  1. Blimey Vesper, for someone so clearly bright, you do read things the wrong way sometimes. I did not condemn Germany for actually banning the export of equipment. I condemn then for double standards they've shown towards America taking the masks. Both actions are as bad as eachother, but under these horrendous circumstances I support the actions of both America and Germany doing what they did. I care about everybody, but I care about my family and those close to me, more than I do complete strangers. I care about the health and safety of the British people more than I do about the people of other countries. That's just basic human nature!
  2. Oh dear!!!
  3. Jolyon Maugham, the campaigning lawyer who backed legal action against Brexit, described the criticism as "silly." "No fan of Rees -Mogg, and of course super profits must be properly taxed, but this is a bit silly. SCM wants to invest in bombed out share prices. This is actually a good thing as higher share prices will make it easier for those businesses to attract fresh capital and survive," Maugham said on Twitter.
  4. It will only be for the virus emergency, not permanent free treatment.
  5. Can't think of a worse idea!
  6. Furthermore. The same Germany who banned exports of protective equipment. Shows this is not about morals, just very sad political point scoring at a time when none of us should be stooping so low. All Governments should be putting the lives of their people first! Looking after others when and where we can is always very important, but a clear second to looking after your own first!
  7. Boris's popularity rating has gone up since the election, so what are you on about? Sad that you say that it's "right wingers" who are costing lives, when its happening to countries left and right. Nobody saw any of this shit coming, Left or Right! ALL are doing their absolute best in a nightmare situation that none of us have ever experienced before. Bit more to add. Sure, America should reimburse Germany, but under such desperate, extreme circumstance I support their right to take those masks. I would want our government to take masks from a UK company abroad. Trump is trying to divert resources in America from some states to others that need them even more, so he's being consistent in what he's basically trying to do.
  8. Masks from an American Company! How dare the President put his own people before others, especially when his country is going to suffer way more than any other country in the world. Sorry, but you Lefties really have become so desperate. Little wonder so many people have seen the light and turned away from them like never before.
  9. I got this news from an RT show last night. All they said was, that what Trump was doing in giving free treatment was as very radical and unexpected. I think they said something about testing but I talking at the time, so not paying attention to that bit.
  10. I will be really interested to see how Sweden comes out all of all this. By refusing to lockdown they are very much going their own way on this. Many have said they are being stupid and reckless (I'm one who couldn't believe what they were doing) but seeing an interview with a Swedish expert on viruses I'm starting to think that in the longterm they might be right. They are saying the crashing of the economy, the damage that will do to the health service and the health issues that will arise from people being locked in, that will be worse than basically sacrificing some lives (the large majority being elderly) in the short term. Of course, every life lost is deseperately sad, but It's a question of putting the immediate saving every single life we can over the saving of the economy, health care, which obviously saves lives longterm, and the allround well being of the country.
  11. Trump has gone much further than the Dems wanted to go on this, and effectively introduced a free health service giving free treatment to everyone who needs it.
  12. As they said from day one they are going by the scientfic advice they are being given. If Boris had behave like a Commie dictator one can imagine the backlash he'd have been given in the media. Yes, mistakes have been made but we're no different from most other countries. No government has ever had to deal with a health and economic crisis of this level at the same time. They are doing the best they can, as are all governments across the world. Amazing to think some on here think the likes of Corbyn, Abbot and McDonnell would have done any better just months after their ludicrous policies were laughed out of town in the election only a few short months ago.
  13. The running of the tubes has fuck all to do with Boris! For that you can blame your wonderful leftie Mayor. You know, the cnut who says London is not an English city. That twat couldn't run a piss up in a brewery!
  14. Sky News showed the latest data and it showed we are indeed going to quickly overtake Italy and Spain and that's with us being a couple of weeks behind them. With what is now starting to look like a catastrophic loss of life, on top of that we now have the media starting to turn on the government. I just pray panic and disorder does not arise and that we peacefully and respectfully ride this out. Everyone is obviously trying their very best, but sadly, it looks like we've made/making big mistakes.
  15. I couldn't care less about what bonus Levy earned last year because that is bog standard business practice. Also dont care how much Lewis is worth. What is truly outrageous and disgusting is the club applying for the government scheme. Utterly shameful!
  16. Up about 400 a day in a couple of days. If this kind rise continues, we'll very soon be losing over a 1000 a day which above that of Italy and Spain.
  17. Holy shit! At this scary rate of deaths we'll overtake and well pass the rate of Italy and Spain. The health service isn't even overrun yet so something is going badly wrong.
  18. I knew animal rights were not something China cared about, but i was genuinely shocked and outraged by what I've seen and heard this week. But, it has to be said there are still lots of other countries who need to do more to get up to speed with decent rights and treatment for animals,, but none more so than China!
  19. That's extremely rare and in no way compares to the openly public, off the scale cruelty happening in China. Thanks to public pressure and successive governments, we have been amongst the most progressive countries in the world when it comes to animal welfare, conditions for livestock and slaughterhouse practices and as we know, we're now in the process of taking even further measures with the banning of the transportation of live animals.
  20. I'm spraying Detol on everything in a tin, box or packet. Still get the odd cnut in supermarkets who make zero attempt to keep anykind of distance. Grrrr!!!! Had to pop into a local garage today and got chatting to the cashier. Asked where he got his face mask and told him I'm waiting for some I've bought online. He not only gave me a spare one, but also told me the garage has packages of food they will give to vulnerable people in need and told me to ask if I know someone who needs help. When this is all over, I hope some of this kind of spirit lives on in all of us.
  21. It"s great that you and others donate. But, to put an end to this we need the governments of the worlds major countries to get together and tell the Chinese government to put an end to it or suffer significant economic sanctions plus sporting and cultural boycotts. China not bring allowed to take part in the Olympics next year would send a real message! In the meantime, I'm just going to stop buying anything from China.
  22. Whats going on is so sickening i don't want to go into too much detail, but yes, everything from dogs to bats. They are norhing short of hell hole turture chambers.
  23. I hope this feeling goes away, but at the mo I could care less if I never see another football match or any sporting event again.
  24. I would bet good money it started in that market in Wuhan! Such absolutely disgusting levels of hygiene and barbaric treatment of living creatures that sooner or later some serious shit was bound to evolve.
  25. It was just RT rolling news at the bottom of the screen with no more info than I gave.
