This is pretty alarming. People in China who had recovered from the virus have tested positive again.

I've just been watching a talkradio video on YouTube about the live animal markets in China. Truly fucking obscene what's going on there and no surprise the virus broke out in Wuhan where there's a specially notorious market. If anything, Trump has been very diplomatic in just calling it the Chinese virus. As Dan Wooten said in the video, they have blood on their hands over this!

I don't want to sound cold, but what would be hard though? We lost 28,000 to flu 5 years ago and averaged out of years we lose about 17,000 a year, yet we almost take these loses as something which happens each year. Again, I don't want to sound cold, but if we in the UK can keep the numbers to somewhere near the high level of flu deaths we had 5 years ago and have the "herd immunity" that we need for the future, then as terribly sad as that number of loses would be, I would see that as good an outcome as we could hope for.
-
Numbers of deaths in the UK now starting to rise very sharply and at this rate we're heading for Italy and Spain numbers.

Not that everyone didn't already know - Mike Ashley is CNUT!

The Swedes were once renowned for being very smart and sensible to the point of being branded dull and boring. Now you seem to be run by complete twats doing their best to ruin your beautiful country.

Obviously the majority willl be in over crowded New York.

Possible number of infections are really just guess work. I was watching something last night with somebody saying the UK might already have had many millions of people infected but they showed no symptoms at all or very little.
-
I know someone who came back from a holiday in America in January and had all the symptoms of the virus. Both her and her hubby were pretty ill for several days but didn't need any hospital treatment.

Purely on the economy. As with us, the crash will only be temporary! We are very well oiled machines with lots of very clever people who know how to get things going, run things and get us out of difficult periods. Furthermore. This has been a genuine shock to us all. We'll learn from this and make sure that from now on we'll have large enough reserves of crucial equipment etc, ready for when the next pandemic strikes, which it will do at some point in time.

There"s much to come out when this is over and by all accounts China will not come out of it very well. Which do you trust the most - The free world with its free media or those secretive Commies? I know which side I trust the most!

Been watching OJ: Made in America - Storyville. I remember being glued to the nightly coverage of the trial. Thinking back, the sick verdict and even sicker reaction.to it, was when I started to move well away from the Left and so much of what it stands for.

Queuing patiently outside my local chemist (only 2 people allowed in at same time, which is exactly what we need. so well done to the shop) some brain donor walks up and asks what's going on and why people were standing so far apart. Sorry, but cnuts like this should not have children!

Forcing them to watch Millwall for 5 years would be better still.

Fortunately, at times like this most politicians, of all parties, have the basic common sense and decency to put party politics and points scoring aside. Yes, by all means scrutinise and amend/improve legislation as much as possible, as our parliament has been doing, but nothing more than that. Outraged to see a gang of 20 fucking scumbags having a barbeque in the street and even refusing Police orders to stop it. Again, because of the extreme PC state we've got ourselves into, the Police were having to tread extra carefully when it comes to certain sections of society. If these measures aren't enough, then bring in fecking Marshall Law. Arrest the bastards, take them away and put them in a camp for a year.

Pelosi and her fucking identity cnuts wing of the Dems are blocking a gigantic 2 trillion dollar package to help business and workers. 50% to workers and 50% to business - you know, the very people who create the jobs and the wealth for a country to thrive. So yes, the people will remember this come election time and give the Dems the same kind of kicking Corbyn and his cronies got. Over here we had David Lammy being interviewed about the virus and turned it into an opportunity to plug his fucking book and politics. Playing politics at a time like this should never be forgiven and to be fair most are not.

They should show the Chelsea vs Leeds Cup final replay. Make the younger generations eyes pop out. I think you had to murder someone to get sent off in that game.

A lot of Yanks don't get the British sense of humour. Especially our wonderful ability to laugh in the face of adversity. Nobody is making light of this truly dreadful virus by seeing the funny side. It's just people trying to put on smile on peoples faces during this dark time.

Give me some good, old ABBA any day of the week! Proper music, over souless, computer generated bleeps.
-
FFS, at a time like this its time to stop playing party politics!!!!!! He is following the scientific and medical advice being given to him.

Sorry, but this is just another example of today's extreme political correctness and looking for racism and xenophobia in anything and everything. Spanish Flu. Asian Flu and now Chinese Flu. Just common names for viruses and nothing more than that. If a new virus started in the USA, i have no doubt people would start calling it Yank Flu.
-
The Spanish flu wasn't racist but the Chinese flu is racist. hmmm....
-
No point getting upset with people like them who spout such stuff. Just pity them for beiing the way they are.

Here in the UK the governments science advisor on the virus said 20,000 would be a good outcome for the UK. Obviously he knows far, far more me, but that figure seems optimistic in the extreme! 5 years ago we lost 27,000 to flu, so no way are we going to keep this down to anywhere near 20,000.
-
Even when the worst of this horrid thing is over the scientists expect another spike next year, so it's likely we'll see another period with no games. So, taking everything into account i think the best move would be to cancel next seasons leagues. That would leave plenty of time to finish off all of this seasons leagues and cups and enough time for next seasons cups.
