Has the lad been out partying every night, or something? TT really doesn't rate him at all now, or giving him a fair crack.
-
Holy cow, that midfield looks extremely weak. Would have played CHO over James.
-
No club will pay him anywhere the money he's on at Chelsea. Maybe not even half of what he's getting now. Also, with the poor standard he's at now, i can't see any prem club paying much for him either. So, will he want away from us knowing he's going to earn a fraction of what he's getting now, or do we keep a player we know is no longer good enough for us and keep loaning him out? So, again, my opinion is to get him off the wage bill with that very nice, goodwill gesture, which I think he deserves.

Danger with City having nothing to play for when they meet us is they could go out completely relaxed and shit all over us. But even is they do have nothing to play for, they won't want to lose two on the trot to us, so count on them being up for it.
-
Big result for us! Just need to win tomorrow and be right back in with a chance of catching Leicester. They've got as tough a run in as us too, which makes top four all the more open now
-
It wasn't that long ago when there were quotes of Villa paying 40 million for Barkely, but now he's not even worth 15? I would have him back as a fringe squad player but nothing more than that. Seeing that Loftus is a Chelsea boy who's had his career with us ended by playing in a charity match, I wouldn't be adverse to see us give him a free transfer as a goodwill gesture.

I like Scott Parker and given time he could go on to be a good manager. However, no room for any sentiment here, so I want to see the lads make up for that horror show against Brighton and give Fulham a good stuffing. Has three days rest and another three before the 2nd leg, so there can be no excuses about being tierd. 2 - O.

Yes, that's my real worry too. He just looks a tecnically poor player for this level. When top strikers are in a slump of form it usually only takes a good game and a goal to get them going again. So far, when Timo has a good game and scores a goal, he goes back to being shite again in the following games, and I have to wonder why.
-
But Drogba was never just about scoring goals for us. Great team player and one of the truly great big match players.
-
Point hammered home tonight! Quite sad to see a once mighty league being so poor now. Again, if we want to secure 4th place for the next few years then by all means sign the big lump. But no way in hell should we go anywhere near him if we are thinking seriously about challenging for the title.
-
I don't see any "hate" for Timo. Far from it! I think lot of fans like him and are willimg him to do well. Those dissing him are just disappointed and frustrated with all these almost comical misses he keeps on making which are hurting the teams efforts.

Tammy and Zouma are useful squad players, so id keep them, but I'd like to see all of the others in that list moved on Giroud has done well for us, but we need another younger striker. Jorginho is not a bad player by any means, but the current three midfielders are not and never will be a good fit together, so out of that three I'd move him on.
-
Yes, Tammy can hardly do any worse than Werner, so I hope TT starts him against Fulham. Some fans are saying we should sell Tammy in the summer, but I'm not so sure we should. He's good enough as a 3rd choice striker the same way as Zouma is good enough as a 3rd or 4th CB. Depends on whether they are prepared to want to be more than that at Chelsea. Chances of winning trophies over playing week in week out at a lower level club? Difficult choice to make.

With such poor attendances, I can't see the Italian league ever being à great league again. Top players want to play in packed stadiums, not half empty ones. Been like that for a very long time now, so it seems like many Italians simply fell out of love with football and there's not much you can do about that. Happening in America too now with huge declines in TV ratings for their sports like Baseball and Basketball, with just a couple of million out of 340 million people watching these days.

A lot of Lukau's goals at Utd were against the weaker teams or when they already had games won. He was shire in the big games for them and looked miles below the level of the real top strikers like a Kane, Aguero, Salah et all. Yes, he scored enough for Everton and I'm sure Tammy would score well for a club the level of Villa, but thats very different from doing it at clubs chasing for the title. As for his exploits in Italy. Well, sadly, that's another piss poor league and easy pickings for flat track bullies. That's why I have reservations about Haaland or any more expensive buys from Germany.
-
Exactly! Apart from us continually messing up in and around the box when in great posustions, far too often we don't get enough players into the box.TT is too worried about us being caught short if we lose the ball so the balance between defence and attack is not how it needs to be. Regardless of who we sign in the summer, this is a major problem that needs fixing as there's no way we challenge for the title playing like this week in week out. As for Werner's future? I'd give him (and Kai) until next Xmas to start showing they're going to be good enough. One and a half seasons is enough time for any player to settle in and perform well.
-
I dont care what he does elsewhere, Lukaku showed at Utd he was not good enough for a team that wants to win the Prem. Most Utd fans couldn't wait to see the back of him so why should we even think about trying to sign him?
-
I'm actually quite relaxed about this game, more to than I was for the game against West Ham. In previous years, when we got this far it was nothing more than what was expected from us. Losing a CL SF back then really, really hurt. Of course, I'll be disappointed if we go out, but not like previous years, because really, if we're being honest, this current team isn't top four in Europe level. Its a big bonus for us jusr being in it at this stage and anything more would be an amazing, extra bonus. So yeah, for a nice change, i can just sit back and enjoy this one
-
There was a time when the Spuds fans could at least enjoy the nice football they played. We're more likely to see Halley's Comet again before these aerial losers win anything again.
-
Azpi got a bit of flack from some fans during yesterdays game, yet the guys on MOTD thought he played pretty well. Funny how people can watch a match and have very different opinions on who did or did not play well.
-
Yes, its quite odd how our really bad results and performances have come against the weaker teams. Outplayed by a very good Liverpool at the start of the season, a shocker at Arsenal and Leicester too good on the day are the only bad ones against the good teams.
-
Yeah, great game after his rare stinker on Tuesday.
-
Need our wide players stepping up as well tho.
-
Should have won by 3 or 4.
-
Huge, huge win!!!!
