  1. Thank you. I hope his quality shines through. One thing is for sure, the squad simply does not complement each other.
  2. There are different types of AMs. Players like mata and kdb are the lynchpin of the attacks of their teams. Who control the flow of the game. Kai is given a no.10 role, a floater with either of the 2 of kova, kante, jorginho behind him, none of those 3 are going to be anywhere near to the quality of a ball playing CM who can get the mid and attack in sync. That responsibility HAS to be with Kai, specially as a floater, otherwise we should play him in a false 9 or on the wing. Also, I got nothing against Kai, but I also kno that if mount put in that performance yesterday, he would have been ridiculed, trolled, abused. If Kai is 21, so is mount.
  3. Hazard was 21 too, did not set the league on fire, but the talent was apparent by just looking at him play once or twice. Nothing so far with havertz.
  4. What did he do well under possession? Also, he is supposed to be the lynchpin of our attack, who is supposed to connect the mid and attack. If he keeps losing possession 50% of the time he touches the ball, it will be hard for us to keep possession
  5. Can you give a bit of summary on him, what are his strengths? His weaknesses. Asking this of you with the assumption that you might have seen more of him in German NT and German league. So far he has looked average to me. His only saving grace is his movement which seems world class. On the ball, he has looked clueless which is a weird thing to say for someone who is given a free role as a no.10 in a team which has massive defensive issues, so for me we simply can't have a luxury player or a free roler. Again, to me it looks like he is someone who would thrive having a DLP like cesc behind him feeding him balls, using his movement rather than someone who will actually make that defence splitting pass. Also, are these just settling issues or is he actually that poor in 1. Ball shielding 2. Decision making 3. Hopelessly left footed For someone dubbed as a "generational talent", his basics (specially ball shielding) seems to be very very poor.
  6. I know it was directed at me, hence why I replied. Also, nothing in my post remotely points at him "writing him off". It was a fair analysis of someone who is touted to be one of the best young talents in the game, and hence comes with a massive set of expectations.
  7. Did you miss the part of "Hope I am wrong and it's just settling issues, but so far, average at best". or can't "TC" even write about how he has actually performed so far. And simply sing lyricals for him? also, can you show me exactly what part is "writing him off". Please.
  8. Not at all impressive. Poor ball control, slow in transition and decision making. Looks hopelessly one footed with trying to shift everything on his left (reminds me of matic in that sense), and his turn is so slow (slower that RJ's). Have not seen anything yet to show he will be a world beater. Which is weird since we have changed the formation, the way we play and everything has been changed to suit HIM. Looks like a definition of a luxury player, and not even a good luxury player, so far. Hope I am wrong and it's just settling issues, but so far, average at best
  9. What the fuck is Kai providing us? We have had to change our whole formation for him, where as he is so one footed and keeps wanting everything on his left foot, which would be fine if he was atleast quick in doing so. He has a higher turn span than a freaking Boeing 747. Sorry he has not looked worth 40m, forget 100m. And definitely not a player worth changing the formation and making us looker shitter.
  10. I am mentally prepared for another embarassment, so bring it on!!! God, all my favourites seem to be sucking the life out of me. Clippers and now Chelsea. Oh well...
  11. Not for me, I have been a staunch supporter of FL, but tell me what is there to support now? I would rather have the 4-0 performance in the defeat to United than this shit show that we are playing this season. We don't have a system, we don't have tactical awareness. Its just going bad to worse. As for palace, of course, they won't change the way they played successfully. But that's what my point is. Any team that tries to take the initiative and take us on, wins the battle. I can see us struggling massively this season because except for Burnley, whu, Newcastle and palace, I don't know any team that would simply sit passively.
  12. I can see your point, but can't accept it. Let's be honest, we were dominated by Brighton, we were dominated by wba for 45 mins and we were dominated by soton for more than 2/3rd of the game. Let's not even go to pool. Palace was either an out of the world performance from us, or a shit showing from them. Also against United, they had 20% of the ball, it was a classic counter attacking performance. Palace have always played passively, sitting deep and then countering. As much as I would want to believe you, I just can't based on all the rest of our performances and the way palace normally sets up.
  13. Point with top 4 being a barometer of success is that, we basically accept mediocrity. Even right now, with a bad start to the season, we are still 6th. Because the league as a whole is shit. No consistency whatsoever. That's the only reason, I would rather have a definitive aim in mind. 80 points for me. If we can't get 80 points, it's a failed season, irrespective of where we end up, because the position will be determined how the rest of the teams play. We need to look at ourselves. For me, it's 80 points or sack.
  14. I feel we will give him the season. But just this season. Irrespective of where we finish the season, if we don't get 80 points, he should get the sack. No matter if he gets top 4 with 72-75 points.
  15. In an ideal world, we will have that back 5 playing week in and week out. But don't think that's going to happen for even 20-25% of the games, be it due to injuries, exhaustion, suspensions, or something else. After 50+ game, a manager atleast needs to have a pulse of his team, needs to set up accordingly and play to their strengths. What were we doing from 2-0 to 2-2 and then the from 3-2 to last minute was beyond me. We made soton look like Barca, that was not just on the defence, it was on the mid, the tactics and the overall lack of balls from everyone on the pitch right down to FL. Personnel, is one part, even Silva makes mistakes, but the way we dealt with the pressure, that is worrying, and I don't see how that changes.
  16. There are moments which change you and your perspective. Our play at 2-0 up and then our reaction to going 2-1 into HT was it for me. And I don't see things changing, it seems to be a confidence issue among the squad where we just crumble at the slightest amount of pressure. And FL just seems to be unable to change it.
  17. It has been replaced by the realism that we have a bunch of pussies in the squad with no leadership and FL just does not know what he is doing. That single performance was an absolute sucker punch
  18. It was a good defensive performance, because CP were way too passive. They did not attack us, they were happy to simply counter, which we snuffed out. When teams really get at us, attack us, we are so fucking shit. Conceded 3 against wba, conceded 3 against soton. Combined those 2 won't be scoring 3 or more goals in a game in more than 5 matches all season in PL. Jorginho is shit when attacked and put under pressure, Kanye just runs like a headless chicken. Kai is a luxury player and needs a strong CM pairing and defence to thrive. Defence is a shsmble. Alright, we know defensively we suck, what have we done in attack? When teams press us, we can't even beat a league 2 teams' press. It's utter tosh.
  19. I have been one of the staunchest supporters for FL, but this is getting beyond ridiculous now. I don't get the tactics, I don't get the team selection of playing kepa and mount as a winger, I don't get the lack of confidence to take on soton, I don't get why we have changed our formation from a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 just to suit Kai havertz who looks okay when clearly our midfield options just are not suited for a double pivot. It's getting beyond embarrassing now.
  20. Per most sources yes. Simon Johnson for example so I imagine he won't be ready. Damn. Well, will need to score atleast 3 with Kepa in goal.
  21. True, but a different manager and very different tactics with a low block, good defensive cover with Kante-matic ahead of the CBs. Problem is when people said things like Zouma should be sold ahead of Rudiger, despsite Rudi being an absolute disaster last season and zouma being our best CB.
  22. If you believed our in-house expert, Rudiger is world class.
  23. I'm sure it will be his fault some how Same here 😂😂. Can't wait for "FL should have cancelled his tickets", "why did he even let Mendy go" kind of arguments
