  1. Need to save this for outcry of people wanting to sell him to Barca for 0.99p after first game in Chelsea shirt because he want pull prime Mbappe in first 90 seconds on the pitch 😂
  2. I generally agree, but still can't believe people are seeing Christensen as some incredible player we should miss. He was HG, that's an advantage, but come on. And I'd laugh so hard how people would be bashing Rudiger with contract higher than KK, who'd play shit after TT departure. And extensions of bottom of the barrel players weren't just to make it look good on books? Actually Barkley was quite a precedence to just throw money out, earlier board was looking to squeeze something from their purchases at all cost.
  3. I know this board is one huge sinusoid, but it's not like Cucu was "made to be bad" by people. I could agree something like that being said about many of our players, but Cucu was actually horrid defensively and offensively, absolutely headless and blind to unmarked players, very expensive and to add insult to injury, actually worse than supposedly horrible Alonso he was supposed to replace. And personally I don't have much hope for him to suddenly impress here - he didn't under Tuchel, who wanted him and he didn't under Potter nor Lamps. I don't remember any single game of him being actually impressive, hardly remember any where he was decent, so not really seeing a reason to play it down now.
  4. I'll say it 15th time probably, but of what I remember even at the time it wasn't much of a secret he wasn't really being bought to kill it on the pitch. He was at most squad player but much like a PR person in the first place. He had some nice games, but first of all made us a name in US, well-spoken and with good ethics was influencing our image quite positively. Shame he fell off the cliff here, not a first one and not the last one to do so, but still I think we profited quite a bit from his stint here, so no harsh feelings for the guy.
  5. Makes one wonder how on earth Cucu managed to avoid the purge and somehow sticked here…
  6. Yeah, Nintendo would be awesome, bam and you are sued for just looking at the players with the logo lol
  7. Dude hadn't yet recovered from Potter sacking and now this, hard times for him. edit: Mounty "feels at home" already, so good luck I guess 😂
  8. In recent times we had quickly learnt to enjoy the tiniest of glimpses of positives and it's generally good things, but drawing big conclusions based off those glimpses isn't. Thing with Mudryk in particular is that people seem to think he is like way younger than he actually is. He indeed has some potential, but he is actually older than Bellingham and Camavinga, so should we really get excited that he had kicked the ball straight because he is in development? I keep fingers crossed for him, but playing for Ukraine in particular in youth tournament is bit different animal, than pulling off the same stuff in PL twice a week. But if this tournament is what he needed to step up, than good for all of us, football knows this kind of stories. Unlikely, but it happens.
  9. Gambling on youth prospects would be quite smart and reasonable branch of business, bar the single tiny detail the exotic youth we are hoarding is not cheap AT ALL. Prices we are paying are what others are paying for youth that had actually proven to have potential and have a few transfers on their account already. Buying clean slates that need to stay in exotic leagues few more years for price of half-developed players after stint in Europe seems to defeat the purpose. Maybe it has to do with satellite club thing, still the potential success rate of this recruitment is yet to be judged, but nothing to suggest it's something to be super hyped about.
  10. Mbappe would never come because hopefully he wouldn't be offered to. I said it already when we were linked with Dembele - what I really appreciated with Romans reign was that our transfers were often not on point sport-wise, but we seemed to only be after players with certain mental profile, eg. no starlets and knobheads to put it short. And I hope this kind of policy will continue under Clearlake. I don't care if this bloke would singlehandedly put us in top 4 (what I doubt, it's not farmers league) - No CEO-of-football Mbappes, no Neymars, no Dembeles please. This kind of people is poison to a project and I guess Real, Barca and PSG know it very well.
  11. He seems a good fit there. Never really had a true Chelsea mentality, so good move for both sides I guess.
  12. Still the guy was struggling to perform. And then he got good and played very well. For two months. And then we got him. Journos who are knowledgable in La Liga claim he has great potential, still have huge reservations on him. I'm curious to see how he does for us, but not sure it solves our struggles right here right now. Because of Roman or Mou sentiment. Or want to put their families in London. Oh well…
  13. Let's not forget Puli's marketing potential faded a bit, but it's still there and it's worth quite a bit. Will be a good buy for any team below the top of the top level.
  14. So did Zyiech move to Saudi League fell completely? Failing a medical there seems quite an achievement, so do we have a ticking bomb on our hands or did they decided to back up this way? This is so absurd. You deserve more than written goodbye, so I'll invest 180 seconds of my precious time to dump this shitty phone video, where I read muddy statement my PR people wrote, that contains zero actual essence and comes down to "I'm leaving because I decided to do so" vibe. Completely unneeded imo, but sums up the matter pretty well.
  15. Those training kits kinda remind me of those random clothes you can put your own print on for 9.99. Look better on photos from actual training, but still. I actually miss our 19-21 kits, the patterns could probably be executed better, but at least they weren't just the dull, plain stuff.
  16. For 85 million? Not my money, but it tames my enthusiasm quite a bit. Why should we? Can't shake the feeling we are paying the usual Chelsea premium, even if there is no other firm bid and, if you think about, we are probably the best thing that happened to Brighton lately, completely out of the blue. Starting with outlandish Cucurella fee, the Potter circus, deals that were rumored but luckily fell apart… the amount of cash we are pumping there is crazy, yet they won't miss a chance to rip us even more. Let alone Boehly making this team our role model in the beginning of his reign for whatever reason.
  17. Like seriously, Todd could be better off just buying Brighton as a whole…
  18. Every time we are supposedly after some talent that was easily acquirable by just looking at any FM wonderkids list three years ago for 1/5 price I wonder whether we actually do have a scouting department in place. This kind of players very rarely actually work out for top teams, hope it's just twitter noise.
  19. No more business with Ajax or at least all the warning lights on when doing so please 😂
  20. I just find it funny how sinusoidal opinions on our players get, while truth is usually somewhat more balanced. I'm happy for his international performance, but remember his games here, so I'll be delighted if he will manage to perform anything like that against any league team as the difficulty level raises significantly here.
  21. So now we went from considering Mudryk absolute shit to considering him great, because he does well in U21 tournament, which is pretty much the same thing as PL football, if I understand correctly? The Chelsea thing 🤣
  22. Yeah, gotta love it, Kepa was identified liability for years, to the point of club buying Mendy to get by somehow, yet we prioritize buying random Brazilian children in bulk instead of decent keeper. Kepa can perform very well (until he doesn't), but he has some major weaknesses, that won't go away no matter what he does, so it's a huge and strange gamble here, given circumstances.
  23. We got this this guy kinda as a random grab from clearance bin, he put on a solid shift for years, stepped up when it was need to step up and got into slump as everyone else. No harsh feelings really, can kinda understand he was looking for a change.
