I remember. I could obviously understand the club not able to get 2 new LBs, but the stick I got for saying (not from you but others) that we needed 2 LBs and that Alonso/Emerson were NOT even a workable (forget okay/decent/good) 2nd LB, I just could not understand that. But well, each to their own. For me, a 2nd LB is paramount. Chilwell has been great, but he will have a dry period which might actually be a result of overload. And God forbid there is an injury. I mean just look at TAA, out for a month. Can you imagine what we would have to deal with if chilwell got a month long Injury. Back to conceding 3 goals a game. Our left hand side becoming a free way for opponents. Just can't let that happen.

He is not wrong. He played the more attacking pivot player in Leicester's title win (DD being the anchor) and even with us, he played as the more attacking/forward one with Matic being the anchor (Conte's title). Its actually one with France that he plays as the anchor of the pivot.

Personally, Jorginho should be the first one out. Has no place in any team in the PL. Serie A is a very different league and he may dominate games there, but not in the PL. Kante vs Kova is a strange one. Kante has shown he is still the man, but only when fit. take into other things like Age, then it becomes obvious who we need to sell. On the other hand, Kova is so.... irritating. You can see a WC player in there, somewhere, but he performs like someone playing within themselves. I mean given how Gallagher has perfomed, what are the arguments that he cant replicate his output and his other qualities. I would have a midfield options of Kai/Mount Rice/Gilmour/Ampadu Mount/Gallagher/RLC Rice, Ampadu have shown they can be good pivot players too.

Not sure. He can be a good no.2 plus a 3rd/4th choice CB. If we get rice we will have Rice, kante, Kovacic, ampadu, gilmour, Gallagher, mount, Kai, barkley, rlc, jorginho as the mid options. FL will need to make some really tough decisions on whom to sell and keep

He was always inconsistent and should not have been a part of the squad this season imo. Let's hope he stays true to his nature and gives those 5-10 games of 8/10 performance because knowing English clubs, even that would be hyped up and increase his market value

Yup. Has flown under the radar, but everytime he has taken the field, has looked really good. Specially his link up play, which I would have said was sub-par last season, but this time around, has been great.
