Chelsea. If so, I'd take the cash and run if I was GP, zero regrets.
  6. Meanwhile people at Chelsea are putting Arsenal as their role-model. That's something I cannot understand since I heard "buh ArRtReTa!" stuff. We were way above Arsenal level to begin with, had totally different set of issues, Artreta has completely different background than Potter and it's not like Mikel made Arsenal some kind of stable, solid serial winners. As things stand, it took them 5 years to win shit. Nothing, zero, nada. So wtf kind of reference point is Artreta? Boehly and Potter want to ruin the elite team and suffer for years just to have a 3/4 of season when we do halfway decent? Sometimes it's hard not to think they are seriously mistaking Chelsea for Brighton.
  7. "Let's take Jimmy and create a company that puts together computers and suffer, because that's what Steve Jobs did and now look where Apple is! And my aunt said it's a great idea, trust me bro". No way it's serious, otherwise "the board" would be a band of dumb madmen. And they seem rather successful in business, so it's hard to believe. And yeah, "Pep's support", 100% worth relying on as strong Chelsea is in Pep's best interest of course 😂
  8. Yeah, wonder who is leaking the "make or break" thing, as it's quite obvious, that - if it actually has source inside the club - boys will do the right thing. May as well let him go now, instead of wasting another two games.
  9. Law posting anything that has a shadow of doubt over english manager means the situation must really, really, really serious and that's a great news.
  10. We could, we just didn't because Boehly doesn't want "player power", just hunger…
  11. Not like sticking with him and his Brighton staff wouldn't 😅
  12. We are coming back to the place we've been before - with shoddy defense, Kepa's confidence is ruined and more goals are coming in and errors made, further ruining his confidence and performance. Huge advantage of Mendy is that he seems way more stable mentally. And let's not forget part of this howler and Kepa getting frozen is Enzo, who is apparently starting to consider himself Mbappe CEO and director executive of CFC, taking the ball from Kepa and passing it to Tottenham's player.
  13. I'd really like someone to explain me the argument that "Potter is building for future" stands in opposition of " getting results now". I mean… wtf is he supposedly building here? The only sign of "build" is absolute lack of mentality seen in players and worryingly deterioration of some of world's greatest talent. No chemistry, no particular system, no particular style of play, getting tactically battered against even lowest-ranking opposition, same squad, where people eyeing for exit are starters, desperate changing things around… Youth was only played when GP was absolutely forced to do so. It doesn't look like "developing" anything for shit. What is not surprising giving Potter's history - pushing group of low-level players to achieve lower-mid-level of game is entirely different beast, than managing elite club rebuild. Where is that "great eye for talent" that was supposed to cover his lack of ability? Our coaching staff doesn't really look like providing the top training in league tbh, let alone the kindergarten level of tactical sophistication we present now. Not to mention Potter's media presence is utterly frustrating, with him being super cocky and arrogant only when it comes to defend his incompetence, not where it would be actually be welcomed. Aside of lack of elite manager on the market bar Tuchel, I'm seriously starting to think that Boehly is trying to view football through baseball glasses - in "american" sports teams are relying on individual talent far more and manager may actually be somewhat superficial figure. But he had enough time to notice it doesn't quite work cause' getting mid-table manager is giving you mid-table results, no shit, how came, and "removing player power" is bs idea in top team. I'd also really like to know how Boehly sees forcing sub-par, non-likeable manager having nothing to do with Chelsea, without any achievements and on a good way to ruin the club on fans for years to come as a great move sport and PR wise. I wonder why he didn't go for Bielsa, as given this line of thought, his Leicester campaign makes him greatest manager in history of sport. At this point I'd have nothing against appointing U21 staff as caretakers. At least our academy staff is able to win games, you know.
  14. Yeah, dude is like 15 games late to the party and luckiest man alive that Boehly had burnt the bridge with only elite replacement on the market. I wonder where is a potential win for Potter as a manager in this situation, except his fat paycheck - he is generally hated, bar Law and co, if he is sacked, he is done at top level that he never actually reached, and let's say this dumpster fire is dragged because Boehly can't admit he was an idiot - if it takes Potter 4 years, relegation battle and miserable seasons to make a top 4 contender after acquiring world's top talent a top 4 contender again, will people really let themselves to be tricked to think it's a success? Whatever success the champion of excuses will (unlikely) achieve, people will always be somewhat right to say you could have a dog on the touchline and achieve the same with this squad and money…
  15. LIke I've said before, doubt he is getting any job near the top leagues after (hopefully) exiting from here, and that says much about where we are now.
  16. Not much expectations here, I would just really like to see the team look like they came to big Chelsea game, not 9-5 job that sucks the soul out of them.
  17. Aren't our preseasons usually terrible? I may remember wrong, but year after year it's like complete mess and we are getting on track three weeks later. Yeah, it could be a factor to starting the season wrong, but connection between preseason and bad form in late February seems a big stretch to me still. Hope it's made up by boulevard press or some disgusting pr stunt, but idiots are everywhere, esp. around sports like footy. No place for this shit, serious effort should be done by authorities to track down those idiots.
  18. Just look at things Jorghi is saying to press since moving - People say Potter has no mentality, Jorghi is praising Artreta winner mentality. Boehly's project is all about "vision", Jorghi says he likes that Arsenal has a great vision and they know how to materialize it and so on… too much to be a coincidence imo, he must have been rather bitter here in recent times. Thought this at first too, but I think it was worded or written down in some awkward way, or at least hope so - Tuchel complained about preseason too and it was all about sanctions/takeover/sacking Cech… Still feels like shots fired blindly. On the other hand… Geez, preseason was… pre season! It's premier league, pretty much any manager could turn things around six times since then. And since we have shifted half of squad after the preseason, would it really be such a huge factor now?
  19. No idea if prime troll or serious 😂 As per Arsenal's fanpage: Jorgi is taking 5 subtle stabs at Potter a day since leaving just for fun, makes one wonder even more about the "great atmosphere" here.
  20. It is accurate, but is it THE problem tho? If I was to pick players actually struggling with the league from current squad, I'd say 1)Zyiech 2)Havertz 3)Lukaku, so it's bit unfortunate. Felix took like 15 minutes to adapt, Badman maybe 35. Yes, we need to build some chemistry in the team, that's obvious, but it doesn't address the elephant in the room that players have zero motivation and are getting tactically battered by every opponent + in addition to not being clinical enough, there's no idea in sight how to actually produce goals except for waiting for some unnamed incarnation of Pele coming here and magically solving all the problems. Today I also read that now the "rough preseason" is the cause of current situation, so it's hard not to laugh at this shit. Since we've got injured players back, the excus-o-randomizer now went from "injuries" to "players needing time (lol) to adapt". We all see where the problems lie, so I'd much prefer us (as a club) to move from the diagnosis and trying to shift the blame onto Roman, Tuchel, Marina, Mount or whoever to actually solving them, and this is the part that for now seems unfruitful af. I'd also be interested in some broader read about ideas of our new "mentality coach" from rugby team, as I had expected some instant, Mourinho-esque morale boost, meanwhile literally all our players look like disinterested, depressed Moomins to the extent where it's actually hilarious to watch them.
  21. Fun to read people around twitter are like "if we lose THIS Potter should go", despite we we lost/draw to much worse teams a while ago, so why this particular game and not previous/next 10? I wonder if the derby factor will make us anything better, given our recent incomings probably don't care much about Tottenham being Tottenham. But what is worse, those games tend to be rather harsh - hope it won't end up as another set of injured players.
  22. English sports journalism is baffling at times. "Sack Sarri and appoint random english man" campaign didn't quite work, but it's very funny he had apparently deleted the comments that called him out on his hypocrisy. We see players loving their time here in "quite good atmosphere" in training videos and every piece of game when their body language is shown lol I also can push any type of agenda I like with a few thousands of Twitter minions and "I'm told", "It is understood" and "It's heard that" stuff.
  23. If you ever wondered how much the talk about "great dressing room atmosphere", great training sessions and player's endless trust is worth… Those guys look like they were about to explode with excitement (click for video):
